How You Doin?

Good Morning----To-day is Saturday, October 24th---It is very dark outside --still---but--  we are "up and at-er" here--Lopez and I--

I decided not to  go out --up to Laurentian Lodge , to-day,--for a "memory walk"--It was planned for to-day--I think, with the "Macular Trip" again to Sudbury--again soon, I think it is too much to leave Lopez alone here in the tiny house.----Too bad, but I was recently sick too, so it is probably better to stay home to-day--I just feel it in my bones--

                        So---Words I wish I had written--

#1.Do what matters most at the time

#2.If you know nothing, say nothing.

#3.He who laughs, lasts.

#4. Sometimes things that hurt, teach.

                            and---  Blasts from the Past

Below--  Fred with Jacob
                                                    Below--2 dogs in the snow

Jacob wanting to play football
Jacob and his sister --getting ready for Halloween
another Birthday for Fred
Charlee and me--
Time to get on with this day--It is still dark  out there--I hope that your day is  good--Remember--time flies when you are having fun--Love the way you want to be loved--You only  live once--Tell your children that  you love them--even tell your pets--and when you're angry , count to ten-----oh--and of course, big hugs to you--

  1. I love your blog to read in the morning to get me going. Wanted to know if Wind at my Back was filmed near you. It is run on BYU channel and streaming. It is about a family in the 1930s living in Canada. It was originally produced by PBS, Canada.....I watch it every afternoon. Very well done. I do not normally write here but wanted to let you know what a good job you are doing. Thanks.

  2. Good morning, sis.

    It's sunny and 64F here.

Love the blasts. Charlee is adorable...as are you, BTW. Dogs on the dock...love it. And Fred celebrated lots of birthdays!

I looked down as I finished in the bathroom awhile ago and saw blood spots all up and down the left side of my robe. Then I remembered...shortly before as I walked past him, Lucky had lashed out with the little daggers in his mouth. I didn't think it felt like much. I guess it was. Terrible how as we 'age' our skin (and other parts) get thinner and more vulnerable.

It is probably good you stay home. Unless this is the only memory walk they have. If that's the case...go, enjoy and socialize.

I have lots of stuff on my plate today. Just little things that I tend to let go for awhile. Better get to it. Whatever you do today, enjoy! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy and it's still morning! We are having our last really nice day - tomorrow rain and cooler weather is coming. So I will make sure to get Daisy out for a short walk. I think you're wise to listen to your body and stay home if that's what it's telling you. I am finally healing and really could go back to the gym, but winter is on the way and I'm not sure I'm interested in the gym anymore. I have videos that I can use here at home and I do stretch every evening - it relaxes me at the end of the day. Maybe that's enough. I hope you have a really great day!

  5. I am so mad at myself! I don't think counting to 10 will help as I have been mad at myself for several days now. I hate to admit why - but a couple of days ago, I accidentally backed my car slowly into my garage as I always do, because it it easier to pull out when I want to go somewhere. At any rate, some how I did not realize that the door was not entirely opened....and the very top of my car (which I just got in March!) hit the door! So the garage door guy came out and now I have to get a new garage door! Fortunately almost no damage to my car - just a little light scratch on the thing that hangs over the back lift (SUV) door. So now I will be out almost $3,000! So now you know why I am so mad at myself.....I will eventually get over it, but I can't believe how I ever did that! Sometimes I do the dumbest things! Sigh.
