Never depend on anyone.-----

There is my deck--in my wee yard--  Gil extended it across to the shed--So nice to have a place to sit outside--So--to-day is, Sunday, July 12th--The sun is peeking out , just above the horizon-- The A.C. is on-(-was off all night-)-  nice to feel the fresh breezes coming into the bedroom upstairs---Of course, the washer is chugging away-Sushi's food is ready to run upstairs--Lopez is on my sofa, --where I usually sit--(He always tries to sit where I usually sit--little rascal)---

So---How is your day going so far??--Are you happy --and you know it?--

Words I wish I had written--

#1.Use the library

#2.You cannot tame life.

#3.It is a gift to lead a simple life.

#4.The time to be happy is now.

#5.Shake up your daily routine

                                    Blasts from the past

                    below-Sophia, Andie, Jacob, and Ethan-"cousins:

A lot of bells and whistles in the cockpit

Below---big "Beau" with his friend, Lopez

Below----Fred, Me--and my younger brother, Wayne

Cousins--with Charlee, with "attitude"---(I am on the rt--in the back)

Below--so many water toys--around the dock

Guess what-?-Time to get on with our day--Remember?--A woman's work is never done---I hope your day goes well--Actions--not words eh? Try to be your own best friend--Try to be happy to-day and not let the crazies get you down--It is better to bind your children to you by a feeling of respect and gentleness than by fear------

                oh--  I nearly forgot----BIG HUGS

  1. Good Morning! Happy Sunday!

That looks like a nice little deck to relax and enjoy nature.
We used to sit outside a lot more than we do now but the mosquitos are so bad anymore. Hubby sprays to keep them away (natural repellent) but our neighbors aren't so good about keeping gutters clean and clearing weeds and standing water. So, it's not worth getting bit up.
Wishing you a joyful sunny day!
    Hugs,

    1. I didn't get to go shopping yesterday. Just as we were getting ready to leave,it started pouring rain and it continued for several hours. So, we decided to stay in for the day. I will try again next weekend. We have some new stores near us I want to check out.

  2. Good Sunday morning to you Lynda. I must say, Gil did a fabulous job on your deck. It looks so inviting to sit outside and read, or relax or visit with someone. You'll make good use of it when Allison comes for a visit with her family. We are heading for a heat wave this week. I am guessing you'll be going out to meet up with Dave for breakfast. Thanks for posting the photo of your backyard.

  3. Good morning, sis. I am late today. It was so hard to get out of bed...the A/C was on AND the box fan at the foot of my bed. Lucky was in the bathroom in his cool spot away from big wind from the things that were cooling me.

I have to keep this brief cuz I have an order to pick up at my favorite grocery in less than half an hour.

    Love the Blasts!

Re the end of your blog: I agree with you about your children. Harsh punishment or 'consequences' just make the fear you!

I have never seen the inside of a cockpit before it looks so intimidating but I guess if you know it you are not scared at all

  5. Big hugs to you too, Lynda! Yes, never depend on anyone! My motto today. I am being Sadie and drinking iced peanut butter protein coffee from Dunkin while I play Sadie. An elderly man left his wallet on the counter at Dunkin and I ran to the next parking lot over to catch him. He was happy. I guess I better go get my sheets out of the dryer. Have a super Sunday. It’s our favorite day! So hot but sunny and beautiful in Ohio. Yay! It was cloudy yesterday! Love, love your deck! Enjoy! Talk with you later. Hugs!

  6. It's Kathy. It's going to be a really hot week here in Minnesota and I'm not too thrilled about that. Turned on the A/C shortly after I got up this morning. So far we can still sleep with it off. My daughter will be here shortly to collect her guinea pigs. They've actually been pretty good so far today, haven't made too much of a mess. I do not think I will miss them but I'll bet Daisy will. She likes to sit in my chair too. She'll see me going in the bedroom in the evening to put on my pj's and she runs into the living room and gets in my chair! Sometimes if I get up to get something she'll do the same! Someone once said it's because it makes them feel closer to us! Love the photos for today. My stove finally came about 5 pm last night and Tom had to hook it up and put it together, but it's too hot to cook today! Take care and have a good day.
