Everyday can be Joyful--

Good Morning--Wednesday, April the 8th--overcast--NOT SNOWING--almost 7-30am--The washer is chugging away here and Lopez, Sushi, and I, are up--not too much "at-er"--but--- we are trying-                                    -trying to do hard things--

It is not raining-- nor snowing--yet----(hope  it doesn't)-but overcast-

Yesterday I tried to get an appointment with my Doctor-I was told I could get in to see him, in June--3 months away-- seems like a long time to wait--I asked Son#3 what people do if it is an emergency-- (which it is not)-but--what if it was?-

-He replied, "Well, people go to Emerg at the hospital---- Life sure isn't the way it used to be , is it??--  Really, nothing is the same as it "used to be"--I guess the key is, "STAY HEALTHY", so one does not need to see a Doctor--I wonder--Is it the same in your part of the world??--Is there a Doctor shortage?

So many wise words  that I wish I had written-

                                    -#1. Exercise instead of worry

#2.Clearly assess your strengths and weaknesses

                                    #3.Offer hope, always

                                        Blasts from the past--below---

                            Son#2 ----probably in England

Allison and her 2 children bellow

Fred with son#1 and   son#4 below
                                Charlee, son#1's daughter
I hope that your day is special--  I hope that you make it that way! Life is what you make it----love the one you're with--Kiss and make up--Keep breathing-- Try to find joy in ever
yday--and-----

  1. Morning Lynda,
Crossing my fingers for you that you don't have to deal with snow or rain today.
We have sunny skies and temperatures to reach mid 60's F today. I think it's going to get warmer as the week goes on.
I understand your frustration about the Dr. situation. It's not too bad to get in to see a general practitioner, family Dr., etc. but it you need to see a specialist that's another story. It usually takes a few months or more to get into see them and that is frustrating.

I hope your day goes well!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  2. Good morning, sis. Today I will remember to click "publish.." Didn't do that yesterday and didn't realize it 'til I clicked to read any reply just before bed! You didn't even see my comment!

We have hazy sun here. It's already 47F. Not quite spring temps.

Love the blasts, as always. You have so many precious memories! Actually, I do, too.

Lynda, June is only 2 months away...not 3. The time will fly by! Did you make the appointment?

I have lots of appointments at the Veteran Hospital. Friday I have an appointment on line to see my physical therapist. Love your comment about exercising. Another old saying is...Use it or Loose it!

We have a meeting at noon to show everyone how to complete the 'satisfaction survey' about how we like living here in thie subsidized senior building. Hope the presenters bring lunch! ;-)

I have not heard about any doctor shortage, but I have heard nurses are really needed.

I'll be back later, dear. Please make yourself a great day. I'm sending photos and link to your email. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. June? Really? I was fretting over the month and a half I had to wait for my next test (end of this month). Sigh. It's the system, not us as individuals.

  4. Good morning, Lynda! It is high 59 and sunny in Ohio. I will do lots of yard work this afternoon. Yes, we can do hard things! AND everything is figure-outable! We have doctors in Ohio BUT in my tiny cornfield town they are not very good! So, for big things I go to Cleveland Clinic the next town over only 30 minutes away. I switched my primary doctor after 6 years in October and he is worse and was very rude! So, I know what you mean! It is just frustrating! I hope you have a beautiful day! Come home with Allison in July! Or before! Your ice cream is waiting. Hugs!

  5. It's Kathy. Yes, I think it's the same, at least here in the USA. I see my Primary Care doctor once a year and I usually make that appointment about 4 months ahead of time so I can choose what day I want to go. Same with the eye doctor and my back surgeon. If I'm ill, I might be able to see my own doctor within a week or two but usually we have to go to Urgent Care which is less expensive than the Emergency Room. But it's very frustrating, isn't it! We have a warm day today but it's pretty cloudy and we might get rain later this afternoon. Have a good day!

  6. Hi Lynda, glad to hear there is no snow falling in your area. Hopefully Spring time temps are right around the corner for you. Sometimes there is a wait time to see Specialist Doctors in California. Here we also have phone appts and Zoom appts with doctors. I've done phone appts. before, but I don't like the idea of Zoom appts. I think many doctors choose specialities because it pays more. Thanks for sharing family photos once again. Did Ethan say that he wants your piano? Enjoy you snow free day. Maybe Dave will pick you up today to go out for a meal.

  7. Hi Lynda,
Are you still trying to get Dr. to redo memory test so you can drive? Make the appointment.
If there are no Dr's in Lakefield, what do you do? If you get your license restored will you still move back to Lakefield.
I like the words of wisdom.
    Hugs

  8. Most doctors in the states no longer
have private practices and are working for big conglomerates that are driven by profit. It can take months to get in to see a specialist, but sometimes you get on a waitlist and get in sooner. In my town, there are still some same day appointments available with a primary care physician. I have found that most of the time I can get in to see most doctors fairly quickly.
Hoping you are done with snowfall. We are so dry here, I would be thrilled to see snow or rain. Susan in Colorado
