DeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
That's awful about the wildfires up your way. I know they are talking about it on the news and how the smoke is drifting down to the US and affecting air quality. There have been so many of those wildfires this summer there and in the US.
Glad for Friday. It's been another busy week so I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow and having a relaxing day. At least that's the plan. May try to get out and visit a few stores tomorrow since it was rainy last weekend but they are calling for rain again this weekend. (sigh)
Anyway, wishing you a Fabulous Friday!
Hugs,
Jackie

Alicia--It worked--your comments-- n-so happy to see you on here Lynda--
DeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteWe are still under a heat advisory. It's due to be 93F again, but is only 76F now.
I checked online. A great part of the world is experiencing this heat. All North America, Europe and the Middle East. A large part of these 'heat domes' is 'our' fault: Burning fossil fuels and deforestation have increased greenhouse gases, causing the baseline global temperature to rise.
It reminds me of the yucky things ancient civilizations like the Mayas and Aztecs did that caused them to fade into history.
Luckily, I don't need to go anywhere...unless someone needs me to take them somewhere. I plan to just do some chores around here, take a nap, love on Lucky and play games on my computer. I do have A/C but don't need it on yet.
You didn't mention plans. Have a great day. I will come back earlier than usual to see if you have added anything to your short and sweet blog. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie-- starting to heat up here again--=no smoke tho--but Allison has that smoke in OHIO--Plans?--well, a wee nap for sure--Lynda
DeleteSure enough! Soon as I posted this, 'Becca asked me to take her to the bank and the libirary! For some reason...I can't say, "No."
ReplyDeleteAww Maggie-- You have too big a heart--so now yu have to help another person--=Poor yu!-Lynda
DeleteGood Friday morning to you, Lynda. Hopefully you have a milder day today. I am enjoying the cooler temps here, but it will be short lived as it will be back in the 90s next week. There are so many fires burning in Canada, and I've been reading about terrible fires in Spain and near Paris. Humans are to blame for this climate change. The US had been really doing well in using renewable energy and then the man who lives in the White House is bringing back fossil fuels, coal burning plants and the like. He doesn't care because it's making him richer. Oh well, not much we can do about that. Whatever your plans are for the day, I hope you have an enjoyable time.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Maureen that man who lives in the White House has got to go!!---Canada has so many trees--bush etc---but why os it burning??-- The air was yellow here one day--Terinble!! Lynda
DeleteBe nice to see that smoke go-Lynd
DeleteGlad the smoke hasn't reached you yet. Hasn't arrived here, down midway through the US, yet. The Western half of my state has its own collection of wildfires to battle, and sometimes it affects the air here. Today it's not showing up, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteHoping for a good Friday and weekend ahead for you!
- Barb (OKM)
Hi Barb--Alicia is back--so happy to see her--=We have had very bad smokey days here--Lynda
Deleteextremely hot here also--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. They say it will be at least 95 degrees today and the humidity is up. So we went to Costco this morning and when I came home I put the A/C up a bit. Little Daisy is no dummy, she lays by the vents that the air is coming out of. Must feel good with her thick coat. She doesn't like being brushed but I may have to do that again today to help her cool off a bit. Yes, it was very good that Bryan agreed to give up his fight for any kind of custody. He still interferes but Lauriellen is getting more determined to set the mood. And the older the boys get the more they decide what they want. When my children's father left us he just kind of disappeared. They were all old enough to connect with him without my interference but it seemed he was happy to walk away. Now, 33 years later, he thinks he should be giving them advice - which they don't take very seriously! Today would have been our 56th anniversary - but Tom and I have been married 31 years now and he's so good to me and to all my children! I hope you stay cool today! And I hope you're not too affected by the wild fires! The smoke has moved away from us but it's too hot to hang out outside. Have a good day.
