Take good care of those you love-

The above does help me when I feel a bit defeated--I never realized how much I depended on my husband, --until he was not there---We CAN make it thru the challenges of the day---with positive thoughts--  WE CAN DO WHATEVER---"WE CAN!"

So, "Another day-another dollar"--Dad used to say that--Funny how one remembers all those "sayings" we hear in our younger years--

This morning, (Now listen to this---)--  WE HAVE RAIN_-falling--(not snow)----cool outside tho--!
So, the clothes are in the dryer---  Oh I hear it is done---Lopez is asleep on his leather chair , which he thinks is his bed-----Sushi and I are "up and at-er" --THE DAY HAS BEGUN!
So, Wise Words I wish I had written--

#1. Old age is a victory, a privilege
#2.Grow old in body only, never in mind!

#3. Every argument has at least two points of view.
#4. You are born to succeed.
So, Blasts from the past-----and above is Son#3's family--

and below ---are---  Grandchildren from 3 families-- in our kitchen before the big move
Below--Son#1  with his Dad--  the guy that I married--

            Below--a kinda a unique picture from Son#1--"Watson" the cat-with "De-Ja", the dog

So--  It is Monday, April the 13th----- time to get busy here--  I see we have dense fog outside--and here we are, "up and at-er"-----so I better get busy

--Remember--You are born to succeed--Happy people think happy thoughts--Your home is the resort of love, joy , and plenty--Keep it that way--Take good care of those you love--and---remember, if you are too busy to laugh, then you are just too busy!

  2. Yes, life certainly changes when we lose our precious husbands....we have to learn to adapt to all kinds of things that we never had to do alone before. The loneliness is sometimes overwhelming, but I have learned that I just have to keep going - one foot in front of the other. Our grief sometimes overwhelms us, but we slowly learn to adapt to this fundamental change in our lives. Focusing on our blessings especially our kids and grandkids, and trying to look toward the future helps a lot! Sending you lots of love and hugs this morning! And I love your photos of your family! So wonderful that you have them and share them with all of us!

  3. It's Kathy. I'm glad it's rain and not more snow. One more step to Spring! We are getting storms this afternoon, possible hail, possible tornados. I have a class at the gym at 4:30 pm but I'm not sure I'm going to take the chance! Tom and I are running some errands shortly so we're in once the rain and thunderstorms begin. I love the photo of the dog riding in the front seat and the cat watching out the window. My cat HATED going in the car for any reason, and Daisy will go with us but she lies down in the back seat facing the back. She doesn't want to see anyone! Also a very nice photo of Son #3's family, some of your grandchildren and, of course, Fred! I. hope you have a good day today!

  4. Yes, sometimes we really don’t’ realize how much someone else does til they’re not there doing it. **SIGH**

WE are in for buckets of rain. Had downpours. This morning sun to heat up the atmosphere and tonight . . . storms. Under a flood watch, but we should be all right. Better than a bucket of snow.

DEFNITELY older age is a privilege and a victory! For sure, if our mind stays young our body follows suit.

Love the blasts from the past.

    Have a wonderful Monday.

    hugs and blessings

    1. sorry the above is from RD in AZ and I forget to tell you it is raining here and not a nice soft rain the kind of rain that hits the ground hard

    2. I'll tell you, retiring isn't all it's cracked up to be. I sat around the house morose for 11 years, afraid to go back out there due to circumstances at my old jobs, then husband passed and really realized that without work and seeing people and having a purpose, I was depressed as all heck. I work part-time now, and feel that that's the best that life can get!

    3. And P.S., as hard as I work, volunteering wouldn't cut it for me. I demand a PAY check, darn it, LOL. I'm beat when I get home! Darned if I'm going to expend myself for no reason at all, even if it WERE to be for a good cause.
