Every girl can change the world!

Good Morning  to y'all--cloudy here--wet -- foggy outside-

-and, to-day is Monday, May 4th--  --MAY___"Hurrah, Hurrah the first of May, outdoor necking starts to-day"--Finally, I can chant that!

"May--We can dance around the "May Pole"

and your voice  really can change the world--so, speak                     up---shout it from the rafters, that you can do anything--Let yourself go and never sell yourself short. Live all you can--Its a mistake not to--

Words I wish I had thought of---

#1.Be Humble

#2. Wisdom takes years to acquire

#3. Quit blaming everything on your parents

#4. Don't live with the brakes on--

                                 Blasts from the past

                                                    Dock days

--the cutest kids in the World!

                                                Fun on the lake

                                        The ice hut-- for fishing

Son#2,  Matt, with Allison's son, Jacob, Son#1, Andrew, Allison and                                 Son#3, Phil, the Police guy

Andie, Ava, Emma holding Charlee, and Ethan

So much always going on when Grandkids are around--

But--Time to get on with the day--a new day--a chance to get everything right--Learning to live is learning to let go--remember--If you work eight hours a day, and sleep eight hours a day, that gives you eight hours to do whatever you want----  You know--thinking is always free!-------so--get out there --and--change the world!

I have always wanted to know was a fishing hut kept warm or was it just to keep you dry and sheltered?

  4. Catching up on your blogs! Been in Florida attending a Smooth Jazz festival for 4 days! It was fun and nice, but I am happy to be back home....had a house/cat sitter while I was gone, but my cats are so happy that I am home....they both slept with me last night and have been taking turns just sitting on my lap and purring! hahaha! The good news I have is that my new humming bird feeders had their first hummers show up while I was out of town. My cat sitter sent me pictures! And I have seen at least two hummers this morning! I think I gained weight on my short trip...food wasn't that good, but since all of it was part of the jazz festival package, I kept eating! I am glad to be back to my house, where I can just eat what I want when I want! Funny thing to say, but I have become rather set in my widowed way of last and have my own routines! Happy May to you!

    3. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. For some reason beyond my understanding my blog list isn't updating anymore. So I've missed a few days of your blog- and honestly, I was starting to worry. The last blog I've seen is Thursday's. Guess I'll have to put your blog site in my favorites so I.can check directly. I'm glad to hear that all is well. Love the photos. We had a beautiful day yesterday - Tom, Daisy and I took a short walk and it's getting just a bit easier for me! I hope you have a great day!

I looked up the Regency - nice! Maybe you will be able to play that grand (or baby grand?) piano I saw in one of the pics. I looked at their Facebook page. Lots of good stuff last year but not much this year (must not currently have a social media person LOL). I saw one day they went to Red Lobster for lunch, Fred would have loved that! You will have to downsize a lot being in a 1 BR apartment, so don;t wait too long before starting to get rid of stuff (but be sure you're going first! :) ). I hope you enjoy your visit and that it works out for you whichever way you decide to go.

Yes I did. Very beautiful place. Lots of events (exercise, singing, movies, bingo, etc) to participate in. I also saw on the FB page that they participated in the Santa Claus parade last holiday season! A couple of retirement places at the beach where my condo is do that. Ours all ride in the bus but I saw some folks for Regency were actually walking in the parade!

  6. Good afternoon, sis. I am posting very late.

Had to take 'Becca to the ER. She has a blood clot in her leg. I swelled up badly and was painful.

Other than that, I am doing fine. I have an appointment at the VA tomorrow morning. I had what they said was harmless...a Seborrheic keratosis which is harmless. BUT it has grown very large, much darker than it was and itches like mad.

Yes, Lynda, you have the cutest grandkids...in Canada. I have the cutest in the US! I will send a photo to your email.

The doggie on the dock is cute. Did he ever just jump in?

About to vacuum my trouble spots here. I don't believe I could maneuver the big vac, but I have a marvelous Black & Decker hand vac that does a great job.

Tim McGraw did a song for his daughter, "Always be Humble and Kind."

I will come back later. Please have a great day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  8. Hello. I am now taking Mondays off. It's nice. My robot vacuum that I paid probably $800 for has died. It was from iRobot, which has filed for bankruptcy now. They used to make just the BEST vacuums. I used several at work which you emptied yourself and they just bumped and clunked around but were much better than these newfangled ones which just sit there in the middle of the floor and die. This one didn't even make it to 1 yr old. I called the company, but he said unless I had a receipt he couldn't do much for me. So I went and bought a cheap one. Might as well, since they don't last long enough to be worth lots of money.

It'll be fun for you to go try out the Regency. I did look it up and it looks very nice, a bit nicer than where I had my mom, which was just assisted living, and only had studio apartments. And only one level.

Yes, you seem chipper! Keep it up. I felt a bit better today than I did on Saturday. Yesterday I went out to eat with a neighbor which was nice. Like you, I DO get very lonely living alone and with no bf anymore to keep me company.

    Marti
