Woke up to no power--We have the power now!

To-day is Friday, June the 12th--We have had no power since the middle of the night--It is on now--but Son #2, who just called me, told me I had to press button on back of computer to get computer to start--Lordy Be! What would we ever do without these kids?--He said to me that he has the same computer as I do so he is used to this computer--Bless his heart eh??--

I shall run upstairs and turn off the AC-It is freezing in here--Lopez is up--fed--Sushi up--fed then back to bed--AC turned off--Wash is done--in dryer--I took my blood pressure as directed by my Dr---so--the day has begun---Question here--  Anyone else without power this AM??--

So, Wise Words of Wisdom--which I wish I had written--

#1.Do not sell yourself short.

#2.Do not ask for trouble

#3.Rise above little things

#4.Don't worry about what other people re thinking about you.

                    And now-Blasts from the Past

Just look at the above picture--It looks like Ethan, as a baby -

Do you suppose Fred was babysitting him?

Above-Looks like Fred was 91--How we enjoyed  all his Birthdays~

                        and we enjoyed Charlee's Birthdays

They must've been at a swim meet--Hannah with Ethan and Andie

                                        and another Birthday above

must've been summer--at a B@B

a lot of cousins-Charlee in the middle

Time that we all get on with our day--I hope that you understand,  it's alright to let yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back--so, go on--get off of here--allow yourself to make mistakes to-day--never give up on what you really want to do---So-go on---Get off of here!

  1. Happy Friday!
Glad to hear your power is back on.
We had storms roll through our area last night and are there are communities without power. Luckily, it wasn't ours. Hopefully, the rain is done for a few days. The sun is coming out today. Yay!
That was sweet of Matt to help you get your computer going. My hubby works in IT so whenever I have a computer issue, he can fix it.

I noticed in your reply to me yesterday, you had lunch with a group of ladies. Well that sounds like a nice get together. Will you be doing this regularly? That would be good, so you won't have to spend so much time alone.

I have a Dr. appointment this morning. Then I will get a workout in and hopefully I will be done with stuff, other than dinner, for the day. I can hope anyway.

    Have a fabulous Friday!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  4. I used to be "IT support" for the family, then I "got old" and now my son does that job, keeping up on all the fancy new controls that allow parents to control their kiddos' use of tech! Thank goodness for the upcoming generations!

Thank goodness, too, that your power outage is over and done (for now). We had a big stormy weather front come through yesterday (Thursday) morning, and it took down a whole lot of tree branches in the neighborhood, but thank goodness did not take our power. This morning (Friday), Ember and I went walking and found that most folks had their branches all nicely stacked to be hauled off.

Hope you have a good weekend ahead!

  5. It's Kathy. We had rain all day yesterday, finally the sun came out about 7 pm. It's cool here too. I left some windows open overnight but had to close them this morning. I want to get outside to get some of that work done. That's next on my list. Some people in the city lost power with the storms that went through Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Some trees came down too. We were lucky! Tom is recovering - able to eat a bit more now, but still feeling pain. I think it's healing and that's what's causing him the pain right now. So it will be another quiet day for us and I'm okay with that. Love that first picture of Fred with little Ethan. Have a good day.
