Dancing all day--- if the time is "NOW"

Good Day--- and--it is a good day-so far--altho--  Dad used to say-"Don't count your Chickens before they hatch"---  We have no sun--but the temperature is  OK-not too cold--  Himself is at his Day Program---  WITH ONE HEARING AID IN ONE EAR__so, it should go better than  ever-- because he will be able to hear---  I took the other Hearing Aid, to the Hearing clinic and hopefully if she can clean out that one, he will eventually be able to wear 2 "Aids"--right now he is telling me that a bone in his one ear has deteriorated   BUT----  WHAT DOES HE KNOW EH?--------  We shall see what we shall see! I think he is telling me a lot of malarcky----(I just made that word up)

Too much drama going on about these Hearing Aids from Himself-----  Hopefully  that  one wee small Hearing Aid, can be fixed--
I tried to watch some of that football game- last night---Did any of you watch it?  I must be getting really really old -- because it seemed kind of senseless to me-- all these men, crashing into each other-----wearing a great deal of padding to protect them from injuries-and for what???-----I suppose in my younger years , I might not have thought this way-- Eventually I changed the channel-- --I guess I am too old for all that--

Long long ago, I was a Cheer Leader at many football games---  I knew all the cheers--and loved jumping around the field , performing them-- I knew nothing about football, nor did I care to learn--It was all about the fun----I  certainly have changed a lot since that time--

Sadie is here (who is really me)_chomping at the bit to vacuum, before heading back to get  Himself--plus I shall stop in and see if the other Hearing Aid is now working----

I hope that your day is going well--Think of how fortunate we are to be a part of to-day--

I hope you hear the music----- and dance a bit--No matter what age we are--WE CAN DANCE!-

--and -no matter  what time of day--if you have this clock--

  1. Hi, Lynda. Malarcky is a real word...I just don't know if we're spelling it right.
I saved the George Burns quote. Thanks for that.
Dancing? I can't do that yet. So hard to stand still at karaoke when I want to dance to the tunes. I don't feel quite steady enough unsupported yet, though.
You asked how I'm healing with my fractured pelvis. Better every day, but after days without, I had to take Tylenol this morning. I'm back to my therapy exercises. I don't know if that's helping or if I have been overdoing them...thus the need for the Tylenol.
It will be great if Himself's hearing aid works again. I have never cleaned mine, just put them in the charger. My only problem is that now and then I lose one.
It's below freezing here, but beautiful blue sky with just a bit of a chilly breeze.
Nothing much going on here. A bit of Sadie stuff, of course. Seems like there is always something that needs cleaning!
Trust your errands go well. It will be nice to get out knowing Himself is safe and happy.
    Hope we'll find out about the hearing aid next blog, sis. Have a great day...sing, dance, read, rest, play the piano. {{{HUGS}}}

  2. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. My mom always said Malarkey. I looked it up - it means insincere or foolish talk! I think that word could be used in a lot of ways these days - the whole world is full of Malarkey! I'm glad himself went to the center AND is wearing one hearing aid. I love the quote about walking away from the drama - we are trying so hard to do that. But a lot of my drama is coming from my daughter with the 2 little boys and I really don't know how to help her! It's totally beyond my parenting experience to parent children with Autism. Yes, they are so very cute but they are also acting out so badly since their father has been calling them every day. They don't like him and don't want to talk to him. It's so very sad! But we take one day at a time, don't we!

  3. Sounds like Himself has to have some reason for the decisions he makes about his hearing aides. BUT good that he is at least wearing one!

I just watched the ads and the ½ time show. Not interested in football!

Dancing like nobody is watching! Sun is out, so feel energized!

    Love that clock. Yup . . . . always NOW O’Clock!

  4. For what? Glory and money! My daughter in law left off the family watch-chat as the game went into overtime, about 9:30 p.m. our time. She needed to get up early on Monday.

My fellow mum in law and I exchanged comments about of all things... the grass stains on the uniforms! LOL!

    Have a great Monday!

  5. Hi Lynda: I turned the channel on to see when the halftime show would start. It showed about 5 minutes left before that but it took forever for the show to start. Don't care about football and have never watched. Hope the hearing aids get sorted out. Didn't know there was a bone in the ear! Liked the saying above about "The comes a time in life......" . Hope himself is in a good mood tonight. Hugs Brenda

  6. Hi Lynda, Marge in St.Louis. Busy day and I'm very late acknowledging today's blogs. Thanks for the great inserts.
As far as Super Bowl...I found the half time show uninteresting...only watched for a few minutes.
    Busy day.
Glad himself is wearing a hearing aid again. My himself has another audiologist apt tomorrow. His hearing loss is described as profound and even with aids it's not good. One day at a time.
    Hope your day went well.
    Hugs

  7. Love the clock at the end of your blog! One of the blogs about decluttering I have been following has the mantra "Take it there now" - and I have been trying to do that ..... and I find I am putting stuff away instead of leaving it somewhere and having to deal with it later. Kind of like I think to myself "do it now" and I am getting way more stuff done and my house stays picked up better than it used to! I watched the whole Super Bowl. Did not enjoy the half time show. Looked like a circus to me....but I am old and did not like all the suggestive dancing....but I am old! hahaha! I was actually going through a lot of my mom's old paper work to get rid of boxes of it. She has been gone for almost 4 years so it is time to get it out of my basement. I have enough paperwork of my own down there to take care of - so sitting with paperwork and kind of watching the game made it go faster for me! Lastly - I smiled when I pictured you as a cheerleader and dancing! How wonderful that you did that and have great memories of doing that in your youth! Kudos to you!

  10. Does it help to unplug your computer? Sometimes that happens, it needs a quick reset. The game was on at my sons, I didn’t pay attention, was talking and laughing with others. We went home before the halftime began, I watched HGTV the rest of the night.
