So, you made it through the night?--I did too- Did you really want to get out of your warm bed?--Hard eh?--I had to turn back the AC unit--had turned it off during the night--Altho it's a portable thing, it does seem to cool the whole tiny house down--(the cool air goes down to the first floor and keeps that floor quite cool)--Oh, by the way, I hear the wash machine has stopped so I must get it into the dryer--
So--"Another day, another dollar""--Fred used to say that--We never ever forget him--or your partner in life, do we??--
So--"Words I wish I had thought of"--
#1.-Sit up straight--LOL-Do you remember your Mom always telling you that?
#2.You do not have to slow down just because you get older.
#3.You can't try to do things. You simply must do things.
#4.Believe the best of everybody.

DeleteMorning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
I missed your blog yesterday. I checked in the morning and you hadn't posted yet, and then I got busy and forgot to check back.
Glad your grass is starting to grow. Hopefully, Mother Nature will keep watering it for you.
Busy day here with laundry, workout and dinner to make, along with some other stuff on my to do list.
Have a great breakfast with Dave!
Hugs,
Jackie
i Jackie--so sorry--some busy days, I get some typed then Lopez goes attack the cAt and I run to prevent a war which was ready to begin--and the blog gets left--so so sorry coz I imagine that might've happened--I shall try go keep my mind on the computer--Lynda Good go hear from yu anyway--Lynda
DeleteIt is a lovely day here to-day too--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, by now, with the difference in time, you will have had your meal with Dave. I'm sure it was enjoyable for both of you, the meal and the company. Nice that you went to see Charlee dance. If you had moved to the Recency, you wouldn't be able to do that. You are a wise woman not to drive in the dark. As we age, our vision changes and it's too risky trying to navigate the roads at night, particularly with light coming from oncoming traffic. Have you had rain that takes care of the grass seed, or do you go out with a hose and hand water? It's important not to allow it to dry out. Well, enjoy the remainder of your day.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Oh Maureen I shall go to Canadian Tire for another sprinkler soon--The front grass is growing-- lotza watering--The back yard--only sprinkled--is not looking good--and yes, I enjoyed the Dance Recital last night so much--took a cab home to let Lopez out--did not like to leave him alone too long--Charlee is a real dancer--Lynda
DeleteHappy Sunday to you! I hope it is a blessed day! I was not an early bird this morning! I slept until 8:15 am! I haven't done that in several years! Guess I was just pooped from all the yard work I have been doing! I try not to "slow down" as your wisdom quote says....but I have! Everything takes me longer! But then I think "slow but sure wins the race" from the turtle and hare story! So I just keep going! hahaha! Looks like it might be a rainy day here so I will work inside....definitely need to mop the kitchen floor - a job I keep putting off - my sweet husband used to mop the kitchen and bathroom floors every Thursday....oh my I do miss that guy! Anyway, the rain would be welcomed as then I wouldn't have to drag water out to the little trees I planted - which I have been doing every night! What was I thinking??? I didn't realize I was just making more work for myself! Oh well - isn't there a Chinese proverb says something like "When is the best time to plant a tree? Twenty years ago!" So maybe somebody will be happy that I struggled with watering but didn't give up 20 years from now! :-)
ReplyDeleteSandra--I really do admire you so so much!--You are a strong Lady--but--yes I miss Fred so very much-- =-Yes, planting a tree 20 yrs ago would be good eh?--LOL--I still read your books every night as I climb into bed--miss Fred so much!--I cannot thank yu enough for the books--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I hope you have a wonderful breakfast with Dave. That's my favorite meal to eat out! My dad always said that too "Another day another dollar". I still miss him so much and it's been 23 years this August. I had a wonderful dad! It's going to be very warm here so I may have to turn on the A/C. We're expecting Tom's son and family for a short visit. We haven't seen them in so long, it will be nice to catch up. That's about the extent of my day today! Just going to take it kind of easy. Hope it's a great day for you.
ReplyDeleteI have the tiny AC unit on upstairs--It just takes the edge off the heat-----Nice outside afte that terrible winter--very hot here to-day--= Thank yu for writing--I appreciate all yer kind words--Lynda

Hi Lynda! Happy Sunday! Sunny and 80 in Ohio. We had severe weather warning last night but only got rain. I hope you enjoyed your outing with Dave. Sounds like your fur babies are just enjoying the little house. How nice! Love your pics of the sweet grands. Have a great afternoon! I was late here last night but made it earlier today. Big hugs!
