Good morning, Lynda! Big hugs to you, too! Our heatwave was to end tonight but they extended it until tomorrow night! I am sure Allison told you. Lots of people with no power. The heat is supposed to bring strong storms this weekend. Yuck! So happy you got to enjoy a boat ride on your old boat. My son and his family were 4 miles from shore on their pontoon the other night and they broke down. They were stranded until midnight with the three kids. How scary! They caught a lot of fish so then my son cleaned fish half the night. Never a dull moment, right? I hope you have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteOur power just came back on--was off all morning--so happy to have it back--kinda scary about your son with the children--the weather really messes us up eh?--=Lynda

Cute quote--funny-- but true--Very hot day here --and our power went off-- so--it has been a sorta weird day--hate days that don't go as they should--LOL--Anyway--It is back on now--heading for the "hair" shortly-- Lynda
Deleteextremely hot outside-- Lynda
DeleteMorning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteWell that sounds like a fun day out on the boat. I bet it brought up a lot of fond memories for you. How did Lopez enjoy it?
It's still a scorcher here today with highs hitting 94F. It's still very steamy. The whole Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky metro area is under a heat advisory. Luckily, I have another day of indoor chores to do so I won't get outside much till this evening when I replenish the bird baths and bird feeders.
Wishing you a cooler, fun filled day!
Hugs,
Jackie
Oh Jackie-- Fred loved that boat so it did bring back good memories-- 'cept--Tim driving, did not hit any rocks--(which Fred always did hit)--and Lop[ez eas gopd ion the boat seemed to enjoy it-- Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, so happy to hear that your son called to see if you would like to go out on the boat. I'm sure it brought back lots of memories, but that you found it enjoyable to be out on the water. This is the last day that we'll have weather in the high 70s and then temps will begin climbing. We've had fireworks every night after a World Cup game ends and neighbors celebrate that their team won. They're using illegal fireworks that they purchased across the State line. It's like bombs going off. I hope you have a pleasant day.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Oh Maureen--Maybe those are the fireworks we had here for Canada Day--They sounded like a bomb exploding--were very loud too--To-day was a very hot day-- and then the power went out also--So no AC for ,most opf the dAy-- It is back on now--In spite of everything--I survived the day--not my favourite day tho--LOL-Lynda
Deletea very very hot day here -to-day--Lynda
DeleteI also live in California and I call the bombs too.The fireworks shake the house.

DeleteAwww, glad you got to go on the “old boat” and bring back nice memories!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the photos. Such a beautiful family.
Stay cool. Sun is out now, but we had some drenching rain. Looks like rain the rest of the week, but at least it will be a tad cooler!

It really has been a hot day here to-day--seem we just got rid of the snow--and we lost "power" also for most of the day--Lynda
DeleteYers Barb--was so nice to see the boat back in shape-- Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. How nice of your son to pick you up so you could enjoy a boat ride. My family had a cabin on a lake about an hour from our home and I loved riding in the boat. It's been a long time for me! Yes, we had our pizza, although it was a bit overdone. Wednesdays is Tom's night to figure out dinner, cook and clean up. It's a very nice break for me. Today I put a pork roast in the slow cooker - should have been in there much earlier but we both slept in this morning. We'll have pulled pork sandwiches for dinner and maybe some french fries! I love using the slow cooker - get everything ready early and just let it cook! I hope you have a good day. This afternoon our big even is getting haircuts and maybe stopping at the store!
ReplyDeleteThat was nice of Tim eh to get me--and it was like "old times' riding up the lake-- I loved it!--Lynda
DeleteDid yu get out for those haircuts?--::--Lynda
