Well, I am late posting-partly because I was sorting out all my 500,000 pills, and they fell all over the floor and there I was on my hands and knees trying to pick them all up before Lopez went out to the kitchen--to devour them. And yesterday, I am very sorry to say, that I never did get to post--I think because Gil, the workman came, and was hooking up the AC in my tiny home, and things then progressed to busy, and then--to--"VERY" busy--
But I am here now-- and that is the main thing--So-==- Words I wish I had written-
-#1. Focus your energies on the present
#2.-A happy heart runs like a good machine
#3.-We re not meant to fly solo--
#4.-Don't let being tired stop you-
So much has been going on here as I was trying to get this blog onto here for you all--Son#2 just now phoned-said--"OK Mom, let's check your banking--"I wonder why the Charge card is so high?"--Well, I knew why--I bought about 8 loafs of top soil so I could put it into the wee yard, before we seeded----and sure enough-- that was the reason--Well, while he was flying to "Timbuctu"--Gil and I were seeding the wee tiny yard--Lord love a Duck!!!--and it takes $$$$ to prepare the land in the the yard--
-- And I think "Blasts From The Past"-might be a good idea right now--below---Some of the Grandchildren with a couple of Moms" thrown in--
Below-- here is another with just Grandchildren Decorations one Halloween out along the road ME--Time to get off of here--The washer has stopped-- The dryer is done-- Time to get on with the day--Lopez must get out--To understand life, we must live it--so--do not let being tired, stop you--Remember, the more you know, the less you fear--Anyone who says raising children is not the most difficult job in the world is not doing it right--So get offa here and get on with your day--Go on!!!
Good morning Lynda
ReplyDeleteAlready hot and muggy in St.Louis. Maybe sporadic rains this weekend. Hope so as we need it. Hope you get rain for your grass seed. Is your big project with the dirt etc done? I think you said Gil was building something back there too.
You have a great day. Im off to the gym in a bit followed by lots of errands.
Marge St.Louis
Marge so nice you get to tne gym--My exercise right now is walking outside--with Lopez, -=and running from those bugs which get in your hair--nice day so far here--no rain yet--but-- I need rain--

DeleteGood Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteWe have been having some warm and sunny weather in the Cincinnati area the past several days. But, starting tomorrow there is rain in the forecast for the next several day so I am going to enjoy the sun today.
We have been running our central A/C for a few weeks now. It's been pretty warm and rather humid. Glad you have your A/C in, it definitely is nice to have.
I have a workout to get in, then get a few things done around the house. We bought a new couch for our basement family room and we need to go pick that up this evening.
Enjoy your day and I hope the rain helps your grass grow.
Happy Friday!
Hugs,
Jackie

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about the pills I know that I use to set my dads pills into a pill box that was set for the week and set for what time of day such as morning noon night it took a bit but it made his life so much easier could some one help you set that to save you the hassle it is going to be a very hot day here
Quote for the day
God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but also on trees, and in the flowers and clouds and stars.
Martin Luther
Yes, The Pharmacy sets the pills in a pill thing--and that helps--till I spill the pack--like-this morning--Love that quote--so true--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! Happy Friday! It is high 83 in Ohio. So nice that Matt looks out for you. I would think the landlord should fix the yard and cover the roots. The roots seem like a trip hazard and a liability. So sorry about your pills. I hope your day gets better. I’ve got to finish my coffee and get to the laundry room. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWow! 83 in Ohio--Nice!!--They came this am and whipper snipped--Nice they do that--No rain falling here yet--and I need that rain for the grass seed to grow--Lynda
DeleteHappy Friday to yu too!-Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, so good of Matt to keep an eye on your finances to make sure you had not been scammed or your card stolen. Yes, you will definitely need rain if you've put down grass seed. With rain and warm weather it will sprout quickly. Who is going to mow it once it needs doing? Enjoy your day, enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Well Maureen we shall not think of the mowing yet--LOL-- Although I do see in spots--little grass growing--Nice hot weather here helps also--It has been a busy morning--Well, I went for groceries--$300 worth of groceries--kinda crazy eh?-- Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis. I am late on here. Didn't get up until almost 8 AM.
ReplyDeleteIt's mostly cloudy here, too. No rain predicted, though. It's 72F now and due to have the temp rise to 82F
I haven't got my new little air conditioner connected yet, but the bedroom is prepared for it. I had to move things away from the window. I was going to ask my friend, John, to help me (I can't even safely get it out of the box), but his mother just passed. She was 105 y/o. Services are tomorrow, so he is too busy. It will get done eventually.
Still a few chores today...garbage and recyclables, etc. dusting...and I may try lugging that huge vacuum around.
I'll check back later, Lynda. Let's all make ourselves a great day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Wow--She was 105 --in yrs--??--That is really amazing!--Yes lotza work daily--a cat to feed --a dog to feed AND WALK--groceries to buy--groceries to carry in--then put away--Lord love a Duck! But--It teally is a lovely day to-=day--Lynda
DeleteAmen to "the most difficult job in the world" being raising good humans. I often marvel that we survived it!
ReplyDeleteHope your grass grows nicely, and that Lopez does NOT find and ingest something dangerous to him! I had that kind of fret this morning on Ember's long leash walk when her acute nose sniffed out someone's dropped sandwich, wedged under the tire of a parked car! I could not persuade her not to eat it, and meanwhile I had to stand in the street to direct traffic, as it was on the street side. But many dogs will eat just about anything, and dropped pills can be very attractive. Not to mention that it might make YOU run short of medication YOU need! But the more immediate need is to keep the pup safe, right?
Hugs & have a great day and weekend ahead!
- Barb (OKM)
Holy Cow--We did survive it Barb-- wore us out tho--Don'tcha think?---But we made "good kids""--I have been walking Lopez and he sees something --and he has pulled that leash right out of my hand , as he began to run right across the road--and all I think is, """"Oh no! Now he is going to die -righj in front of my eyes--and then I will die too--"-horrible feeling--I understand how yu felt--Lynda
DeleteSo glad that you were able to scoop up the pills before Lopez got to them! I seem to drop pills all the time...but just usually one or two at a time! And they always roll down under the cabinets so that I have to get down on my knees to retrieve them! I think I get tired more easily as I age. I still seem to be able to do everything, but I have to take more frequent breaks and just sit down to rest when I feel too pooped to keep going. I'm on one of those breaks right now! I have been out trimming the trees that hit me in the face when I mow! Cutting them into smaller pieces and lugging them to the burn barrel is worse than actually cutting them...but I will be so happy that I preserved and did it the next time I mow! And boy - you are so right about doing things to improve your property costing a lot! Seems like all I do is spend money....but what the heck - we can't take it with us so we need to do things to help us enjoy our homes now! Last I want to comment on your words of wisdom about not being meant to fly solo....I flew with my beloved husband for 57 years...(married 50 but went steady in high school and college for 7 years)....He was my one and only, so I am content to fly solo now. Friends have suggested maybe dating and I just laugh and say no, I am "one and done" as I had a really good mate that can't be replaced!
ReplyDeleteSandra I( do the same thing--and then I watch him all the rest of the day as he might die--LOLOL----- Yes I do everything also--and at 83 I am pooped by bedtime--LOL-and yes, all I do is spend $$$$ also--Matt is forever calling me (the Pilot)-and I agree--when you have had the best partner in life--he is NOT replacable---- Yu are so good Sandra to just continue on-- Lynda
DeleteIt's' Kathy. The days do seem to get away from us! I don't think I'm really so busy (not compared to years ago), it just takes me longer to do everything. There's so much yard work to do. Thankfully we had some rain last night so I won't have to water today. One blessing! Have a wonderful day. I enjoy your family photos! Everyone looks so happy.
ReplyDeleteKathy--YU had rain??--- no rain here ydet--and I need it--Lynda
