Stay strong!

Below--the topsoil which arrived very early this am-- and the roots   showing beside my tiny house which we hope to cover --so I do not break my back (Mom's expression) as I trudge to the gate to get into the back yard--

So, "another day--another dollar"-- (Mom's expression again!)--I have  the dishwasher chugging away in the kitchen--and again, Mom used to say, "Where there's a will, there's a way"--

Words I wish I had written--
#1 If you enjoy old age, then you have won the game.
#2.Do not rely on your wits alone!
#3. Don't peek into a cannon.
#4.Compliment others.

                            Below--Andie--Son#4's daughter
Below--  the guy who I married
and there he is AGAIN---with me--with Ava--Son#3's daughter--now                                                     in University

                    above--another Birthday--with 5 Grandchildren--

So--I must get moving here--To-day, do not forget to "Smell the roses" -"Compliment others" also--remember," If you can dream it, you can realize it--"--and, remember also, " ---"It takes great strength to be happy--"--so, "surround yourself with people who are more intelligent than you are--"---Now get off of here!  Go on--"GO"------

  1. Good morning Lynda
Rain on the way this evening, again. Just cloudy but pleasant now.
What in the world are you doing with all that dirt? You're going to work poor Gil to the nubbins. Sure sounds like idea about moving near pilot son isnt happening.
Gotta finish house duties then errands and off to gym. Enjoy your day.

  4. Good morning Lynda, I'm not sure whose idea it was to cover those roots, but it's a wonderful idea. Definitely a tripping hazard. You're busy every morning, so good for you. Has Lopez forgiven you for taking him to the groomer? He should be grateful. Now that Spring has finally arrived in your area, soon to be Summer in a matter of a few weeks, I don't blame you for wanting to plant flowers. You always did such a great job back at your big house on Elliott Lake. I hope your day continues to be enjoyable.

  5. It's Kathy. We have lots of roots like that in our back yard and one of these days we're going to have to get some dirt to cover them too. Our yard hasn't been taken care of for so long that it's all weeds and dirt. Not much grass. I'm trying to get the big garden completely weeded so we can get some dirt down and plant grass seed but it's a HUGE job and my husband isn't interested. So Daisy and I go out there most days and spend 30 - 45 minutes weeding. But this week it's in the high 80's and likely too hot for me! Last week we had the 40's, now the 80's - too much change for me. I love all your photos but my favorite today is you, himself and your granddaughter! Thanks for sharing your life with us!

    1. Aww Kathy-I must check--look for that picture--Fred loved all the Grandchildren---and I completely understand how yer hubby doesn't want to do the yard--Fred never did either-so--I took over hired help when I needed to tho--It wasn't that important-- Give him a beer and tell him to sit down and then hire someone--LOL-Lynda-

  6. Lynda, I hope you are NOT going to be moving that dirt yourself. Back when I was fifty-some, I did that kind of thing, and ended up with a torn ACL, followed by a knee replacement from back and forth wheelbarrowing. We finally hired someone to do all that. What was I THINKING, LOL?
