It Doesn't Get Easier, You Get Stronger!

and the above is SO so right---

Yesterday was fabulous---  My cousin and her sister and her sister's family drove  to Lakefield to see me --have lunch with me--and then we all drove to son#2's Lake House. -It was a very hot day, so we all enjoyed the cool breezes from the lake , while sitting on his deck--

Here we all are on the deck--

A little over 2 weeks and I can move to Elliot Lake--I never thought that I could make the wait-- BUT I HAVE! ---  (without going completely crazy!)--It sure has been a VERY VERY long wait!!--so, we leave here on the 24th-- The movers will be here after the move!--I must remain sane , until this is over--Lordy Be!!!!  ----------  Below, is Lola (remember her?--Son#3's Chihuahua-)-with Lopez----

----

and, of course, a "blast from the past"---    Himself in the back, I guess picking up Emma from dance--with Julie her Mom, beside Emma-- Emma is now in her 2nd yr of University--  How time flies eh??-- And look how proud my Himself is? He absolutely adored each Grandchild!--

I have been packing---  wrapping --- and discontinuing stuff--to reorder it up in Elliot--This afternoon I hope to wrap some pictures.  The picture below is me---well, not really, but it could be--

I had to post my favourite cartoon-- ever--It reminds me of the waiting room at a Drs office--- and what every Dr wishes how a nurse might clear out the waiting room.

So be strong--Never give up!-------WE CAN do whatever we make our minds to do---

There are days that we would all enjoy living in a "fantasy World"--where everything does make perfect sense!  (As if that ever happens eh?)---

No matter what comes your way to-day, try to remain strong---  believe in yourself---There are so many benefits of "age--ing"---- We have been pretty much in every situation , and we know how to handle EVERY THING--don't we???---AND-----even with a smile on our face!
                                                                     just remember

May there be Peace in our Hearts!

Always believe in yourself---
Yes, I try to do that, but there are times, I wonder if I can really do something--
Usually if I try to do something new, it does work out--
I never thought I could sit here in a new city for so long when I had to wait for the townhouse--and now there are only a bit over 2 weeks to go--so, I have almost made it--
Always believe in yourself--
Today  Himself's niece and relatives  are driving over from Toronto, and we will have lunch out, and then drive to Son#2's home on the lake--They can follow Lopez and I, in my car---and it will be cooler and they can enjoy a few hours on the shores of Stoney Lake. I think it will be a lovely change for them!

I shall ty to take a few pictures for you all to see.

I am trying very hard  to not "lose my mind" while sitting here, waiting for the move!
I have been waiting about 5 mos., to move--  You see, the previous people were not moving out  until now--Looking back, I never thought I'd last this long without "losing my mind""--    Dad used to say, It's all about "Mind over Matter""--and he was right!
I have met some very nice people while here--friendly people-- but, "my kind of crazy people" seem to be  where I want to move back to--- I guess one becomes  "your kind of crazy" the longer we know them!
Hopefully you are feeling strong to-day---
I shall say a wee prayer that you do feel that way--

Believe in Yourself!

"YOU" are Truly Amazing--There is no-one in the world, the same as "YOU"!

We have sunshine- this AM--  not as hot--but it probably will be hot----  in time!

Yesterday , as I was laying on the sofa, the phone rang and it was son#2, asking me if I wanted to drive out to their "Lake house"-- --  I thought about it and decided, "Why Not"--It's good practice to use that "WAZE" AP--  on my phone---so, I packed Lopez  up, and the 2 of us took off--to "Stoney Lake". It was a good decision--Son#2  took us out in their boat and showed us the lake--and it is a very large inland lake--very different from our Northern Lakes---but very nice.We stayed the afternoon, then hooked up the WAZE AP, and headed back to Lakefield.----After stopping at McDonalds for something for supper, we made it home--

And that is another thing--  People who live alone, have a terrible unhealthy diet--You see, they do not cook too much , as there is only "them"--plus, I find  that I throw a great deal of food out--I do not know how to cook for one person---  plus, I eat alone---  which is not the best, to enjoying a meal--Sometimes I look at what I had planned to eat and just get up and throw it all away--

Bewildered---Unclear---  Perplexed --confused---I feel, people need people , near---  when trying to devour a meal---I do need to speak life into my days---like it says below---  Perhaps this eating alone will become more normal as time passes--

So--a few "Blasts from the past" here--

Myself---  holding Miss Sophia,------  who is now heading  off to University--
=-with her Mother--Miss Sophia has grown--
and Miss Sophia, with her Dad!--and , yes, that is a rice cooker on her head!

So, I hope that to-day is going well for you---  if not--well, you know--  make it go well--

Ice Cream just might improve your day---

Smile----  and best of all--- Believe in Yourself---Be Positive---  because "you" almost  can do everything--

Good Morning Beautiful World!

Well, I had to post the above--Sorry about the language--  but--  I get a great deal of advice handed out to me by my family----  Kids know everything!--Well, at least they think they do??--LOL-----I just listen and try not to comment, because I know I will do whatever I think I should-- At least it shows that they care doesn't it??

We have sun---mild temps-- AND--I am heading to the hairdresser---  justa "wash and set"-so I will not be long--  The AC is flying--AGAIN---- I guess it will be another very hot day--and the piano tuner will be here to wrap the piano with love-----(Pianos do not like to be moved!)-

To-day is---July4th---- Mom used to say, "the glorious 4th" -It must be a holiday in the U.S.--and--

Yes, to-day IS going  to rock!! Lets repeat that several times so-- make it rock!

Below---a couple of "blasts" from the past--

ABOVE----son#2 with Fred on one side of the table
Son#2 and Himself--- It's all about Food!!--

You can be strong--  Enjoy your July 4th , to all in the U.S,---even to everyone in Canada--

Be kind to People!

Good morning--It looks like a dark day out there--with rain in the forecast-- Lopez and I have not been out yet-- It seems to be getting darker and darker--so--me thinks rain is  coming--like soon--!

So--Yesterday, my cousin and his wife, came to pick me up, and they drove us to Belmont lake--It took an hour and a half to get there---  way longer trip than I remember-- --When we got there, another  cousin and his wife were there--I should've taken pictures of us all--I don't know why I didn't. Son#2 had Lopez with him as well as his own dog, Gerrard--here they are in Son#2's vehicle--So nice of him to keep Lopez for the day.

So, that is the end of my  visiting  around-- back to business --packing boxes etc--getting ready for the move--

Do something everyday that makes you feel like a kid again--AND----take your friends along--  How long since you have made sand castles on a beach?--Remember how the waves would   wash up and the sand castles would cave in? And we would all yell. "OH NO--oo--oo."

So, are "YOU" happy to-day??--Let go of what you cannot change-------- great advice for sure!

One blast from the past---It is of Himself, on one of our trips to Nova Scotia--I remember that day very well---

We have sunshine---mild weather--no more trips planned to see family members living in the area--I must focus on the move only now--The piano tuner will be here soon to pack the piano for ANOTHER move--- --the poor Piano eh??--I promised it that this will be "the final" move--Pianos do not do well in a move!

Enjoy  to-day
and--Be kind to People!

Keep your Chin Up!

"You" are so special---  important  also, in your part of this world!---No-one tells us this, but, look back at all the ways you are making a difference--in your family---in your community---and----  in others lives---your children's lives, your parent's day, your pets life, your Grandparents  daily schedule--

-If you were not here, their lives would not be the same, for sure! They all influence you----guide "you" in many ways--Remember my Dad, always telling me to, "Keep my chin up"-?---What he really was saying to me, was, "that I could do anything as long as I believed I could-

-AND TRIED--the "trying", I knew was important---You see, I used to cry a lot--I remember my Grandfather telling my Mom, "There she goes again "Ila"-who was my Mom!--as the tears rolled out of my eyes, and down my cheeks, -  for different reasons--(I guess I was a cry baby!--LOL)

My cousin and wife will be here shortly, and we are going out for lunch, then going to visit my other cousin's cottage.-Oh-I must show you a picture of my Grandfather Wallace--who I thought was the "best-est" person in the whole wide world! Here he is, holding my oldest brother.
a real "Blast from the past!"----

above here--   3 little girls at a wedding

                                                                Himself, in Hawaii

So, stop hurrying hither tither and yon--Relax-- Carry on--Keep your chin up, and be kind to  people you meet to-day---If you do not quite do everything your little heart desires to-day, did you ever think that you were meant to just calm down and relax----

                                                            So-Trust your hunches---

Happy Canada Day!

Good morning on this hot, muggy , buggy , overcast day!--Lopez and I (and Sushi) are up and at-er here!  Lopez has already been out AND HE DID HIS BUSINESS!---It is garbage day here--but--It is CANADA DAY ALSO--  A HOLIDAY TO CELEBRATE CANADA---probably most business are closed--with many celebrations on Parliament Hill to-day.--  Canada is 158 yrs old--

I found out yesterday that Himself and I were married 58 years ----It certainly did not seem that long-- In fact, it wasn't long enough!--- We used to always go to the end of Elliot Lake, along the highway  there, and watch the fireworks-- I remember the black flies trying to get into our vehicle---  and I also remember how frightened the German Shepherds were with all the noise of the fireworks-I had a "thunder shirt" which I used to wrap some of them in--- The shirt was supposed to calm the dog, but it really did not--always so many memories as we age, aren't there?--

Speaking of memories, I found a picture of Himself--taken before I even knew him--thought it would be good to show you how he appeared before we had 1005 children ---(well really not that many!)--
                                                                    -pretty spiffy eh??

I am packing some boxes-- things I will not need right now---  but--the problem is, the more boxes I do pack and tape shut, the less room there is in this apartment.--- Only 3 weeks and I shall be out of here---

Here are a few pictures-- "blasting in  from the past"
Grandchildren--all in University now--

Is your day going well, so far??
Don't forget to wear some clothing when you go out---
-and be strong--

It is Sunday, it is Canada Day-and a day to feel strong---
and---enjoy this day! It will never come again!
