Good morning-- to-day is Tuesday, the 20th of October--I have been up for a couple hours here, but busy with washing-- the dryer--Lopez--- Sushi-- Phone calls from Allison and Son#2--Incidentally, the TV--CBC-- tells me that Alberta voted to stay in Canada---- That is good! - I hear that Trump was chomping at the bit to take over Alberta, probably because of their oil-----so much craziness everyday--
So, I see it is daylight , finally, outside--and I am feeling better-- I have had some sort of terrible flu--coughing all the time--and coughing up so much thick mucous--which is getting a lot better now, after what seems like a lot of meds--antibiotics-- The whole horrible virus was in my chest, and seems a bit better now--but I feel like I have been thru the ringer--(Mom used to say that)---So---
Words I wish I had written--
#1.Keep track of your life by writing in a journal--
#2.You cannot love a pet too much.
#3.Let no-one see you in a hurry.
#4.If you think you cannot, then you will not.
Blasts From The Past
-----------such a beautiful calm day, on the dock--Holy Cow --It is "me"--when my husband was alive--
Early morning fog over the lake--on Dunlop

Good morning, Lynda! My husband was stationed in Alert and Ottawa when he was in the Navy! He loved it there! Trump fell off the turnip wagon! I’m happy you talked to the kids this morning. Tell Allison you are coming to Medina soon! LOL! Cool but nice and sunny in Ohio. I have my new doctor appointment this morning. It is a woman after six years of men! Wish me luck. Enjoy your day! Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you like your new woman Doctor--Let me know-- I am SO so fortunate that I got a new Dr after moving here and I appreciate that so so much--I would love to get to Medina Fred and I flew there , out of Toronto one year long ago--, Cool here also, but sunny--a nice day starting-Let me know how yu made out with your new Dr--Hope it goes well--Hugs,. Lynda
ReplyDeleteSunny and cold here also--Lynda
ReplyDeleteMorning!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be another sunny day here and might make it to 70F.
I won't complain about that.
Well, while I was out yesterday, I did get my flu shot so now that has been taken care of. My arm is a little sore but other than that, no symptoms.
As always love the pictures!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
Hugs,
Jackie
Good that yu got that flu shot--It is a very bad bug--I hope yu do NOT get the flu now-- I was out to Andrews --nice to chat with him--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis!
ReplyDeleteWe have sunshine today and the highs will be in the low 70sF! Wow.
Love the blasts...Charlee loves French fries! The peaceful dock is beautiful a is the lake. Lopez is resting on a cool looking pillow on your sofa.
I'm glad I don't have to tell you the news about Alberta. I got it in an email today.
The election is coming up...we gotta vote! It's not the Presidential election yet, but governors and congress (wo)men. We get enough Democrats, that will help with toning down what he wants and make it more likely to vote him out in two more years.
Enjoy your trip to town and have a great day. Not much going on around here. I will return later, either with more of my day or just to check comments. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Dear Miss -Maggie--In spite of the darn flu, it wAs a good day here--went out to chat with Andrew--just nice to chat with someone--It is quite mild here---I like it--and sunny--Lynda
DeleteI shall look for yu later--Hugs--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. We are having another really nice day. It's likely going to become fall in another week or so, but for now I'm going to enjoy it. Daisy and I will attempt another walk today, maybe before lunch. I talk to Daisy all the time and she certainly lets me know what she's thinking! This morning after I finished my breakfast I got up to put my dishes in the sink and she started walking to my office. That's what I do next and she was ready. Love the photos today. You have a wonderful family! Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteSo good that Daisy knows your routine--They are so smart eh?? and--even smarter when one talks to them--It was quite a lovely day here also--Lynda
Deleteseemed a bit like summer here to-day--Lynda
DeleteHi, it's Marti. Glad you are feeling some better. It's a lovely sunny day here too, going to be 69, and sunny. I'll take it! I go to the Wellness Center this afternoon, do the NuStep and the armbike and some free weights, and then home again. Social Security enrollment in the bag, had a phone appt yesterday with them, best outcome possible for me. That's a relief. I will choose to continue working 3 days a week for a sense of purpose and some socialization, until I can't anymore, or choose not to. The extra money won't quite cover what I make at the job, but it will help some when I DO step down.
ReplyDeleteMarti
So Marti, are you changing jobs??----maybe not working as much--or what??--Anyway, it sounds good to me!--LOL-=-Lynda
DeleteI am so glad that Canada stays the same I do not feel that we need to change what already works

The words of kindness are more healing to a drooping heart than balm or honey.
