DID YOU KNOW________?????

and--You know what??? Himself woke me up at 5am--- Himself, was en route , back to bed from the bathroom -He was mumbling, but I caught  a few words here and there-- something about someone clearing snow from the driveway---  I had been "lolling" in bed, thinking that I must get "up and at -er" soon --

--but----when I heard "SNOW" and "DRIVEWAY"--I jumped up--ran to the front, and there was Son#1, in his Kabota, clearing the snow in OUR driveway-- --  Lord love a Duck! What a great guy eh?--And, he must've been out there for some time, as the driveway was gorgeous--  I could see where he had gone back and forth many times-- It was magnificent!-- Son#1 had saved me many hours of work--

You really got to love that guy!    ---=-and--I SURE DO!

The  man who just had heart surgery is on his way home to-day--Amazing what Drs do isn't it??
So--How is your day going?--You realize that we are midway through February?----  then there is only March--and then---------  THERE IS SUMMER!
March is kite flying month---  My Mom used to say, "GO FLY YOUR KITE"------She really meant, I don't believe yu so -----I never ever flew a kite--but, it always amazed me how high a kite could go , on a windy day--Speaking of "flying"--

I hope that your day is  going well----- On a score of 1 to 10--How would you rate to-day?? I think , that to-day  is for sure a #1---I mean----  Looking out and seeing the Driveway free of snow---  It was like being in Heaven!!

I best open the door and let Sadie in--, that cleaning Lady, in--who is really me and then  the dogs must get out AGAIN and then I must get back into town to pick up Himself---There is no rest for the wife----
Monday is FAMILY DAY --in Canada--Feb 19th -a very Canadian Holiday to hug all your family members--remember the ones who have passed and celebrate the ones who are with us--

                                        ONE MORE THOUGHT____DID YOU KNOW------??????

  1. It's Kathy. What a wonderful surprise to have your son clearing your driveway for you. Bless his heart to do it without your having to ask. I can't even imagine 16 inches! We have sunshine today which makes the very cold day almost manageable. I love the first meme - yes, we can do this! I just got done talking to my daughter with the 2 autistic boys. This morning Jake, age 5, had such a tantrum that he scratched her several times. She can't seem to get anyone to understand how very bad all this has become. Today I'm going to search for a child psychologist near her who might be able to get to the bottom of all this. Jake does not want to talk to his dad AT ALL - I think the dad is filling Jake's head that the boys will be living with him soon. Such a jerk! Enjoy your day today and stay warm!

  2. Lynda, you getting 16 inches is like we were last year. We've been really lucky so far this year. Your son is a keeper, that's for sure. He knows his mama shouldn't be even trying to handle all that snow.

I thought it was funny how you skipped over spring. If I ever said something was funny, my mom would say, "Funny ha ha or funny peculiar." At our age we do find, like a meme I say (maybe here), "When I open my mouth, my mother comes out."
Today (counting 1 as the highest number), my day is working out to be about a 2. Sadie will do a brief visit (maybe it's her clone), I am getting a grocery delivery, will squeeze in a nap as I got up very early today.
I saved the almond meme to share. A Webmd.com newsletter I got in my email recently said people who eat a small bunch of nuts every day live longer. It listed almonds as one kind. Walnuts are also very healthy. Good to know this kind of stuff.
Have you rescheduled your hair, sis, or are you just skipping it this week?
    Will check this later.
    I just had a thought. If we lived closer, we could have 2 of us helping Sadie in one house, then another. We could get her chores done a lot quicker. ;-) {{{HUGS}}}

It is a warm and sunny day at the beach in central FL….actually the mosquitos are buzzing about…never saw them in Feb. before….global warming has them confused, I suppose.
Hope that your day continues to be upbeat! ❤️ Eissa7 (Karen)

  5. It's snowing really hard here. Started about 10:00am. Weather man said maybe 2 inches, but as I look out at my yard and deck, we are getting more than 2! It is a wet heavy looking snow. Trees and bushes are all covered and it looks very pretty right now - but there is no visibility - like a whiteout which means I will not be driving to a friend's house for dinner. Oh well, I have plenty to eat here and I wouldn't want to take a spill and become the next casulty in my family. My 2nd granddaughter broke her ankle in a soccer game last night....she is only 13. My oldest granddaughter is home from the hospital and is doing much better....she did have pneumonia on top of everything else and is sad because she can't return to school for another week and it is her senior year. I replied you your yesterday's blog this morning. Not sure if you got a chance to read it or not, but I am so glad that you are having a good day today!

  6. Good evening Lynda,
We got some flurries here in Michigan. I am so happy that your son'
came and plowed your driveway. What a relief. My hubby does ours
but when it gets really cold, and windy we have the neighbor come and plow the long part of driveway and he does the back between the house and garage. Hubby brought a new blower (the old one was 23 years old and it was hard for him to handle). I told hubby since he brought the new blower it probably won't snow now. It is
28 degrees, and windy. I did not walk today. I went and visited my sister in the nursing home. Being there makes me glad that I still have good health. Take care and know that I read your letters I sometimes don't have time to comment.
    Your Friend Bev.

  7. Hi Lynda, Marge in St.Louis
YAY son and Kabota!!!! He must have really gotten out there EARLY and I love that you didn't have to ask him for help. I'm so glad you won't have to go out and even have to try messing with all that snow.
It's cold (under freezing), windy and snowing. Ugh. I'm so not a fan of snow. We have about 4 inches but in a large Metropolitan area that is very car dependent...snow causes havoc. Predicting temps in the teens tonight.
What handsome/pretty grandchildren you two have. Enjoy upcoming Family Day. Monday is President's Day in the US.
I need to get going and keep Sadie moving. The snow is pretty on the bushes, trees etc but I hope it melts SOON.
    Hugs and Blessings

  9. Hi Lynda: How nice of your son to come by and do so much clearing of the driveway. Must have taken a while to do. And if he still has the restaurant, I'm sure he will be up late tonight! That would've been way too much for you. Sounds like a good day and himself should be in a good mood with going to the lodge. Has Lopez recovered from his beef treat yet? Have a relaxing night. Hugs Brenda

My husband just got home in it from taking Kloi the next town over for her grooming. How is Lopez feeling? You are such a good mom to go out in that blizzard to get meds for him.
