Good morning--  To-day is Saturday, the 23rd of May--we had sun-- lost it now--overcast--kinda cool-- not raining however--yet!--I am late posting-- the wash has been done--even in the dryer--AND PUT away-So--I do hope that your day will be perfect, as the duck says below--

Gil has been here the last few days working on building a garden in the tiny yard--I have Andrew and Tim dropping in sometime to-day to see if he is right with how he is building it--or am I right--(LOL)---This is when I miss Fred--He used to know everything--Life is difficult when I don't know how things should be done--  My Dad who was a Civil Engineer would know how this thing should be built-- He isn't here either--So--- what to do --what to do?-I wish I knew everything--

So, there are words I wish I knew--below---

                        #1.Moderation can be learned

#2.As long as you are alive, you can still hope

                        #3.Never look back

                        #4.Rise early

Grandchidren in Gramma's kitchen--Can yu identify them?-(Ava, Ethan, Jacob. Sophia, Emma and Andy )  --

So,       I must   get busy here-- an overcast cool day going on-- Son#4 told me to quit doing things--LOLOL-- Time to get off the computer.

I hope your day is fabulous--Remember to be kind to the animals--Ask others about themselves--Live  each day as it comes--and no matter hat happens in life, there can always be an occasional bright moment, so, keep your cool--and, stop trying to control the uncontrollable.-We must create a loving home!

  1. Morning Lynda,
It was raining here all day yesterday, overnight and this morning up until about 2 hours ago. We got 3 inches for rain according to my rain gauge. It's now just overcast skies but every now and then the sun peaks out. Rain is predicted on and off all weekend.
Sounds like you have a lot of help with your garden set up. I am sure they will get it done right and to your liking.
I have a retirement open house to go to and then dinner with friends. Going to be a busy day. Enjoy yours!
Give Lopez and Sushi a cuddle.
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  5. Hi Lynda
Another drizzly day in St.Louis. We have had huge rains...like 3 inches earlier this week.
Your garden has turned into quite a project. Hope your boys know the right way for your planter. Yes, guys know stuff. Since Ed died March 1st I'm clueless about a lot of things. I miss him terribly.
Hope you enjoy your day. I always like the words of wisdom. Thank you for sharing.

  6. Glad you had some sun, even if it’s cloudy now. We had clouds and now there’s some sun. Made it to 60 Today. Rain tonight.

LOVE the photos. Your grandkids are just adorable.

And for sure, that’s a huge life lesson . . . we cannot control situations, but we CAN control how we react.

  8. Your words of wisdom really hit home with me today! "Remember to be kind to the animals--Ask others about themselves--Live each day as it comes--and no matter hat happens in life, there can always be an occasional bright moment, so, keep your cool--and, stop trying to control the uncontrollable.-We must create a loving home!
I am so mad at my one cat that loves to get some outside time everyday....in his little harness with an air tag on it. He killed a little bird today....I feed the birds! So this was terribly upsetting to me. I know it is just in their instinct to do this, but he is well-fed and does not need to attack the little birds! So now I have a dilemma...and my other dilemma is that after I finished mowing for 3 hours and wanted to finish up with weed eating, my weed whacker died! And lastly, I have opened my pool, but the weather is too cool and now I am pumping chemicals and electricity in it to keep it running for no reason as nobody wants to come swim in freezing weather! I have missed a couple of days of reading your blogs, but I am happy to hear you got your blinds and that your got you online banking straightened out! I love the new honeycomb blinds that my insurance company paid for after they had to be replaced from the heavy soot from the dehumidifier fiasco! And I really like to do my bill paying online on my computer, so I am happy you got your problem all straightened out!
