DeleteWell, YU are pretty amazing also-Lynda
DeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteFriday breakfast with Dave. That is nice. Do you usually meet at the same restaurant?
Not sure what kind of A/C you have but could you maybe just up the temperature so it doesn't kick on so much at night? That way it won't have to work so hard in the morning to cool it down. Just a thought.
It's looking like it's going to be a cloudy day with a small chance for showers here. But, still pretty warm.
Enjoy your Friday, whatever the weather!
Hugs,
Jackie
Jackie--itis a portable AC unit--seems to do the job--Dave and I meet at Andrew's restaurant--and I will "UP" the temp --= good idea--Lynda

ReplyDeleteHOT weather coming here, so I know the a/c will be working.
LOVE the photo of Sushi. Isn’t it a sweet memory of Emma being a wee baby. And love the photo of you, Fred, Allison and Sophia and Eric.
LOL! That is too funny . . . one relaxed Shepherd indeed. and of course, the last photo is wonderful!
Glad to hear from you. DH had his pacer put in yesterday, so I was MIA, too. He’s doing great!

barb
Dave is a good guy--Yes I enjoy having a meal out as we chat--I agree--Look at Emma in my arrms--How did she grow up so fast??--in Uivetrsity now--Lynda
DeleteYou both are brave to get at pacer in--but--he will be with yu longer now--so impant!
DeleteI get what you mean about if you don't do it early, the day gets busy and it doesn't get done.....and I not just talking about a blog! So many things on my "to do" list each day! Just seems like I have to put them back on the list to do the next day! Right now I am at my lake house in the Ozarks. Drove down Tuesday with both cats in the car with me. Just a 3 hour drive. I put it all in my last response to your Wednesday blog....but it was late at night and so you probably didn't see it. I hope you have a good day! And good luck with the thermostat! I have trouble programming mine too....so I just turn it up or down, whenever I feel too warm or too cold! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSandra--I do the same--As Mom used to say, I do it by "By guess and by golly""--LOL---or make it up as you go--But that wee AC unit does the job!!--Good for you to drive down in the dark--Yu are one brace soul--I am impressed--Lynda
Deletevery warm day here to-day--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda, and happy Friday! Your photos always remind me what a full life you have lived. So much LOVE in your life. I second the admiration for that photo of Sushi... what a cutie! But those lovely lives take a LOT of effort to keep on moving. Good luck with today's allotment of "to-do"s and love and hugs to your pets, too!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww Thanks Barb--The dog and cat are my friends--Fred would be upset that he is replaced with 2 animals--LOL--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis!
ReplyDeleteWe have mixed clouds and sun. It's already 80F here and due to be in the mids 80s, but it won't be as humid as it's been.
I am going soon to get an estimate on a car part that needs replacing (bumper cover). My insurance company wants me to get that from the repair place they were wanting me to use. That place was making me wait 'til the end of August. I'll get the estimate from them and take it to a different place.
Life can get complicated/
Re the wise words. I believe this is the whole quote: Men work from sun to sun, but a woman's work is never done."
I know you will love being out with Dave, and I wish I could be on that dock! The pets...German and Sushi are absolutely adorable. I remember Tess and another who's name has escaped me. I could have told you yesterday!
Sigh. On with our day...I will be back later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
aWwwww --Maggie--WE do what we ,must, to survive!---Did you get the car part??--Which probably costs a fortune---Our pets keep us sane--very hot day here to-day--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Yes, it seems if we don't get things done in the mornings the day kind of takes care of itself! I completely understand what you mean when you say Fred was always there with answers. Last night I was trying to open the new Guinea Pig food my daughter ordered - it said Pull Here but I couldn't figure out what to pull. I had to ask Tom to come up and help me! And today my tablet didn't turn on. He fidled with it and eventually got it starting. Makes me think how much I appreciate that he's here! I'm sorry you lost your person. How nice that you are having breakfast with Dave again today. I hope it's a good day for you! Oh, and we turn up the A/C at night too. Haven't had to turn it on yet but I have had the fan running. Soon, cause it's going to be in the 90's today and most of next week!
ReplyDeleteKathy it has been very hot here--I do like it--still will go out to Andrew's pace later to-day--Yes Fred knew everything--at least I thought he did-- He was my rock--but--he left me here--If I had only known, I probably would've gone with him--guess that is why he never told me--probably thought I needed to be back here with the kids--The whole thing tho was dam hard--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, I missed you yesterday, but I do understand that if it doesn't get done in the morning, it may not get written. Happy to hear that you're having breakfast with Dave. Special photo of Sushi today. I set my A/C control at 78 and leave it there. Next week we're going to have temps in the mid 90s and mid 70s at night. Europe has broken all records with their high temperatures and most homes and businesses to not have A/C because they've never needed it. They've had many deaths, particularly in France.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
Maureen from California
Wow Maureen very hot eh in Europe--Yes I worried all day yesterday that I hadn't blogged--but it seems to have turned out OK__ I miss all of yu when I don't blog---- Nice of you to write--I heard about the heat in Europe--Lynda
