Keep calm and try to take over the World.

Good morning--To-day  is Friday, June 19th--and it is freezing in here--I must get the heat turned up-----Lordy Be!  This Spring, every morning, I have to decide-- "turn up the furnace "--or  -do I turn on the AC--?--- I never remember doing that before-- Is it one--or -is it---the other??---But, I do have the washer chugging away --

So, are you "up and at-er "?---Lordy Be, why is it so hard to get moving in the morning??---

                        So--"Words I wish I had written"--
#1."Living is succeeding"---(Boy! I need to remember that!)
#2."Be on time"----
#3.Feel too young to get old!--
#4.No one is really normal--(man oh man---I must remember that!)
#5.Friendship is gained by listening instead of talking---

                            And--"Blasts from the Past"
                Below--- Ava and Emma--Son#3's daughters

Below---a very old picture taken in Jamaica-I am the one standing up--The wee little boy on the left, of the raft--is Son #2, the pilot--  and the
little boy holding the raft, on the rt of the raft,  is Son#1----at Bull's Bay, in Jamaica, many moons ago--

Below--Emma , holding Watson, her huge, cat, with Charlee beside her--

Above-Son#1 with Charlee, his daughter

and--above, a lot of Grandkids out on the frozen lake
below--- my tiny yard--

So, time to get off of here--get the dryer going--(Get the day going!)-
Feel too young to-day, to get old---Don't be discouraged by your mistakes, fill the "now"--and--"think big"-- Remember--You are one person--  try to achieve what is possible for you to-day--NOT THE IMPOSSIBLE--and most of all, believe that "YOU" can do anything you decide to do----oh-----
and---BIG HUGS~

    3. Nineteenth is a portmanteau of "June "and "nineteenth" it is the oldest celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States.

  2. Good Morning Lynda,
    It's Friday! Woo Hoo!
It's been a busy week so I am ready for the weekend.
The rain is gone, as least for today. It's sunny and warm, but not too warm.
I hope your house gets warmed up. Enjoyed the pics as always.
The one of all the kids and you in Jamaica looks fun. And Emma's cat Watson is beautiful.

    Have a fantastic Day!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  6. Good morning, sis.

Cooler here, too, but partly sunny. The temp is only 63, but I am sure it will climb to the low 70s. Weather.com says we will have a cooler summer in this part of the country.

That cat looks huge, but lots of that may be fur. Amg the grand kids on the lake! Wow. I am not a winter weather person. The only reason I moved here was to be near my daughter.

Lots of small things to do today for me. It's hard to prioritize which to do first. That's why I sit here at the computer...

I love what you said at the end...to what's possible for you, not the impossible. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  8. It's Kathy. I'm happy to know that no one is really normal. I feel so far from normal these days. We had rain this morning - just enough to make it hard to get any work done outside. I think the weather this year is far from normal - we had 90's in May and now 60's and low 70's in June with rain almost every day! Have a good day. I enjoyed your photos today, especially the one in Jamaica!

  9. Juneteenth- June 19th, two years after the Civil War, people arrived in Texas to let the slaves know about the Emancipation Proclamation & that they were now free. Became an official US holiday in 2021.
