I measure my life in moments-

Good day--  It is Saturday, June 27th--I see the  sun rising in the distance--It will probably be hot to-day--"I feel it in my bones", as Mom used to say. The wash machine is chugging away--Lopez ,Sushi, and I, are "up and at-er', as Mom also used to say--and the bed is made--the AC turned off, for now--I see on the calendar here that Lopez goes for a bath on the 30th--I hope I remember--

Words I wish I had written
#1.Keep your head
#2.What you give will afford you more pleasure than what you get.
#3.Be better prepared than what you need to be.
#4.Do the hardest task first-
#5. If you think you can, you can--If you think you can't, you can't.

                                    and, blasts from the past--

a busy kitchen above-- everyone-- plus the dog
Son#2, the pilot, with Allisons 2 children, Sophia and Jacob

above--  someone asleep, in a tent--way--eeee back

                                oh my, whatta busy kitchen

above, Hannah peeking in on Grampa
Time to get the clothes into the dryer--
Time for you to get off of here and get on with your day also--
To-day, remember to take the bad with the good--and, "keep your chin up", as Dad always used to tell me--There are 2 kinds of people--those who lift, and the people  who lean--So, get offa here and get on with yer day--oh---- and big hugs to you all--

  2. Good morning, sis.

I've already been busy, too. Laundry is in. Garbage and recylables getting ready to go down. I'm in a bit of a rush to get things done. No nap today for me. My daughter is 'coming down' to near me with my grandson. I can finally get him his birthday gifts. There is a large movie theater near here. We will bee seeing, "Toy Story" the new one. The last time we were there we saw, "Dumbo."

Love the blasts..especially one of your sons loving up on that beautiful German.

Did Gil finish his work? Did you take a photo?

You didn't mention any plans today, but I hope your day is great. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Good Morning!
I really enjoyed the life in moments quotes. So true! There are way more good, happy moments in life to overshadow the bad ones.

I was up and at er this AM, dusting and washing sheets. Now I just need to make the bed and I am done with chores for the day. Woo Hoo!

We got 2 inches of rain overnight. It's going to be off and on rain today and it's getting humid out. Not the best day to be out and about.
Hubby and I are going to run a few errands and then go out to a casual dinner.

    Have an awesome day!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  4. It's Kathy. I love your busy kitchen - that's how life should be. I used to love going over to my former MIL's home - there was always something going on in the kitchen and everyone was welcome. I lost that privilege when her son left us and I think I missed her more than I missed him! It's warming up here too. No A/C yet but for sure by Monday when it is expected to be 98 degrees - highest temp since September 2023. I'm not a fan of that kind of heat. Today Tom will help me plant the grass seed into my former garden. Hopefully it will grow and there will be no more weeding (at least there) for me! Have a wonderful day!
