It's Kathy. I love the Lucille Ball quote - a really good one! It's cold here too but the sun is shining. I think I'm going to try and take Daisy for a very short walk - we both need it and my back and leg have been at peace for the past 4 days. I'm glad you're feeling better. I had one of those "things went wrong" events yesterday. I was cleaning the fridge (for the first time in a very long time) so I was taking EVERYTHING out. It's 23 years old and apparently water had been dripping into the side and freezing there. Tom had to help me put all the pieces pieces back in and one side had twisted. He had to use a screwdriver to pull it back enough to get the pieces to fit and we heard what sounded like ice crashing to the bottom - well, it was ice that had frozen into the side of the fridge. With everything off it was now melting and flooding my kitchen. Luckily he had a vacuum to suck up the water but he must have gotten a couple of gallons. What a mess - we were working on it until 8:30 pm last night. Thankfully, he made it work that we can use the fridge until we can afford to buy a new one - and since it's 23 years old we probably need one. If it isn't one thing, it's another! Hope you have a good day and continue healing.
ReplyDeleteMorning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better. I still need to get my flu shot. It's just trying to find time, but I need to make time to get it.
It's a cool one here today, only 48F right now and the expected high is only 54F. The leaves are falling, and won't be fun to rake but all the colors of the leaves are pretty.
I'm going to work on washing inside windows today. Trump is speaking just a few miles from me at Northern Kentucky University this afternoon and they have been warming people about all the extra traffic that will be in the area. I plan to stay far, far away from that. The main road through here is busy enough without any extra traffic.
Anyway, I hope you continue to feel better. Stay warm and cuddle with Lopez and Sushi.
Hugs,
Jackie
A chilly 49 degree day today. It felt nice and crisp out, with a little wind, as well. This is our first cold spell.
ReplyDeleteContinue to feel better, and enjoy your cozy living room!
