  5. Morning Lynda,
I am glad to hear you passed your memory test. Now, you don't have to worry about that anymore.
Good to hear the snow has stopped, but sorry about the rain. I would much rather have snow than rain. It's prettier and less muddy. : -)
It's warm here, been in the low 80's the last few days. But, it's going to cool off on Sunday, back to the 50's.

Have a good day no matter the weather.
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  8. Good morning Lynda, you sound very cheery this morning, perhaps because you passed the memory test yesterday and can drive again. I'm glad that all of that is behind you and you can enjoy some peace of mind. I do hope that Spring has sprung where you live. Will you be able to see when the geese fly over like you did when you lived on the lake? Maybe now that you can drive, you and Dave can get back to your routine of having meals together. Enjoy the remainder of your day.

  9. It's Kathy. Yes, I believe we are older longer than we are younger - and I'm not sure if that's a good thing! Some days I feel like I'm older than old! Today in the mail we got an invitation from a funeral home to have lunch with them and learn about what they offer. That's a first for me! While I don't like thinking about that, I do remember when my parents pre-paid for their funerals and that made things a whole lot easier when it happened. They both died from a stroke - very suddenly! Well, on a happier note - I'm glad you're seeing signs of Spring. It's a beautiful day here today, in the 70's by this afternoon. Daisy and I will get in another short walk. I have to work up to my regular walking path but it's so nice to be able to walk even a short distance. Today is my stay-at-home-all-day day and Daisy is happy about that. I hope you have a good day!

    1. I remember when my mom was older and belonged to a senior center - they took tours of places, assisted living places offered them to come for lunch, and they went to funeral homes, too, I believe. Always a plus to be prepared ahead of time. It's not morbid - it's a necessity! Mom had hers prepaid, my husband, and my cousin treated me to a prepaid niche outside here in Newark, it's very lovely, I even went and posed next to it. Now no one has to worry about me, as I am the last of my family.

On a lighter note - wouldn't it be great if we could age backwards? Start out old, and progressively get younger? I would love that! :)

  11. Hello, sis. I am back!

Great photos. Who are the man and lady in the background with all those wonderful grandchildren?

BMX biking was a very popular sport for quite awhile.

I went back to bed for a nap very early. NOW I am ready to get ater ;-)

About to go to the UPS store to do an Amazon return. While I was sleeping, 'Becca said she wanted me to take her somewhere. I let her know I could after that nap, but she hasn't answered yet.

Today will kinda be a relax and do not too much today. I overdid it yesterday with everything (floors, vacuuming, etc), by the evening I was really feeling sore. I know the physical therapy is helping, but I think I overdid those exercises, too. SIGH

You have such an attractive (and very dear to you) family. We are so blessed, aren't we?

Will check back again this evening, Lynda {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie.

  12. LOVE the blasts from the past. Yes, around here, the mornings are just non-stop: Jason up and prepped for the day, Miss Lilly out for her potty break, then breakfast, do dishes, laundry, prep for supper. The list goes on. But, best to keep moving.

    hugs and blessings

  13. My day - up at 7:30 or so, work at 9:30, just 3 minutes from where I live, and got to leave early, at 12:30. Doc appt at 1:00 - found out that the pain I'm having in my left lower back and behind and into my leg is sciatica - must have hurt it at work lifting heavy typewriters and sewing machines. Went to the hospital to get x-rays, since I wanted proof, and then had to drop my car off to get an oil change. Home at 5. Tired.
