Good Morning---To-day is a brand new day--and we are a part of it--
Wednesday, October 21st--dark still--
Lopez and I are up--The wash machine is chugging away behind me--I think it must be cold outside--I just feel it--The floor is cold--I was talking to my sisters grown son yesterday, who told me that his Mom, (my older sister) had "Macular" in her eyes--same as me--which, I guess we both inherited from my Mom--When My Mom was alive, there was no treatment for her Macular--and she went completely blind.--So, the good news now, is that there now is treatment, which does not cure it, but will save your sight for a bit longer--and, according to her son, there are new treatments now on the horizon--so, I guess there is always hope!Words I wish I had written
#1.You can't try to do things-you simply must do things--
#2. Believe the best of everybody.
#3.Vote in every election.
#4.Don't be critical of your spouses friends.
#5.Don't make a date for anything more than a month in advance.
and--Blasts from the past
Below--boy oh boy--The whole "HERD" of us! Looks like "Ba-HA"--- Fred-with another Birthday--Below and there he is again--many years ago-- Many years later-- Fred, below and--look what happened---below

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteAnother nice day here with sun and comfortable temperatures, low 70'sF.
Sounds like you are staying positive about your Macular Degeneration diagnosis. They are coming up with new treatments that weren't around before as your nephew told you.
I was grocery shopping on Monday and the prices are so ridiculous. Prices have doubled on a lot of items. It's crazy! What do you do though, food is not an option. Lol. Not sure if the prices there are a lot higher.
Wishing you a great day!
Hugs,
Jackie
Good morning, Lynda! It is high 67 and sunny in Ohio. How nice you talked with your nephew yesterday. I think the last pic of your sweet family was taken during covid. Such a nice pic! I loved my new doctor yesterday. She is from Iran and my husband spoke to her in her language that he learned in the military. There was only one small thing about her and that was she doesn’t think a medicine I was on a few years ago about done me in with extreme burning neuropathy. I know it was! But why argue over it so I let it go. I stopped the med and it went fast away after two years of suffering. I done fine for a long time on it so never think it’s not the med even if it worked for awhile Anyways, in my small town not a lot of choices so I will keep her. I hope you have a wonderful day. I have Sadie things to do, too. Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteIt's broght and beautiful here, but a bit colder.
Lucky is wanting to get in the bedroom and go to sleep on a pile of my sweatshirts on the shelves. I shut the door and he doesn't like it. In a bit more than 1/2 hour a friend is coming to help me get him in his crate and down to the car for his vet appt.
By the time I was ready to get back to you yesterday, you had already checked and I wasn't there yet. I forget why. Maybe cuz I had nothing really to add about how my day progressed.
Love the blasts! My goodness, what a large family! And Fred's birthdays...no dock photos today.
You've already got some stuff done. By the time we get the vet visit done, I'll be wiped out.
Love the wise words.
To stay young longer: move more (that's what I gotta do), eat a healthy diet (very few junk foods, lots of lean protein, veggies, fruits, nuts and whole grains), have social connections (like Dave), try new things and have a spiritual conection, too. I just got another email today listing those things. Oh, and regular sleep, too.
Gotta go now. I's 9:05 and I'm not even out of my robe yet. I PROMISE I will be back to let you know what the vet said. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Good Wednesday morning to you Lynda, and big hugs back to you. You and Fred have quite a legacy to be proud of with your large family. All of your children with great occupations and some of your grandchildren off to University. We might get some rain today and tomorrow in So California, which would be nice. I hope your grocery shopping went well, but maybe some sticker shock when you saw the prices, at least that's how it is in the US. Enjoy your day.

It's Kathy. It's another beautiful day here today. Yesterday I got some of my herb garden pulled up. I'd like to do a little bit more outside today but I have to be careful I don't do too much. I'm finally healing with my leg but oh my back has been bothering me! I don't think that's fixable with the rods & pins in my back. Yes, our pets are so smart and so wonderful to have. I talk a lot to Daisy. Every now and then Tom will say "What?" and I have to tell him I'm just talking with Daisy! More great photos. I love your big family. It's been so many years since my family has been all together. Enjoy your day. Good luck with the grocery shopping. I avoid that as long as possible but I think it will have to happen sometime.this week too!
