Yesterday is but today's memory, and tomorrow is today's dream.
Khalil Gibran
OK_-Now where do "you" live??--AND--Where do they live? Sounds like they live a very long way away--Am I right?--Hard to pay for travel when one is "older than old"-----To-morrow is to-day's dream--awwww-so nice--Thank yu-- Lynda-- PS-- and I will pray that those kids of yers pay for yu to fly to where ever they live-- Let me know if it happens-- Big hugs--Be strong (I know yu are!)-=-Lynda
DeleteMorning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteSeems like everyone is getting rain lately. We had a little rain overnight but I think it's done at least for the day. It's warm right now, 74F at 8:20 AM and it's supposed to hit 90F. But the humidity will make it feel like 96F. It's already pretty steamy out now.
Luckily, I have plenty to do inside in the A/C to keep me busy for the day.
I really enjoyed your Words I Wish I Had Written today- some really good things to think about.
Family pics were sweet as always.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Hugs,
Jackie
Hi Jackie-- Fun to write the words of wisdom-- Yu really are going to get a mega hot day----The AC helps so much-I hope you do have a great day!-Lynda
Deletequite hot outside here now--I am surprised--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! Happy Wednesday! High 88 today and tomorrow in Ohio. My granddaughter has a softball game this evening. It may be too hot. Plus, it is an hour and a half away and even though my husband will drive, I have travel anxiety too far from home. It is quite annoying. I never used to be that way. Ice cream weather, for sure! Anyways, I hope you are having a lovely day. Stay dry and cool. Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank yu for the hugs--mega hot here also--Travel Anxiety--?--I never heard it called that--sounds so much better than "a nervous wreck"--LOL--very hot here outside-- The AC helps inside--(which I turned off in the night)--crazy me as I am paying for that this AM--I hope you get to see the Grand daughter's game--LOL-- but--I sure understand if yu do not--LOL--Lynda
DeleteOMG-- It is mega hot outside here also--=At the North Pole-where we live--LOL----Anyway--enjoy the trip--if yu get to go--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis. It's partly sunny here and the temp is 75...going to 81F. There's a high chance of severe storms this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteMy little bedroom A/C is installed and works great! One of my 'adopted' local daughters came yesterday to it.
Today it's laundry, garbage and recycling, too.
Love the blasts! Such a large, lovely family! Especially like the one of you and Allison!
I will get to it. Please have a wonderful day. We will all remember your words of wisdom. {{{HUGS}}} to you, too. Love, Maggie
Oh Maggie--rainy here--buggy too--I am trying o plant cedars etc but the bugs love me--hot outside too---yes 5 kids-- Fred was so good to them all--They seemed to go o school forever--but I guess it paid off- They all have good jobs-I believe we may get storms also this afternoon-- ya gotta love that AC eh??--=Hugs, Lynda
Deletehot hot hot outside--and muggy-- Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, I guess with a window A/C it's impossible to set it at a certain temperature and just leave it. I have central air, which takes care of my entire house and I set it at 78 degrees and leave it at that. I would prefer it to be lower, but electricity is very, very expensive and I don't want to be responsible for a "black out", which means an area loses electricity. Many older people only have fans, so cities open up what they call "cooling centers", like at public libraries, and people can go and spend the day there. If you get rain, it will be great for your newly sown grass seed, but heat and moisture leads to humidity, which makes for an uncomfortable feeling. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Maureen--It is you!!-from California--where they kidnap Grarmmas--or near there--Yes I set the AC at 18 Celcius which keeps it cool on he main level also---- I am planting tne rear garden to-day--I hope!--Lynda
Deletemuggy here--misty-- and buggy--Lynda
DeleteI hope the weather doesn't interfere with your plan to work in the garden. When you said they kidnap Grammas, do you mean the immigration enforcement called ICE? Yes, ICE is made up of a bunch of outlaws, and they kidnap children too.
DeleteHugs to you today too! Hot and muggy here also....high humidity! Got in the pool for the first time this summer - temperature of water is 90 degrees - so I am not going to drag the solar cover on it anymore this summer. It is hard for me to do by myself...but the water was so cold on Memorial Day that the Grandkids did not want to stay in it - jumped in and then right back out! Now the nights will be warmer so I can spread the cover out and wash it off - fold it and put it away! Yay! I will be mowing for several hours this afternoon so I am pretty sure I will be getting back in the pool today! And I am soooo very happy that you are reading the book I sent you! It helped me so much after my hubby died. I think I read it over and over again for 2 years! Love you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI am doing the same--reading your books over and over--it's like I need to hear how to heal--I guess I do-- I cannot imagine little you spreading that cover onto the pool--must be hard---So you will be mowing--no rest eh for us??----lots to do--I was planting shrubs along the fence in the back garden, this am,--my handy ,man, il, has company so I was quite sure he would not turn up--Good thing se are strong eh?-- So so good to hear from yu--Thank-yu--Lynda
DeleteIt is so hot here to-day=-Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Today is starting out to be a better day, thank goodness! We had storms overnight and they are predicting more storms by this afternoon or early evening. We have not gotten the car fixed yet - Tom did have it running yesterday by charging the battery but it's dead again now. We need to buy a battery but he wants his mouth to heal a bit more before he strains himself carrying a heavy battery. We have no where to go so it can wait till maybe next week. Yes, all this dental work is worrying me. No, they won't take payments AND they add 3% when you put it on a credit card. But it doesn't all have to be done right away. The surgery and his dental visit yesterday will be paid before they do the next thing. And hopefully they can finish up in early 2027 when our insurance resets. One day at a time! Tom drove me to Pilates this morning and will drive me to my bible study tonight - and I'm god with that! Have a wonderful day. Thanks for sharing your beautiful grandchildren with us!
ReplyDeleteAww Kathy--Whatta lovely message from yu--Your poor hubby with all his dental work--so expensive too--but--he will look great as it all heels-- I had to have dental implants done--way back when--They cost is so much--but you know, well worth it now----It is such a lovely day here today--sunny and warm-==-but--buggy---- Hugs Kathy-- Lynda
