Being strong is not always easy---

Good morning--mid morning---   Later than late posting--- ---  You remember that beautiful cat tree that Himself put together--?--Sushi will not go near it--

In fact , she is hiding in our closet--I have been moving it   , here , there and everywhere.  She continues to hide-Poor girl eh?--  So I have some questions for yu all who are cat lovers---Will she eventually use it?---  I placed it beside the one cat tree she had--She still hid----would not come out--so, I put it in the hallway where , if she sat on it, she could see us all down in the living room-- -Nope--would not come out---So now. it is across the room from the old cat tree in front of a tall mirror-- and--She is STILL in the closet-- Should I just leave it?--Will she eventually go to the new one?---  What do you think?--I put the old cat tree back where it was in front of the window in the study here--and she is in the closet--STILL! 

Other than that, life is good----Himself is happy to be home here--It is HAIR DAY -and to-day the fabulous Hair Lady,  is going to put highlights in my greyish brown hair--Hopefully Himself will be kind to Lopez--while I am there--

How are you  to-day?--  It is quite mild here outside, but Friday is going to be a Humdinger of a cold day--- That is to-morrow-----and snow on Sunday---  Lord love a Duck! --just when I have all the walks clear--Wouldn't you know it ?

Did anyone tell you when you were young, that your voice could change the world?---I never realized how important one voice who is positive---kind, and provocative, could help others---a voice who is not afraid to speak up, when she sees something is wrong--or someone is hurt---sees a positive action--and she says so----

       You know, I was always the meek and mild girl---afraid to open my mouth---would run away from  chaotic life problems--- I am learning now to speak up---Most of us do "not want to upset the Apple Cart", as Mom used to say---It takes a life time doesn't it to be the person you want to be!-

-To-day is a new day--- and here we are--a part of it---I hope you are strong to-day---I know that you probably already are---

Everything happens as it should!

Good day to yu all---  I just dropped Himself at his Day Program--He seems happy going in there-- Scott, a male Nurse met us at the door--and Vicky , who runs the program, came out to greet him-That program is so good for him---- 

I now have a Mouse, but no mouse pad for under the mouse, so the typing flies everywhere--I went to 3 stores in town--no mouse pads available, so--- I just ordered one from Amazon-- They say it will be here to-morrow-- which is amazing service.

My 95 year old husband put this cat tree up last evening--all by himself--When I see that, there cannot be much wrong with him--It came n a large box---all in pieces--- considerably less money than if I bought one all assembled from the pet store---- It seems quite nice!  I want to place it where Sushi can look down at us all in the living room--so she will not be so alone--I had asked Son#3 if he could assemble it--but he said, "Did you see all the screws and bolts that came with it?---No Way!"---

--(I didn't blame him!)--  but--  I saw Himself begin to  undo the huge box, and before long, I went up here to the study, and there it was all together--- Son #3 said, "Holy Crap----  How on earth did a 95 yr old do that?"--(That made  the 95 year old VERY proud!)

To-morrow, I think I will manage this Mouse better  without the mouse pad--It seems a bit easier even now---It  just takes practice! ----- Do you feel like a "SOMEBODY" to-day---- a special , unique soul---an amazing individual----that, if it wasn't for you, the world would not be  the place it is.-????---  Think of all the animals , women have in their home--- the children--- and   how your houses have become a -- special safe place to be--because of the  women who make it  way--

Before I "blabber" on here---  You must know, that we have mild above average  temperatures for this time of year----no snow is falling--altho I hear it will snow to-morrow.

Attitude ----- We do have attitude---and--we are not that old-----are we??

  Get that smile on---- and  be the best you can be to-day----and--I'll see you all to-morrow--------

 Good afternoon is better to wish you all--at this time--I have had computer troubles-----The computer guy just left--took away the track pad--so, now I use a mouse---- I will miss that track pad for sure--but---  it seemed to just conk out--The mouse I am using now, is driving me crazy --but--at least it works---- -

So--I missed all of you----You have become part of my life ---and---- Other than no mouse pad here---- everything seems awkward---but working---

  Lordy Be!!  We must be strong----I didn't give up the ship this morning--, Apple care   tried to help me, but ended up causing more of a problem as they turned off my WiFi--by mistake--and then I had no mouse--could not type--So--I called Son#2 who is very computer literate , and everything he suggested did not work--- so--mucho "dollaros" --later,--- I am back in business-with a keyboard --which seems  cumbersome--

To-day I finally feel positive about this set up--  At least it works--thanks to the computer guy----and some $$$$

My house is a mess--altho, Sadie was here and wiped down all the counters in the kitchen--This was before the Computer problems--

Do whatever---on Family Day-

 -This is a holiday--  which means, one can get to sleep in--and I did--sorta--- I stayed in bed till 6am--I also checked this week out--I have no obligations--'cept my hair--- all this week---  Of course there is  no Day Program at the Lodge for Himself----and I am hoping that Sadie might  come--

What are your plans for to-day?--President's Day--or--Family Day--- It's kinda nice to not have any plans---just  "wing it"----We have minus 23 C  weather--VERY COLD -- It will probably warm up later- --Beau Has been out------but not little Lopez -yet---  He is so close to the ground---  I'm hoping it might warm up a bit before he goes out--

Son #2  flew to L.A. last night-- The other Pilot who flew with him, was his buddy from High School--First time they have ever flown together--  These 2 boys used to sit on our sofa and watch TOP GUN--over and over and over--They knew the whole movie, word for word, by heart-They even wore "Top Gun" uniforms---while watching that movie--and,  now working for the same Airline-----  Isn't that a hoot??---I wish I could post the picture he sent me, of the 2 of them in the cockpit-- It is precious---- 

- I thought the above picture  so cute---  It's okay to be "weird"---In fact, it's actually better than OK--It's pretty awesome--To-day  you can be generous, be Kind, and,  always choose LOVE----

It feels great to not "HAVE TO" do anything---  I feel like dancing----acting crazy silly--  This does not happen very much-- The only thing I really HAVE  to do is-----  BUY MILK----and that can wait till this afternoon---  Woo Woo!-- 

OK--- Maybe  you  need a laugh?--  I saw the following meme--and I broke down laughing up a storm------  see if you do---????--------your smile for to-day----you gotta love John Wayne---

And, remember all those cowboy shows we used to watch?--" Gene Autry"--"Dale Evans"--"Hop-along Cassidy-"---The "Love Ranger" and then there was "Tonto"--?????---  and---- They all rode horses---  The good guys had white horses--the bad guys had black ones----Cowboys and Indians-

I see snow falling outside--It must've warmed up somewhat, so out I go AGAIN--with the 2 boys--Just think----- What could be better than a whole day to do whatever------

Smile at someone you meet----

It is Sunday---  The "Lords Day"--that's what we used to say--I used to think that because Sunday belongs to the Lord  (well-sorta)  that I could do nothing--just veg-ALL DAY-----doesn't happen however--

We had snow falling all night--- another 105 inches --- NO No  NO!---Of course I am exaggerating-- maybe 4 inches fell--on top of the other 12 that fell yesterday--so---- I was out shovelling----early--- and--then the snow plough went by and ploughed about 4 ft into our drive----so, I gave up, and came back inside-- but---- Son#1, just came with his big Kaboda ---- so, now we are good----

How is your Sunday going?--  

Don't forget, we get another Holiday to-morrow! Yeah!!----- I just counted the days until the end of February--11 more days-- and then MARCH---and then APRIL---  and we all know that April showers bring --MAY FLOWERS__Life is good! 

big Beau---  well, not really-but, it looks just like him!---  and he does bark at nothing --a lot---  but, that's Ok---He is a good boy--and I know he hears more than I do---

It is my Sister's Birthday -to-day-- my younger sister--so, to-day is a special day for her--I remember when my older sister and I used to push her around in her carriage-and I was so excited when she became a part of our family--

I hope to-day is a wonderful day in your part of the world-- Make it a good day--Do something that YOU want to do--If you are alone-you don't  have to be sad--Do your own thing--

Son#2, the Pilot is flying to LA this evening---  and  guess who the other "CREW" member is--- his best friend from high school---  They both decided  way back when, to become pilots, after watching "TOP GUN" at least 200 times---- Now they  work for the same airline, and this evening, are in the CockPit---TOGETHER---Funny eh??---- 

No Sadie , the cleaning Lady, (who is really me!)_-to-day ---hopefully to-morrow---- but she may not come, as it is a Holiday-and if it is snowin g AGAIN---- for sure I may not see her!---We shall see----Lord love a Duck!---

Yes, there are days we all need many hugs--I also worry about everything --(as you all know)-Dad used to say, when I would cry at the drop of a hat,  "There she goes again"---I was known as "a Worry Wart"---I can't remember  people ever trying to calm me down---  as the sayings below----

Monday is FAMILY DAY in CANADA---  and President's Day in the U.S.--but--the very best part of to-day---

It's a HOLIDAY--- a day that we can do whatever we want to do---like-----

GOOD MORNING---  It is minus 22C  outside-- sunny-- EXTREMELY COLD----- Big Beau was out with me--did nothing-- ran back inside--then wee tiny Lopez was out in his Parka--  did nothing--ran back inside--did nothing-----  so,  that tells me , that it is too cold  to be out there.

I must tell you that  the person who had OPEN HEART SURGERY is back home--- Poor fellow---  his surgery was Monday--He returned home yesterday--Friday-with nothing good to say about the whole experience--I reminded him, that in 5 days , the DRs repaired his damaged heart--a huge deal---but--- no matter what I said, he did not enjoy the experience -- He told me he did not like the hospital--nor was he fond of the staff--or the food--especially the soups--said he was fed a lot of soup--- Poor guy eh???--And he is sore he told me, and still in a lot of pain--It made me decide to cut out the cream in my coffee, to stop buying ice cream--and cookies --and cakes----and butter-----and almost everything I eat  right now. Lord love a Duck!--I think this guy could get a job in a grocery store warning everyone what could happen if they  do not change their diet!----Poor guy eh??----  This man has no medical experience at all--so, it must've been a shock for him to experience  the medical procedure he had to to go through-

It really is wonderful to wake up this morning and not HAVE to go anywhere--that you can "loll" around a tad slower----no pressure--

                                                          This is to-day--I hope!

So----What are your plans for to-day?---hopefully--no stress--perhaps be a bit crazy--dance--???  read a book????----visit someone  who had heart surgery--or --just do nothing?????---

 and--You know what??? Himself woke me up at 5am--- Himself, was en route , back to bed from the bathroom -He was mumbling, but I caught  a few words here and there-- something about someone clearing snow from the driveway---  I had been "lolling" in bed, thinking that I must get "up and at -er" soon --

--but----when I heard "SNOW" and "DRIVEWAY"--I jumped up--ran to the front, and there was Son#1, in his Kabota, clearing the snow in OUR driveway-- --  Lord love a Duck! What a great guy eh?--And, he must've been out there for some time, as the driveway was gorgeous--  I could see where he had gone back and forth many times-- It was magnificent!-- Son#1 had saved me many hours of work--

                                                    You really got to love that guy!    ---=-and--I SURE DO!  

The  man who just had heart surgery is on his way home to-day--Amazing what Drs do isn't it?? 

So--How is your day going?--You realize that we are midway through February?----  then there is only March--and then---------  THERE IS SUMMER!   

March is kite flying month---  My Mom used to say, "GO FLY YOUR KITE"------She really meant, I don't believe yu so -----I never ever flew a kite--but, it always amazed me how high a kite could go , on a windy day--Speaking of "flying"--

I hope that your day is  going well----- On a score of 1 to 10--How would you rate to-day?? I think , that to-day  is for sure a #1---I mean----  Looking out and seeing the Driveway free of snow---  It was like being in Heaven!!

I best open the door and let Sadie in--, that cleaning Lady, in--who is really me and then  the dogs must get out AGAIN and then I must get back into town to pick up Himself---There is no rest for the wife----

Monday is FAMILY DAY --in Canada--Feb 19th -a very Canadian Holiday to hug all your family members--remember the ones who have passed and celebrate the ones who are with us--
