Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteSaturdays are good days for sleeping in, especially if it's dreary or rainy outside. You, Sushi and Lopez had the right idea. I also slept in and it felt wonderful!
Love Dr. Seuss! The Grinch who stole Christmas is still one of my favorite holiday animated cartoon shows. I watch every year and have since I was a child.
Weather is not too bad here right now other than being pretty hot and humid. We are supposed to have storms this evening and then again tomorrow.
Hope your day is a good one!
Hugs,
Jackie
Good morning, sis. It's only a light blue sky today. We have wild fires and their smoke here in Minnesota, too. The temp is 76F now but will reach the mid 80s (Hallejulia! Not the mid 90s!). Tomorrow thunder storms are predicted.
ReplyDeleteLucky let me sleep 'til almost 8! I am surprised Lopez can be up so long and not need to pee! Lucky wants his food immediately, so he gets it after the coffee starts perking and I have taken my thyroid.
I need to go to the Emergency Room today. It's not a real emergency, but the hospital is right next door and the Veterans Adminisitration pays. I just need help with a bandage. Almost a week ago, I ripped some skin on my left arm near the elbow. I won't go into how it appened. I sprayed it (bleeding all down my arm) with antiseptic spray then tried to cover it with bandaids. No go. I got a larger non-stick pad, put that on and wrapped a stretchy cover round and round. It needs changing. And I want pros to do it this time. I'm afraid there will still be lots of blood.
As we age our wounds seem to take longer to heal.
You are so lucky to have your own appliances in your home.
The blasts are great! Love seeing the kids, the pets, your sons and Fred!
On with the day. I will come back here later. Have a great one! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
I love Dr. Seuss! I used to read all his books to my Kg students as well as my own four children. I have a plague in my hallway that is from Dr. Seuss -" Don't cry because it's Over, Smile because it Happened". I like to think of my 50 year marriage to my DH.....as he died just 7 months after we celebrated by renewing our vows and had all the kids and grandkids at a special dinner party......
ReplyDeleteI also liked your comment about feeling old. I don't feel old, even though I'm 79! I am so thankful for my good health and thank God for all of my blessings! (Even the blessing of being able to go back to bed if I want to!) I haven't done it very often, but being retired gives one that flexibility! LOL! Hope you have a lovely day in spite of the that misty fog or hopefully not smoke!

ReplyDeleteI worry about all the smoke in your air is it bothering your breathing or are you doing ok I know that the rain will help as long as it does not cause flooding great words today
I also got up at my normal time and went back to bed I was just being lazy

Good morning Lynda, hopefully it is showers and that may help to clear the air of smoke. In the coming days you should wear a mask when you are outside. Depending on what's burning, it can release toxins into the air. Speaking of smoke, the man living in the White House went on a rant yesterday afternoon about the smoke from the Canadian wildfires coming down into the States. He is threatening to raise tariffs on Canada because the Prime Minister is not controlling the smoke. Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous? I'm not sure what he expects the Prime Minister to do. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend.

Happy Saturday, Lynda! It is high 80’s but cloudy in Ohio. The smoke is better today but under a warning til midnight. I heard it may be back next week. I went out to the amish market this morning. Got produce, honey and salsa. I love Saturdays, market day. I just washed the bed and prepping to paint a small bathroom in a day or so. I guess the pilot was tired. He will be up looking for good food or McDonald’s soon. LOL! You have a great day! Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt's Kathy. I LOVE Dr. Seuss. I bought so many of his books for my children. He had such a good grasp on reality. Yes, I was very lucky to find a man who treats me so well, at least most of the time. He's been so patient with me through all these surgeries and all my challenges. Today I feel pretty good, had a good night's sleep and my leg/back feels a little better. Hopefully the stretches and exercises I'm doing are helping. I love your photos. And I do remember how much Fred helped you every day. Tom is still doing the vacuuming for me even though I'm healed enough to do it myself. Have a wonderful day - oh, it's cooled down a bit here too and our smoke has moved on for now.
