We are all unique-

Good morning on this day---Saturday,   May the 2nd--2026--Yes I have returned--with good news --I think it is good news--seems pretty fresh outside--- (--I just got up here- cold!!!!)---  and I took my blood pressure -which seems a tad too high----I see that Son#2 is en route to Scotland--- interesting---I do not think he has ever been to Scotland before--  his relatives are all there--as, my DAD was a  "Wallace"---We used to say, something like, "Scots we  had, we Wallace bled"---

above pics from Son#2 the Pilot
Every single person in this world is a unique individualI --Did you ever think of that?--Amazing!!!-
-So---I hear the dryer- whirling around----Lopez and  I  are up---and I can now feel the heat--feels good-
So, you must  be wondering why I was not here yesterday--It was because I am going to travel back to "LakeField", close to where Fred and I used to live, and try out  what life would be like, living in "The Regency"--a home for Seniors with all the amenities--meals in a dining room with other Seniors-- a suite of your own,  exercise programs, various trips shopping etc--As you have guessed,--expensive--but, I would not be as lonely as I feel here.-I am heading there to try it out for a few days---sorta soon---Son#2 will come for Lopez and I, and poor Sushi will be left here for Son#4 to feed--I will let you know when all this is about to happen. Will I like it better than here?--I do not know till I try it-I do love my little town house here---- Maybe it will be like that "Hokey Pokey " clinic--and then I really CAN turn my life around--

Who knows till we try something eh??

-I snuck a couple of parents in the photo below---Can you find them?
The rest are all there----Can you name them??
Let me see--left to rt--????, Helena, Andie--behind her Hannah--ava, parent, Emma, Jacob, and Ethan

I must get moving--Remember --"be your own best friend,"---and then yu will never be lonely--"Do not be ashamed to fail "-- Being totally alone at times can be very healthy---and happy is the person with a hobby---and, ---if you live fearing death, then you do not really live!
So, get out there and face this day---and enjoy what you have to do--(sez me)--LOLOL

  1. Good morning Lynda, well I guess that's the best way to find out if you like living amongst other people. Better than just moving in and discovering it's not for you. Good luck.

  2. Good morning, sis.

Yes, we did miss you. I figured you were doing something important.

Love the blasts. Yes, I can see a couple parents amongst all those kids!

I have been thinking about assisted living (what we call that kind of home), too. We'll see. Here you can get support to help pay for it if you're low income.

    Love the words of wisdom.

I am 90% from the British Isles...Ireland, Scotland and Ireland. I love that symbol. I always decorate for St Patrick's day and tell people, "Top o' the morning to ya."

I have chores today, as always and it's cold, too. They have turned our boilers (we have hot water heat) off for the season. I watched tv last night with lots of clothes on (including a jacket and hat). It's spring outside, but the temp doesn't show it yet. And that wind is so cold!

I hope you like the facility you're visiting. You would have less stress. Can Lopez and Sushi come with you? {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. RD in AZ here
I am quite surprised that Elliot Lake does not have the same type of place that you are looking into then you could stay in Elliot Lake and have people near by and all the other good things that go with the community that you are looking at

  4. Morning Lynda,
How cool for Son#2 to fly to Scotland. That is on my bucket list to visit. I would love to go there and Ireland too. Well, maybe one of these days.
Wow, you might have another big move in your future. It's good that it's a "try it before you buy it" kind of situation. It might be a good place for you to go and have some social company. I also saw where you told Maggie you can take Lopez and Sushi which is wonderful. I would hate for you to have to rehome them.
    Keep us posted!

    Have a beautiful day!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  5. I never thought of that, trying it out. That is a GREAT idea! If people were more my age and not geriatric/have dementia, I too would move into such a place if I could afford it. On weekends, I sure do get mighty lonely here, hardly ever see a soul! It'd be great to go do daily exercises together and meals and activities.

  6. Hi Lynda, It's really great that you can try it out for awhile before you make a commitment. I always enjoy seeing the pictures of the family Have a great May weekend. I see the King is visiting Canada. Maybe he'll visit nearby. Donna_cps2 IL

  7. Hi Lynda! It is 43 in OH with a freeze warning. I missed you yesterday. I know you are busy. I love that you can “try before you buy” the suite! A great way to make the best decision. Happy Saturday! Hugs!
