Hanging out with eagles---or- hanging out with chickens

Good Morning Y'all! To-day is  Monday, April the 27th--

                             almost into May-- -----

We used to sing, as kids, "Hurahh, Hurahh, The First Of May, Outdoor necking starts to--day"--            and then we would roll onto the floor, laughing and laughing--I have no idea why that would send us into fits of laughter , but it always did--Crazy what you do as children!!---

I guess Fred and I,   hung out with  the chickens-
Son#2, I think,  hung out with the eagles--

-Did you enjoy your children as they grew?--Because we had so many children, it seemed some of them were in pre-school--then public school, then high school-and then on to various universities, all over Ontario-always some in some school-They all graduated- There were times I never thought they would , but , they persevered--and so did Fred and I-

Son#2 , right now, is heading back home, to Canada--from Britain--on  the "push back" as he says--
Pictures of his dinner last night--
The wash is ready to get into the dryer--and Lopez and I must  walk around the block--so he can do his business----always busy in the morning ----So many words I wish I had thought of--
                        #1. Rise early
                        #2.Put your best foot forward
#3.Life begins every morning when you wake up
#4. Save for a rainy day
#5, Never give up on what you really want to do

                                And-- Blasts from he past-----
Everyone in the above picture is a member of our family -except one person--Can you find that person----a hint--She is in the top row, on the rt.
a Birthday for Charlee with both Grandparents there
                Below--Allisons 2 children  with Fred and I
Below--Ethan, Son#4's son---  acting like Trump
I must get the laundry out of the dryer-Lopez and I have "walked around the block"--It will be a busy week ahead--a Dr's appointment this week-always-lots going on here--I must learn to paddle my own canoe--Remember, yesterday will never come again--and remember to enjoy to-day--and appreciate  the many things that make  life so valuable..--So much to keep in mind isn't there?-

  1. Good Monday Morning Lynda,
    Hope your weekend was good.
That's a serious slab of meat there in the picture!
It's going to be a nice day here, sunny and in the 70's F but there will be thunderstorms overnight. They will be gone by morning though.
Grocery shopping and a workout for me today. This is going to be a busy week for me. Lots of stuff going on and appointments to keep. Oh well, it keeps me moving.
Hope Lopez and Sushi are doing well.
    Have a lovely day!

    Hugs,
    Jackie

the food looks very good I feel that you and Fred soared with the eagles you raised all the children to be the best and that nakes you the parents of eagles thus you must be eagles

  3. Sounds like you are up early and have got things under control....I think you fly with the eagles! I know the feeling about clucking with the chickens when we were raising our families! And you had one more son than I did! Whew! But we made it! Speaking of those kids, most of mine came to celebrate my birthday yesterday! And they all pitched in to help me get yard work done and put together some new patio furniture! Brought me new hummingbird feeders and several hanging plants! And we had ice cream cake! Yum! Today it is raining and storming! Severe storms predicted with hail and high winds tonight, so dinner plans with my church friends have already been cancelled! So glad you are seeing the sun! Sure helps the mood to be happier eagle!

  4. Good morning, sis.

There is always something going on around here, too. Not as much as with you, though.

It's a gloomy day here. Rain and storms on and off all day. The temp isn't too bad. It's 57F and will still get a few degrees warmer.

I've got an online doctor appointment with my primary care doctor. Usually I go see her in person.

Love all your photos! Trump, especially, is adorable. And I don't know who that extra lady is, but I recognize the rest.

If we do what we think we must but take breaks for ourselves, we will make it through the day.

I'll be back later, Lynda. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  5. Good morning Lynda, that is a seriously big steak that Matt had for dinner. I love Ethan's impersonation of Trump, even the orange makeup. Yes, I saw the woman on the far right and wondered who she was. I have 2 doctor appts this week. Will you be seeing the young doctor again? I hope the sun shines on you all day. I think you and Fred were both eagles.
