Good Morning Beautiful World!

Well, I had to post the above--Sorry about the language--  but--  I get a great deal of advice handed out to me by my family----  Kids know everything!--Well, at least they think they do??--LOL-----I just listen and try not to comment, because I know I will do whatever I think I should-- At least it shows that they care doesn't it??

We have sun---mild temps-- AND--I am heading to the hairdresser---  justa "wash and set"-so I will not be long--  The AC is flying--AGAIN---- I guess it will be another very hot day--and the piano tuner will be here to wrap the piano with love-----(Pianos do not like to be moved!)-

To-day is---July4th---- Mom used to say, "the glorious 4th" -It must be a holiday in the U.S.--and--

Yes, to-day IS going  to rock!! Lets repeat that several times so-- make it rock!

Below---a couple of "blasts" from the past--

ABOVE----son#2 with Fred on one side of the table
Son#2 and Himself--- It's all about Food!!--

You can be strong--  Enjoy your July 4th , to all in the U.S,---even to everyone in Canada--

  1. Good Morning Lynda,
I love the first graphic and it's good advice. I will need to remember that next time someone pisses me off instead of getting angry or losing my temper.
    Enjoy your hair day.
Hubby and son are camping this weekend, it's not my thing, so I will be hanging out with my cats and doing a few fun things around town.
    Happy Friday and July 4th

  2. Good morning, sis.
It's a beautiful day here, also. Very hot and getting hotter (like I used to do). T Storm chance this afternoon, and the humidity is high.
Tomorrow it's supposed to cool off and storms all day. Sigh. Parts of summer are terrific!
Yes, it's Independence Day in the US. Nowdays that name isn't used a lot, but I prefer it Independence Day is on July 4.
Blasts from the past are wonderful. You have a great family and lots of memories. Remember the good ones.
The movers are pros at piano packing and moving. It will be fine again in Elliot Lake.
There are barbeques all over (except here). There will be fireworks tonight. Lucky isn't bothered too much, but I know doggies are. We only have 1 dog in the building now and 4 cats.
I'm just chillin.' Dishes, recyclables, etc.
Think I'll have my kinda eggs florentine concoction for supper. Whole grain toast topped with sunny side up eggs, dollops of spinach and cheese melted over all. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. It's Kathy. Yes, it's our 249th birthday in America! But it's so hot. Already 82 degrees when Daisy and I went outside this morning. A lot of people will be celebrating and waiting for the fireworks tonight - not us! We will stay indoors with the air conditioning - and I turned it down one degree from what I usually set it. It's a Holiday after all and that's how I'm celebrating it. My son is coming for lunch - we'll have hot dogs on the grill and potato salad, maybe some fruit. He just got back from a long weekend in Los Vegas where he participated in a Historical Fiction Conference. He has a publishing company that publishes Historic Fiction - he said he bought several authors' books and since he doesn't have time to read them all he's bringing them to me! Yes, our adult children do tend to forget that we TAUGHT them everything they know! It's true that many of the new contraptions are a bit foreign to us - and who needs to know all that technology anyway. But the common sense stuff they know because we knew it first! I also listen, say little, and then do whatever I think is best! Happy Friday!

  4. Yes, Happy 4th to all. I am bummed, we were going to go watch fireworks tonight, but it seems they all happened on the 2nd or 3rd. How lame! What happened to having celebrations on the actual DAY? Anyway, we'll be having cookout food w/all the fixin's - only indoors, not outdoors. The hotdogs will be microwaved! :) It's also going to be very hot out in Central Ohio. 90 or so.

Tomorrow we may go swimming. It's looking like maybe the only weekend it hasn't rained so far.

  5. Happy Friday! It’s 87 and sunny in Ohio! I hope you enjoyed your hair appointment. I have yard work to do but will wait until it cools off. I will be Sadie inside sipping iced coffee for now. Yes, exhale is all we can do! Nice photos. They are enjoying their food. It is the 4th with fireworks tonight. Tommy and Kloi will not be happy. We have a thundershirt that our little Kilo always wore when needed. Have a wonderful evening. Hugs!

  6. Ohhhhhh I hear you. Kids have lots of advice, but . . . they don’t have the advantage of the experience our “older years” give us to know what’s right (or not) for ourselves. Listen and bite the tongue, right!?!

LOVELY photos of the past. LOVELY memories attached.

Hot and humid here. Oh well. IT’s July, right.

    Hugs and blessings
