If you like the hat--wear it!

To-day is Sunday, March 1st-- almost 7am --hard to put my feet on the floor this am--but, the heat is turned up, now, and Lopez and I are down here on the main floor--Sushi is up also--was in the bed with me, but now wandering around upstairs--I was down here in the night and bumped into Sushi making the best of the tiny house, when Lopez was in his crate asleep beside my bed. Remember how I found Sushi , as a tiny kitten, when we lived out at the lake?

So, I did not get to the concert last evening--I wanted to go but just did not have it in me, to go alone. Instead I ended up chatting with Fred's niece in Toronto---She lives alone also--gave me some tips on visiting the Public Library --feels there might be  a lot going on there  for me to look into--

Words of wisdom--#1. Your daily life is your temple and your religion

#2. Never deprive someone of hope!

#3.The more you stretch, the more you can fit in.

So much to think about--so much to try---so so much to do--everyday--so, keep your soul young.--The picture below I remember so well--Emma was a baby-- Her  Mom is holding her--Son#2  has Hannah----and there are lots of dogs--Good Memories!

                                                        Fred as Mr "T"--  below

                                        and Allison with Hannah above

So many memories---So good to look back--and cherish your family and friends--Life begins every morning when you wake up--The only way to have a friend is to be one. Learn as you'd live forever!---and always, put your best foot forward.---

A new day is beginning--and we are an part of it.--Do the best you can--  Smile at someone you meet to-day--It can brighten their day.

  1. Good morning, sis.

Bright and beautiful here, but cold. The temp is only 10F

Love the photos. We need to cherish each other, and photos help us do that.

I don't remember you saying there was a concert last evening, but I knw what you mean by not having it in you. Often I plan to go to karaoke, too, and end up not doing it.

I still am in the process of cleaning out my large storage closet. I have things like folding chairs, suitcases, pet carriers and old afghans sitting in the living area. I will do more (hopefully get it done today) after my pain reliever works.

My mama got me started on personal/spiritual growth. When I came home at age 13 saying my friends didn't like me anymore (you know how an odd number...3 or 5) always gang up on one of them)...mama said, "Honey, if you WANT a friend, you have to BE a friend."

People usually treat you the way you treat them. Unless they are having trouble going on in their lives.

With all that said, I'm gonna play a game on my computer and then get to that closet. Be back later, Lynda. YOU have a great day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Good Morning,
Cold and windy here and they are calling for snow tonight into tomorrow morning and then maybe some sleet and freezing rain thrown in for good measure tomorrow afternoon. I have an important medical test tomorrow afternoon . Luckily, the highway should be cleared by then and hubby is taking me.
Your niece had a good suggestion about the library, you could check out all they offer. I do think if you have a Senior Citizen Center near you, they have activities you could join such as Bingo nights, travel excursions, etc. It might be worth checking out. Maybe your breakfast friend could come to some of those things too so you don't have to go alone. Also, is there a YMCA near you, they have classes you could take, but you do have the join. Just a suggestion.

Whatever you do today, make it a good one!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  3. Good morning Lynda, happy March 1st to you. Getting closer to the 1st day of Spring. You didn't mention snow falling, so that's a good thing. Previously I thought you had mentioned becoming friends with a woman from you grief group. Maybe if another concert comes along, the two of you could go together. Maybe Dave would be interested as well. I hope your day goes well.
