Good morning--so hot here this AM outside!--I tried to comment on your comments on yesterdays blog, and it will not allow me to comment on the last 2 comment-ers--VERY FRUSTRATING!--I shall keep trying--- (I am not responding well!!!)--- Is it my computer or--what is wrong with this "Blogger" site?
I have had to change where the new IMAC will be shipped to, as I will not be here after the 24th--- so it is being shipped to Elliot Lake , to Son#3's home.
Last night, I went with Son#3 and his wife, to a Jazz concert in the park-- I think the whole of Lakefield was there. The music was live--and great---the food was great--I think the whole of Lakefield was there--and they are ALL seniors--and they were dancing and singing--Whatta great Festival!-I finally had to leave however as I began to cry and I could not stop----I guess just watching all the people dancing and singing--and I missed my husband--He would've loved the music!
--so-a few "blasts from the past"-----Starring----TAAAAAaa Daaaaha "HIMSELF""!!
Ohhhhh man! I really do miss him!~
He had a good long life however-- I must remember that--
The middle picture is Himself , with "Biggy", a cat I found on the Dumpster, on the highway, in the middle of a very cold winter--We adopted "Biggy" and he was a wonderful cat!
The first picture was us, at Son#3's graduation into being a Policeman.
It is EXTREMELY hot here AGAIN to-day----
Stay in the cool house if you can-- Remember that you are absolutely the very best person in the whole wide world!
Just BE HAPPY!
Today will be a Perfect Day!
Wonderful blog, sis, as always.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, too. Always love seeing Himself. And Biggie? Beautiful.
It's 80F here with a mostly blue sky. It's supposed to cool down Wednesday.
I have already done several chores that were on my list. More to go still. Trying to be quiet, though, 'til Lucky wakes up.
Residents and guests are playing bingo in the Community Room. I haven't returned since I broke my hip. And I would miss JoAnne being there sitting next to me. I socialized last night at karaoke for a couple hours. That's enough for me.
You will love your new Mac...I am sure. I had an old Mac Performa years ago and loved it. They were one piece: computer and keyboard.
The concert sounds wonderful. We have concerts in a park or two here, also. Jazz and Country are the most popular.
No exciting new for me. I'll check back here later to see if you were able to do comments. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie--- Hopefully this publishes- was a VERY VERY hot day today--here today--I already commented earlier but it would not publish--Lets hope this does--Lynda
DeleteHoly cow--It did!
DeleteHi Lynda, thanks for your post. It's always positive and uplifting.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing pictures of himself.
Biggy was a big guy.
Good idea to have MAC sent to a sons house.
We have concerts in the park here every Tuesday. Yes, most of the town of 90000 shows up. Sounds like you enjoyed it. Matt is incredibly kind. You are going to miss him. I do hope the EL sons are around more than they were before.
Still crazy hot in St.Louis
Hugs and blessings
Marge/St.Louis
Hi Lynda: I agree with Marge above about Matt being kind and how you will miss him and hoping your other sons are more attentive this time. Very hot here today too. Supposed to be hot all week. I'll have to get that Waze app. Sounds really good. Have a good night. Brenda
ReplyDeleteIt's Kathy. I almost forgot to check your blog today! Where's my head anyway? I'm glad you got out with Son #3 and his wife to the jazz concert. It's good for you to be among people, especially family, and even though you cried because you miss himself so much you also enjoyed yourself! And remember that he loved you so much that he would not want you to be unhappy forever. I'm sure once you're back in Elliott Lake you will begin to feel more like yourself and perhaps the memories will bring a smile to your face rather than tears! I've probably said it before, but I still tear up when I think about my dad. He was my champion. We're counting down the days now!
