Never neglect older people-

--late blogging--AGAIN---but---  I am finally here--- had to pick up my weeks meds from the pharmacy--Ethan (the Grandson who is now driving,) went with me to the blood Lab --then came with  me to the pharmacy to get the meds----and then I shovelled a path to the neighbour's  house so the mail Lady does not have to walk in and out the driveway--can cut across the lawn in front of the house--always lots to do---

It is a holiday here in Canada---to-day---  so the clinic is not open--but the Lab is, so I could just run up the 49 steps to the Lab----It was not busy, which ment --"No Waiting""--nice!-and in between all the other stuff, of course the washer was on--then done and the dryer also--and Lopez had a wee walk outside--A woman's work is never done--

AND--we still have snow--falling lightly from the sky--and--this is APRIL---a very late Spring in this part of the world--                                      Blasts from the Past

Below, Ethan, Son#2, with Hannah, his daughter -me--and of course, the man that I married!

and Gerrard (blond)-Matt's dog,  and Tyson (black)----Allison's dog--now deceased

BELOW--a bunch of Grandkids

A Short blog----  Is it better than no blog?--  (my words!--LOL)
So I am off of here--In Canada , this is known as "Easter Monday"--a holiday--I hope that you all
cherish leisure---enjoy to-day--Do not let the sun go down on a quarrel--and never neglect older people--a lot of advice from 'Words of wisdom'--Don't forget to tell people how much you love them--

  1. Hi Lynda! It is cloudy and in the 50’s in Ohio. It sounds like you are having a busy day! Yuck to the labs. I am not due until October. I will get a butterfly needle. You know I am a chicken. LOL! So sweet of Ethan to help you out. I remember him mowing at the lake at times. My nephew is gone. My husband is driving half way to meet his mom. My tinnitus is annoying today. I have a women’s checkup in the morning at Cleveland Clinic. She is a great female doctor. I hope you get some rest. Take care! Hugs!

  2. Good Afternoon Lynda,
Boy I don't say that too often. It's always morning.
You were a busy bee this morning. But, it sounds like you got a lot accomplished.
I have already been to the grocery and now getting ready to get my workout in.
And you replied to my comment yesterday asking if Medina is close to my hometown in Ohio. Medina is about 2 -2 1/2 hours north of my hometown. Medina is up in Northern Ohio by Cleveland and my hometown is in the middle of the state closer to Columbus.

Gee I hope the snow ends sometime soon for you all up there. We have sunny, windy weather and it's about 60F.

    Anyway, have an awesome Monday!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

    2. Out of curiosity, where is it you live, Jackie? I'm in Newark, Ohio, but grew up in Columbus and spent most of my life there. I was born here and moved back here so that I could afford to live!

    3. Marti,
I grew up in Bellefontaine, Ohio and lived there until 1995 when I moved to the Cincinnati area. I now live just over the Ohio river in Northern Kentucky and I am about 15 minutes from downtown Cincy.

  3. Hi Lynda, you're correct, a woman's work is never done. You have a treasure trove of photos of the family to choose from, and it's nice that you're willing to share them with all of us. We're finally having temps down in the 70's, which exactly what I like. We may have rain this coming Friday, which would be a good thing. With the very high temps we had for awhile, everything has dried everything out making the possibility of wildfires real.
Enjoy your newly tuned piano while you still have it.

  4. Good afternoon, sis.

I knew it is Easter Monday, but I didn't know it was an official holiday in Canada.

Busy here. I went shopping but the store was not too busy (for a change). I spent over $30 so I got a 6 cent discount on gas at their gas station. I will need it in a couple days.

My goodness...the granchildren! Is that all of them? I believe I only see 1 boy. He must be the one driving you around now.

I slept late today! No nap yesterday just wore me out, I guess. I'll be taking a late nap today...maybe shorter so I don't get too far off my preferred schedule. I want to get back into my routine.

Finishing lunch now. Will get offa here and on to the nap...but I will be back later.
Oh, REMEMBER to be nice to all people. (people remember the word you used first. They remember bett if it's REMEMBER not DON'T FORGET.) {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  5. Hi Lynda, I have had 1 burning question which may seem intrusive (cause it really isn't any of my business) but I wonder what you wash every day? I too live alone with a large dog and do laundry / load about once a week.

  6. Hi, it's Marti. I may be repeating myself, but I stayed home for Easter yesterday because I've been fighting some bug, I think, or delayed reaction to COVID shot I had LAST Sunday, but as I was home my hot water heater started leaking, so I had to call somebody. They looked at it and today came at 8ish to put in a new one. It took until about noon, and then around 1 I was able to leave and get to work, I worked until 5. Blessed that I have the freedom to do that. So that's two down, that I worry about, in this condo. Air conditioner was replaced about 2 yrs ago, and now I just have the original furnace which is about 26 yrs old. My cousin helps me pay with the money she's set aside for when she passes - she's 81. The hot water heater was also original. I'm glad to have that done, but some water got underneath my floating laminate floor, so I will have to contact my home insurance and see if I need anything done, and see if I can get some money towards a fix.

    It's always something.

    Marti

  7. Blogging "late" or "short" is doing better than my own pace. That has dropped to blogging once a week or every ten days or so. I'm always glad to see you touching base and carrying on with the day to day!

  8. It's Kathy. Some of the kids had the day off school, others didn't. But it's not exactly a holiday here in the states. I decided to go to an afternoon Pilates class and I felt like everyone's grandmother! I'd say most of the participants were under 25!!! Not sure if I'll do that one again! Hope you had a nice day. Love the photos! Great memories.
