Up and at-er!

Good morning on this Saturday, the 30th of May-- The sun is out--cool here tho outside--And yes, I need a reminder that I CAN do hard things--and, if it's going to be, it seems its all up to me-- I used to be able to call Fred and ask for something to be done, but, now, life has taken a sudden turn. No sprinkler--no bug hat--  things that I used to have---gone---  so, many trips to Canadian tire to purchase all that--And yesterday,  a chord stuck on the piano and the sound came out muffled-- but, eventually a girl dropped in to say hello and she discovered the chord stuck down----It was like God up in Heaven sent her over to help me-- and now the piano sounds like it used to--

So, the washer is chugging away here-- Lopez needs to go out--A woman's work is never done , is it?--I shall return-

Now this is really from the past-if you look closely,  -look for the name "Allan"--That was my Dad's Father-----Everyone else in he picture , are his brothers and sisters---I absolutely love this picture--Look at their clothing! Look at how many children in his family-- His Mother and Dad emigrated from Scotland---farmed around the Port Perry area, near Toronto--

  2. Good morning, sis.

Your blasts are wonderful...That photo of your grandpa (great grandpa) is a keeper for sure. And Fred with his cake. So many lovely grandkids...

It's 66F here and due to be 82F. It's overcast, although there is no prediction of rain.

I am facing the world and lots of messes. My 2 'adopted' daughters brought over a huge ontainer of flowers 3 days ago or so. It had lots of big puffy white flowers with individual little petals within each big puff. Some lilacs were in there, too, but they didn't have many this year. The white ones were ready to be disposed of. They had long stiff stems. When I tried to put them in a garbage bag, the little petals separated and went all over: counters, runner rug in front of the sink, floor...Lucky wanted to eat them. I had to clean quickly. My little vac picked up a few and died. That is charging. I got the counters and sink done and just folded up the rug for now.

Sigh. Looks like it's a day for me to clean up messes. Lucky threw up, too, so that had to be cleaned.

I was planning to go to karaoke tonight, but that may change.

Off here for now to clean the cat messes.

Have a great day, and I will too...I am determined! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie.

  3. Good Morning,
Love all the pictures, especially the one of your Grandfather and his family. That's a lot of siblings. Of course, all the other pictures are great too.
It's going to be warm and sunny here today. Hubby and I are going to a yearly event called SummerFair. They have outside booths with all kinds of artists such as paintings, pottery, glass, etc. They also have live music and food booths. We have never been and it sounded like fun so we thought we would check it out.

    Have a wonderful day, Lynda!
    Hugs,

  4. Good morning, Lynda! It is high 68, sunny and breezy in Ohio. You have such cute grand kids! It’s neat that we both have an Ava. I commented late on your blog last night. I was the next town over helping family. Glad you got your piano fixed. Hope you have a super Saturday! Hugs!

  5. Good news about your piano! It is so disappointing when things go wrong or they overwhelm me as I don't know what to do.....but your "if it's going to be, it seems it's all up to me" quote today says it all for me. I just have to get up and do it. I weed-whacked my whole ditch yesterday....and it took several hours because I kept having to take a break and sit down for a bit. I kept looking at the weeds getting taller and taller and just didn't think I could do it, but I also knew that the longer the weeds got, it would be even harder to do. So today I am very sore and still have some little areas to weed eat...but I am determined to get them done - because there is nobody around to help me. Glad you got your piano fixed and that you are having a nice sunny day!

  6. Good morning Lynda, wow, that is a large family. Such a remarkable photo to have. You sound very energetic this morning. You didn't mention Dave, so will it be tomorrow when the two of you get together for brunch? I hope all goes well for you today and that you have an enjoyable weekend.
