Living with Love!--

Good Morning--  Have any of you ever wondered what raising 5 children looks like ?

Well, this is exactly what it looks like----

Lots of smiley faces--  happy hearts--dogs and cats--laughter--sadness--caring hearts-looking back-would I ever have changed things?-----Never!!!!

AND--To-day is Sunday, March the 8th--just daylight outside--Lopez , Sushi and I are up--just--  Son#2 the Pilot called-and woke me up--I did not want to get out of bed-Apparently he was  heading to the airport to  fly a plane somewhere, and they changed the aircraft en route, and because every Pilot always flies the same aircraft--  he was on his way back home as the  route had been changed--as well as the aircraft--So----yes, life is about "Peace and Love"--TO_DAY IS ABOUT PEACE AND LOVE__Everyday really is about peace --And LOVE!-----'cept--- if your doctor takes your driving licence away because of your memory--  and yu have NEVER had a driving incident--and because of a medical incident which you have corrected with meds--which isn't fair at all--(There might not be a lot of "peace and love there at the present time!)

The washer is chugging away--in my tiny kitchen--not as much laundry  in it to-day--So----I shall return--will  get Lopez out --It feels  like it could be cold outside--See you in a bit---  oh--I see  that I still have a vehicle in the driveway--AND A DRIVERS LICENCE--I wonder how long this will be??--(SAD --SAD!!)

-kinda sad that the Dr  is taking my Driver's Licence away---It is really a medical thing with my memory-- low thyroid--- and I take Synthroid to sort that out--All that really should have been taken into consideration--After my move back here my thyroid was all out of whack--is slowly coming back to normal now --just taking the medication at night-- without food-- and that has  brought everything closer to normal--  I guess it is what it is-- Lordy Be!!!

Wise words --that I wish I had written--#1-If things look hopeless, look to see if you are not facing the wrong direction.
#2. Even certainy is not certain--
#3.Set aside quiet time everyday.--
                                                    Blasts From The Past
below-- Son#2 the Pilot, Fred, Phil the policeman, and Tim

This must've been my Birthday--and there we all are--
and son #2, the Pilot, getting married.

and we were all there--lotza love  there--

Again --raising  5 children  --lotza love--- and the love multiplies-
So--Things could always be worse--Life should be lived with a certain pride--  We know that!  Look at life from your own unique perspective--Make the best of a bad situation---and--  best advice I can think of is---  BE STRONG--
try to ---  BE HAPPY
and--  LIVE WITH LOTZA  LOVE!-but---- stand up and tell your Dr., the situation-if you can find him/or her---coz you need to continue to drive places--

  1. Good morning, sis.

Yes, lots of love in our families, and always something we cam find to be happy about! Sometimes other thoughts just get in the way.

    Great family photos and memories.

Today is International Women's Day! Also, in 'my neck of the woods, it is the beginning of Daylight Savings Time. I awoke at 5:35 AM but DST it was 6:35! Lucky was confused. He didn't have to wake me up, and he got his breakfast early.

Are you sure they are taking away your license? Won't he give you a bit of time to get that thyroid straightened out?

Laundry here today, also. There's always something that needs washing...clothes, blankets, towels and sheets, dishes...and floors.

I will get to it. Lucky is back sleeping already. I'll check back later and tonight.

I love your words of wisdom and your attitude. We will have a great day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Morning Lynda,
Looks like we are going to get a warm sunny day here today. It's going to hit low 60's F. So nice after 4 days of rain. Several areas around us had flooding. And it's supposed to be nice all week, minus rain storms on Wednesday.
Well, don't despair yet, you haven't been told they are taking your license yet. If that were to happen, I think I would want a second opinion from another Dr. and also to retake the test. You might check into that.

That's too bad that Son# 2 was on the way to the airport and then had to return home because of the airplane route change and airplane change.

As always, enjoyed the family photos.

    Have a good one!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  3. Lynda, you have so many reasons to be a proud Mom, just looking at the photo of the family you and Fred created is priceless. Yes indeed, there is a whole lot of love. I wish you could find a way to set your worry aside until you've been officially notified that your driver's license will be taken away. There are degrees of memory loss, and that's part of an evaluation. If you had trouble remembering how to drive, or remembering what stop lights meant, then of course you shouldn't be driving. However, if you couldn't remember some words he gave you, or counting backwards etc., that has nothing to do with driving. I have no idea what your memory test consisted of, so I'm just throwing some ideas out there for you to think about. Relax and play your piano today.

    1. Maureen--thank yu for all your confidence in me--I do appreciate it so much-- No not officially notified yet-- about the drivers thing--but I do agree with you--Why is a memory test so important, to drive?-- --In fact I think I will go in and ask this young Doctor-- I have never ever had an accident with my car--Phil, the Police son said a letter will come in the mail this week telling me I cannot drive anymore-- I am 83 yrs --Is that a factor too?--I dunno--Lynda

  4. Good morning, Lynda. Yes, raising 5 children can bring about lots of love. I sometimes miss those days when they were all here and the busyness of everything. But I don't think I could do it again. We haven't been together with all my children in several years now. I can't even remember the last time, possibly 2021. My daughter and her family have lived in Roanoke, VA for 20 years and since the kids have gotten older, they don't come back to Minnesota very often. I just learned they will be moving to Oklahoma which is, at least, about 400 miles less distance for us to travel - but even that is getting harder with Daisy who isn't too happy in the car anymore. Times do change as we get older, don't they! I do hope that was just an unkind threat by the doctor to make you take that test. No one should lose their license without failing a driver's test! Enjoy your Sunday - it's really warming up here - the snow that fell yesterday is almost all gone! Does Canada go into Daylight Savings Time? We got up so late today, but that's because we had to change the clocks last night. Even Daisy slept in!

I hope that the Dr does not take you right to drive like I said before you will know when you do not feel safe

  6. Hi Lynda,
What a legacy of love you and Fred created in your family. All the kids are successful good people.
Lynda, has anyone officially informed you that you can't drive? I think I'd contact Dr or another Dr to see if you can retake test...or...be given time for thyroid to settle down. Since you just got license in the mail...I'd think there is some kind of redo driving test or something you can appeal.
Pilot son made a trip to airport for nothing it sounds. Hes likely fine with having extra time at home.
    Hugs

Stay strong. Maybe pilot son has ideas about retake on license. I sure hope so.

  7. Hi Lynda! It was sunny in Ohio today! What does Allison think about your driving situation? She is an RN and may have some insight or help you in what to do. Like change doctors, etc. Yes, lotsa love! Hugs!

  8. Beautiful and bountiful family! That's what raising five children looks like. I know as I was #2 of 5 children! Noisy house, helping hands, internal battles, but solidarity when it matters.

Hugs & hopes for the driving situation! I certainly don't want to have my own driving privileges removed... but we don't always have control over when and if some of these things can happen. Chin up!

  9. Wonderful pictures of your big family! I only had 4 kids, but it was so wonderful when we were all together to take a family picture. We only numbered 17 in total! Sadly we are now 16 with the passing of their dad, granddad and my husband! But we did take a family picture 2 years ago with all of the 16 of us.

Bummer for your son to be on his way to work, only to have to turn around and go back home. I didn't realize that pilots stayed with their planes and that route changes could make planes and their pilots lose their planned flights! Interesting!

I am hoping and praying that you don't lose your driving privileges! And I agree with the others who suggested re-taking the test, or changing doctors! Surely you know some doctors who worked with Fred that could help you figure out what you could do? I hope so! Stay positive and strong! We are all rooting for you!
