Never give up!

Good Morning--To-day is Monday, May 15th--cloudy here--misty--- looks like rain is in store here for to-day--hope not, but---it does look a tad "iffy"-!-
--The wash is done--must get to the dryer--Lopez goes to the groomer this AM--I hope she doesn't cancel-I shall return-- So, Son#4 arrived yesterday, with a hammer and screws on his hand, and announced--"Mom I am going to hang those pictures you told me about"--and he did--hung them on the wall going to the 2nd floor-                            -                                    Below--  Grandchildren

Above-To the 2nd floor in my tiny house

Above--The family many many years ago
                                            note-- all the dogs

Above , My Grampa's picture which I never forgot--how he met Gramma--a teacher , on Scugog Island--near Port Perry, ONTARIO--and his horse, named Fred took them back home--How we loved that story!
Now years and years have passed--but, I have so many precious                     memories of the "olden days" as we used to call them--We absolutely adored  going to Grampa's house--
Below--Gramp  (with the hat on)and Gramma----My Dad  holding arms--                with Gramma many many years ago--

                            So--Words I wish I had written--
#1.  If you give more, then you have more to give.
#2.  Don't let being tired stop you--
#3. We are not ment to fly solo.
#4.The most important thing a parent can do for the children is to love             the other parent.
so, life just goes on and on--
Everyday  seems to be a challenge to me-- Can I make it thru the day without the tears flowing?-- It seems sorta easier--I do enjoy being back here in Elliot Lake--The neighbours are wonderful--stop and talk always--The grown kids stop in more and more--  to say hello--  the Grandchildren call me  once on awhile--  and I feel that I do belong here--
As you can see below, we all love the North--

Ever onward here--I hope yu make your day a great day--Enjoy your                                 family--and love your life-
                        -Never lose your child heart!

  1. Good morning, Lynda! It is Memorial Day. Cloudy and nice in Ohio for our cookout with my son and his family. So excited! I stayed up late the last two nights getting food ready. I am wooped! LOL! I am glad Allison is enjoying the weather. I bet Mark is enjoying his family. Lopez will feel so good going to the spa. Our two yorkies went the other day. It makes them so tired. I hope you have a marvelous Monday! Hugs!

  2. It's Kathy. It's a very warm day here today - getting into the 80's. I have so much yard work to do but it will have to wait until the shade takes over the yard. Too hot to do it in the sun. I feel like we went from winter to summer. I love that your son came to hang your pictures. And they are such nice pictures! I enjoy having my family photos hung around the house. I also have 5 paintings that my Grandfather painted and those are so precious to me! I hope you have a good day today.

  3. Good morning Lynda, an array of wonderful photos. Glad your son stopped by to hang your framed photos. Now you can see them first thing in the morning when you come down your short staircase and again at night when you retire to your bedroom. Today is sunny and a pleasant 73 degrees. My kind of weather. Does Lopez enjoy going to the groomer? He'll be all spiffy when he returns. Have a good day.

  4. Good morning, sis.

It's a great day here...will be over 85F and no rain predicted.

Love all the photos. Bet if you counted them...there'd be close to 1,000! And I see a kitty cat in a girl's arms, too!

In the photo of the photos going up the stairs there's a cat, too. Looks like a tuxie like mine. I believe Sushi is a tabby, though. What's up with the other kitty?

I have laundry to do, too. Other than that, I am taking this Memorial Day to chill. We remember those that gave their lives serving their country during war time. Veterans Day in November is to honor those like me who 'made it through' when they served.

The last blog you mentioned brunch with Dave. Are you doing that today?

Elliot Lake and its environs sure are beautiful! I am happy you enjoy being there.

Okay, I'll get to it now. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

    Quote for the day
A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle and patriotism is loyalty to that principle.
