a busy morning
Good Morning--It is Friday----March 20th--Frances, the Piano tuner is coming this afternoon--Remember him?? The poor piano did not like the move--Pianos do not enjoy being moved-- so-it desperately needs a tuning--He said he will be in this area this afternoon, so will come to tune it.--This morning, Dave is picking me up--for breakfast--AND--- GUESS WHAT?---There is more snow outside--- LORDY BE! AND IT WAS ALL CLEANED UP LAST NIGHT_(_My snow boys were here)--and now there is more--looks like about 6 more inches--to fall on what seems like tons and tons of deep snow--
Man oh man--- We certainly need SPRING in this area-----More shovelling to do-- I shall return--I must move the clothes --the dryer is waiting--Also, the heat needs to be turned up---still winter outside--"Never give up, for sure"-- Also, Son# 2 is winging his way back to Canada from Britain--Pilots get up early--He has already called--He said this morning to me---"Wake-y Wake-y Mom--Rise and Shine"-----Time means nothing to Pilots-
Wise Words I wish I'd Written--
#1Dream big
#2.Don't be Afraid to ask for help
#3. Love begins in the eyes , then quickly goes to the heart, and only sometimes ends up in the brain
And my most favourite part--Blasts from the Part
Fred---loving the newspaper
Below--Fred's Dad, in Lucea, Jamaica
Me--never dreaming I would out-live Fred
Son #2 --the Pilot with Hannah his daughter
So, Dave just called-- will not be coming early--maybe even 12 noon--as the plows have not been around and the snow is deep--Lordy Be! We do need Spring! So I must get on with the day--Remember to be kind to all to-day--Even the darkest cloud has a silver lining--so hang in there!b
Happy Friday Lynda,
ReplyDeleteSnow! Snow and more Snow! Sounds like you are getting everybody's snow.
Nice that you and Dave are going out for breakfast, well maybe lunch now, since it will be later. Both of you be safe out on the snowy roads.
Hope the piano tuner doesn't come when you are still out. Nice that he will be able to tune it for you.
Love the throw back pictures as always!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Jackie

Quote for the day
Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so, too. Voltaire
Good quote -Lynda
DeleteYes We sure need warm weather--Pray for us--LOL--Kidding--but it might help-Lynda-
DeleteWow! You had a busy day. Glad your piano is tuned now. How awesome that Dabe picked you up for breakfast – especially w/more snow. Sheesh, time for Mother Nature to fliop the calendar . . . it’s Spring!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the photo of Hannah w/her Dad. Lovely.
Well, glad you have your piano tuned. Makes playing more enjoyable.
Stay safe w/the snow.
hugs and blessings
barb
No--The piano is not tuned yet-- I think the tuner must be stuck somewhere in the snow--Lynda
DeletebBarb the tuner was here most of the day and he put a new water system in it--sounds so good now-Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteGoodness...all that snow. Honey, if I am ever able to visit you, it won't be in the winter!
It is due to be in the low 60s here today. Most of our snow will be melted by the end of the day.
Love the blasts...adorable baby held by her great grandma, that must be Fred behind you at his desk. Allison and her family, if I'm correct with her name.
I am washing today, also. I now have all the paperwork to get my taxes done, too. Lots of easy exercises to do from my physical therapist.
Now I'm gonna call the tax place to make an appointment. I have given up trying to do it on my own.
I'll come back later, of course. MAKE YOURSELF a great day, too. I like your reminder to ask for help. As I have 'aged' I have learned I sometimes need to do that. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
yes but ask the right person Maggie--Good for you to get the taxes done too-Lynda
DeleteYUour temps sound right "balmy"--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, yes I remember your piano man. He has served you well over the years. Great photos as always. Today will be 96 degrees where I live and then it will down into the 80s. I wish I could share it with you. I don't like the heat and I never thought I would need to use my A/C in March. Electricity is so expensive in California, so I know I will be in for a shock when my electricity bill comes. I hope you had an enjoyable meal with Dave and good conversation. That's almost more important than what you ate. Hang in there, warmer weather is on the horizon.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
96????? Oh man! You are so lucky---It is just plain cold here--and so so cold-=-=Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I'm so sorry you're still deaing with so much snow. We have had 2 warm days and our snow is almost gone. Today it may reach 60 degrees! Not so much sunshine today but we'll probably have our snow gone by end of day. Although the wet ground isn't great - I do love that it's finally warming up. Enjoy your meal with Dave and have a good day. Spring will come to you soon, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteWow! 60 degrees sound pretty good to me----And yes Dave and I had breakfast-Lynda
DeleteWow! Bummer that you got more snow! Today is the first day of Spring! It is sunny and 80 degrees here today! The only thing that I am not looking forward to is mowing! I don't mind doing it - it's just that it takes several hours to do it and I just don't have the energy to start - because once I do - then I have to keep it up each week! My grandson who does it for me sometimes is away at College....so I am on my own. Thinking I will wait until tomorrow or the next day to begin, but I have to do it before I leave next week for CA! Hope your piano gets tuned and you have a nice lunch with your friend Dave!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip--So nice to get away eh??-- Hire someone to help yu with that grass--Yu deserve that--Lynda
DeleteLynda, is that a picture of the piano tuner? I do hope he shows up for you. I also hope you have a nice lunch out with your friend Dave. Also, you look very pretty in that picture of you at the desk!
ReplyDeleteI will get to see a friend from back in Columbus, Ohio tomorrow. She is driving here to my condo, then we are going to Granville, Ohio to look at an art show in a popular mansion called Bryn Du. Then will probably grab lunch in Granville. Only trouble is I kind of get nervous driving in Granville, but I guess I will just go slow. It's not that it's too fast, but it's a long 2 laner, and those make me nervous for some reason (I'm not big on driving in general, but around here I mostly can, as the speed limits are all 35 and 4 laners).
Sorry about the snow. Today is 65 degrees and light rain off and on.
Marti
Marti--Your weather sound so much better than here--Lynda
Deletestill winter in the north--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! It is so nice in Ohio. Speaking of Dave, I asked yesterday if he could take you to run errands. You guys meet up every week anywsys. Just a thought. Hope your piano is happy now. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYes he would take me --but--well, I enjoy driving Just hope I can continue driving--Lynda-
DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteWith even more snow, Im surprised you and Dave are going out to eat AND that your piano tuner is out making rounds. You people are tough.
Lynda, Its 88F here today. A new record. And you got more snow. Crazy weather. Your snow has to stop one day soon.
Enjoy your meal out with Dave. Hope you don't miss your piano tuner.
Hugs
Marge in St.Louis
OhMarge -It -was not the best day--but--tomorrow will be better Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: Can't believe you are still getting so much snow! Mother Nature must be really ticked off with Elliott Lake. Most of our snow is gone - not all but most. I'm glad you have your snow boys to shovel for you. Have you heard anything about your licence yet? Play your piano tonight and relax. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteSO SO much snow-- LOL-- Hope it ends soon --Lynda
DeleteI only got to the blog reading on Saturday morning early! Ember and I were out and about on Friday. It has decided to be "Summer" down here for a few days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), after having blasted us with Winter last weekend. It's "can't plan" time of year, as things weatherwise keep changing.
ReplyDeleteHope Fred made it and you had a fine afternoon!
Oops, I meant I hope Dave made it... my fingers just automatically typed "Fred".
