I just drove to the pharmacy and picked up this weeks pill pack--I had to switch to the plastic containers for the pills as the paper ones were ripping--What one has to do eh when we age!-----stuff I never ever did--like take so many pills , I need a pill pack--like make 500 trips to Canadian tire to buy grass seed--then lug it home here--spread top soil to go under the grass seed--and as I lugged the top soil bags to the car, and some man said, "Can I help you with that Dear?"---I just wanted to wrap my arms around him and hug him, but, instead, I replied , "Oh thank you Sir"---I think he was from Heaven for sure!----although he had no wings----

The end of your blog today says it all "Enjoy the life you are given!" It is harder some days, but all in all, every day above ground is a good day! Rainy here, so I get a break from yard work! Yay! I'm off to volunteer at the Assisted living facility here in town! And then I am definitely going to try to work on the paperwork that I have let pile up in the office area! Hope you have a great day! Love reading your blogs every day!

DeleteIt's Kathy. Good message today. Daisy didn't get up until 8:20 this morning, so I was able to sleep in. Tom and I have done our grocery shopping and now I can catch up on some things here at home. We finally had rain yesterday - it will be easier to get the last of the weeds out of the garden so we can plant grass seed. It was very nice of that gentleman to help you with those bags of dirt. They're even getting hard for Tom to haul them around - had my son bring some to the back yard when he was here. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI ordered a sunflower potted plant from Home Depot and it asked me if I wanted some potting soil along with that, but I didn't realize how big it was. They delivered the potting soil, not the plant yet, and it's too heavy for me to drag around to the garage, it's more potting soil than I would need for the rest of my lifetime! I will have to sell it to one of the neighbors. It's just huge!

Good afternoon, sis. I'm late today.
ReplyDeleteYou sure got busy really early today! Hope you get some rest later.
Your photos are always great, but I especially love the one of the photos of your kids together when they were younger!
It was nice of that man to help you haul your stuff. Here we have a saying, "Minnesota Nice." Everybody does it for whoever they can. It's like everyone feels bad if they don't help people...they want to add to the MN nice.
I just got back taking my gentlemen friends on their monthly shopping. Only 3 stores today. They gave me $20 for gas. It's so expensive now!
I love your words! BUT I'm gonna crash with my kitty now. I'll come back this evening. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Hi Lynda, I hope you day is going well. Gas where I live is $5.76/gal. I gave the clerk $40, but the nozzle had not yet clicked off before the $40 was used. Between gas and groceries it's so expensive. We both know who is responsible for these high prices. What does he care, he doesn't pay for groceries nor for gas. Oh well, it is what it is. Enjoy your day.

Hi Lynda
ReplyDeleteIm always up by five, many days earlier as I can't sleep in....never slept late in my life. Yes. I do get a lot done...all my housework...before I head to the gym around 9. Im low on energy in the evenings.
My goodness...just how big is this sunflower you ordered? It must be a whopper if it takes that much dirt.
Rained/stormed around 4am but sunny and muggy noe...82F
Enjoy your day
