So, are you happy --and you know it?--and if you are, clap your hands-                        -Remember that little verse?

"If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands?

If you're happy and you know it , clap your hands?

If you're happy and you know it, then your face is going to show it

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands."

Funny what we learn as kids--Anyway, lots going on here, so I best get on with the day-

            -Below, words I wish I had written--below--
                #1. Forgive your friends

                #2.Seek respect

                #3.Let others have the glory

#4.To live a full life, you cannot live it half dead.

                                And--Blasts from the Past

Above, Fred on the back deck

                                above--lots of bare feet

I do love this picture--left to rt-    Fred and I, Juli , Phil, Emma and Ava--Andie, Lisa, Andrew, Ethan, Tim and Heather

  2. Morning Lynda,
I love your positive quote at the beginning of your blog and it's so true. Good things happen when you least expect it.

We had a pretty big storm come through last night. We were under a tornado warning and the tornado sirens were going off. Luckily, we didn't have a tornado, just lots of heavy rain. Some areas around us had wind damage ( over 80 miles an hour winds) with trees and power outages. There were some areas that had flooding with over 5 inches of rain falling in just a few hours.
It was a restless night for me so I shouldn't have any trouble falling asleep tonight.
Sounds like you need the rain for your grass but I hope you can get Lopez out without getting wet.

Love all the family pictures. The one of Emma and Ava is too cute!

    Have a fabulous Day!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  3. Good morning, sis! It is a good day. Partly cloudy here and only in the 60sF it will get to lower 70s. I reat on the national weather site that it will be a cooler summer this year.

Our elevator was out of order most of yesterday, but today it is (magically) fixed! Ususally the elevator company has several ahead of us that need repair so we have to wait days. I just set my gabage bag and the recycle one outside my door and someone took it out for me! Probably the nice man across the hall for me.

I am going to place an online grocery order to pick up now. Otherwise, I'll get mor laundry done, too.

We DO make it a good day by our thoughts and what we focus on. Let's do it! Be back later, Lynda. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  4. Good morning Lynda and hugs to you too. I have 2 favorite photos today. The first is the family photo with Fred in the maroon sweater and you behind him. The second one is of Emma and Ava sitting on the stair step. They are really beautiful girls. Rain will be beneficial for your lawn and whatever it is you planted in the flowerbed. Wishing you an enjoyable day.

  5. It's Kathy. After rain all day yesterday we now have sunshine and it's warming up. Yes, I need to avoid my awful neighbor as much as possible. I may go out later today to get up more weeds but I"m just not going to work that much outside. I do believe she has some form of dementia. I love the pictures today - I thought having 5 children I'd have lots of grandchildren but I only have 8 and they are mostly far away from us. Today is my twin son's 44th birthday - I talked to one this morning, the other is in Norway! Have a good day.

  10. Hi Lynda. I love that one photo with all the people in them. Was noticing that you forgot little Charlee, LOL. But hey, there's lots OF them! Wish my family had been big. Very small.

Yeah, I have read where people with dementia get mean - I walked my dog over to the other complex next door one time - and this little old lady came running out of her condo and yelling at me that no dogs were allowed, and that no dogs lived there. Well, that's false. There are all kinds of dogs over there, and in my complex too. She was screaming at me to go away. At the time I really thought she had a screw loose, LOL, but then I figured it out.
