Life can be tough, we must be strong-

Good morning--To-day is  Tuesday, June 23rd--Above is a picture of "The Women's Circle"--the group that I became a part  of the other night, when I travelled to the lodge up north of the city here-- I cannot  make the picture any larger, but, yes, I am in this picture--( Can yu see me?--standing up, in a black and white sweater, about in the middle, 2nd row-)-and yes, life "CAN"  be tough and yes, we must try to be strong--

The bed is stripped-- Lopez , Sushi, and me--We are all up--
The laundry is about ready to hit the dryer and the sheets from the bed will be put in the washer--I took the garbage to the road, in my night gown--

So many words I wish I had written--
#1.Be your own best friend.
#2.Exercise instead of worry.
#3.If you look the part, you better be the part.
#4. A good marriage gets better with time.
#5. Elbow grease gives the best polish.

Blasts from the Past
Cousins--Jacob and Ethan-above
more cousins-Emma, Ava-top step, and Jacob and Sophia below
Below-my Dad-with Andrew and on his right, and son#2, the pilot
on HIS left---taken on Daytona Beach many years ago--

above---  Fred babysitting one of the kids
Time to get off of here--to get on with our day--I hope that your day will be fabulous--remember to move forward, not backward, do what matters most, most of the time, trust your instincts, and never look back--Now go on, get off of here--Beware of how special you are--and smile--and the world just might smile with you-

  1. Morning Lynda,
What a good picture of all the ladies. Looks like a nice group. Do you have regular get togethers ? I am glad you are getting out and enjoying yourself. It's good for the mind and the soul. I need to take my own advice and get out more. lol.
It's going to be a sunny, warm day here so I am going to enjoy it because they are predicting rain later in the week.

    Have a terrific Tuesday!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  2. Loved the picture of your Women's Circe. So glad that you are part of this group. Being a widow severely limits our social life if we don't pursue activities that put us with other people! I kind of over-extended myself in this area and am now pulling back from several of the activities that I had joined. I am in 3 book clubs, 2 luncheon groups with retired educators, 2 different church groups that go to lunch or supper together, and finally a monthly senior citizens group in my town that meets every month for a meeting and lunch and takes trips to concerts, and different venues like Nashville and Branson. Actually, next year we will be visiting Mackinaw Island and the your side of Niagara Falls! Oh, I have also travelled with my church group to Rome and then on a Viking River cruise of the Rhine River and we are headed to Croatia and Italy this coming September! Whew! So now you see why I am cutting back a bit, by skipping a couple of luncheons and book club meetings.....especially for the summer as the yard work and pool and just cleaning house keep me really busy - not to mention taking care of my two spoiled cats - who keep me company!

  4. Surrounded by people who care about you. That is how I picture you... and yes, I spotted you in the group, too. Ever notice that the people we meet online are pretty much the same when we meet them in person?

I found that to be true of all the Spark people I met over the years. I miss that site, but I'm glad I have a handful of folks from it that I keep in touch with in other ways.

Hope you have a good week, full of the love that never leaves us! That photo of Fred and the baby really shows off what a loving man he was.

  7. It only took a moment to find you! Thus far I haven't found a group like that, but there is my computer group, of which I'm one of the longest members - but the club was started 6yrs before I arrived in the country! Unfortunately the computer club is disbanding, but will continue as more of a social club, so... that could be nice! I have someone who comes and helps me with cleaning stuff as well as taking me places. She's a godsend with an Irish accent and temperament. ❤️

  9. It's Kathy. What a nice photo of your Women's Group. I'm glad you found this group. It's nice to have other women to get together with now and then. I love my Bible Study group of women. Love all the photos today. Yes, we must be strong but sometimes that feels so hard. I'm off to my Pilates class shortly. Rain and maybe storms are coming after lunchtime. Have a wonderful day.

  10. Hi Lynda, what a lovely photo of your Women's Group, and yes, I spotted you before you said where you were located. I'm glad that you've found this group. It's nice to be part of a group of women that have lost their spouses because there's mutual understanding. We're about to have a heat wave. There's terrible heat in Europe and there have been some deaths in France. Enjoy your day.
