Be the "EXTRA" in the ordinary---

Good Sunday morning--cold here--but I see some sun trying to peek out between the clouds--   The Lunar New Year in our house, is over--but--it does go on and on for more days in the rest of the world-

I feel kinda "Chinese Food-ed" " out--- but, those dishes we ordered are going to be  seen here, back on the dinner menu, this evening---

Son #2, the Pilot, is sitting in Montreal, waiting to fly the big Bird, to Brazil this evening- Now, guess where he had breakfast??

---There is the food, as he  gets on the train, to go back to his hotel-
                                                                  from----     "MacDonalds"

The dogs---the German, and Lopez, the Chihuahua, have been out---I hear there are large wild, animals lurking in the bush around here--kinda looking for something to eat-----and I hear they look
something like this---a Canadian Lynx-----Lord love a Duck--- I must remember to take along my shot gun---ONLY KIDDING---- AS IF I HAD A SHOT GUN!--------but----maybe----I ---should----??????

So----how is "your" day going?-- Did you see Taylor Swift's plane , rushing back to the U.S.?----are you all ready for the big football game this evening?------(As if I am going to watch it!--but---again, you never know!)--

-Maybe watching a football game  might make me relax--and maybe, it just might lower my blood pressure---or-----send it sky high--LOL----  One never knows--

Isn't it wonderful  that there is always a weekend , at the end of a busy week?--I can play the piano--The 2 canines love to hear any kind of music and yes, they always fall asleep--
I must  get off of here-- empty the dryer --change the bed---- perhaps vacuum a bit--and get Lopez, the feisty Chihuahua outside -AGAIN--and, I must call  a fine fellow, and the wife,  who is taking him to Sudbury for OPEN HEART SURGERY to-morrow--
Can you even imagine how this guy must feel to-day-?-- You see, things could always be more complicated in your day--This might never happen to us--- but it could--
We are blessed  -- We are fortunate that to-day is ours--- and----I shall-------let go of the things that make me sad--but----remember --- our greatest asset just might be---whatever makes us a tad weird--
BUT--

  1. Good morning!
Isn’t that the truth. When we get down and look around, our problems seem so small compared to others. Prayers sent for his surgery.
Today it looks (almost) like Spring. It did snow 2 days ago, but was melted by the afternoon. I’m ready to plant sends in my small greenhouse that I place in the bathroom. lol. It’s going to be all flowers. My summer happiness. I am so ready to the warmth of the sun!
I’ll not be watching football. Although when I do, it is a great nap time activity.
Be careful out there. Those wild animals have a mind of their own!!!

  2. Good morning Lynda, it's Marge in St.Louis. Prayers for your friend and his family.
Be careful out there on your walks.
Nope, could care less about football game nor Taylor Swifts whereabouts.
Love Chinese food, at least the Americanized version. Lol. Enjoy it again.
Son and McDonalds lol. He finds it everywhere he goes.
Enjoy your day. Great inserts. Yes, please do play your piano. We all enjoy that.
Gotta roll on housework and laundry.
    Hugs and blessings

  3. That beautiful Lynx looks great, sort of like the Bobcats around here, in North Texas. And they do carry away whatever they can, almost faster than Coyotes. Your Chinese New Year food sounds so good. Haven’t had any good versions here at all, the California Chinese restaurants were better, we were used to Cantonese there, but here it’s always Mandarin or Szechuan and they add something. Odd, to us, to it. Hope you play piano today, or whatever pleases you. Reheat food, no standing and cooking and washing.

  4. Your son loves McDonald's! The only thing I eat from there are bacon, egg and cheese biscuits. Did you know they coat their french fries with sugar?
Do you have Burger King? I think their fries are better. I always ask for extra crispy or well done.
It's just over freezing here with a beautiful blue sky. The breeze isn't bad, but it is cold.
It's Sunday, but Sadie has to sweep the floors since (at your suggestion) she didn't do it yesterday. Also, there are dishes to wash.
Eating a chicken sandwich now, so I can snooze with Lucky.
Since I got to bed early this morning after karaoke, I need that nap.
We had such a good time last night! Many Toby Keith songs were sung in honor of him. I did not get up on stage. Just sat at our table and used the mic.
What's your friend's name so we can pray for him, his wife and medical team?
Hope your day proceeds well, and that you get that needed rest, too. If I fall asleep with a book, I figure it's not good enough to hold my interest. Reading and sleeping are separate activities for me. But as my mama said, "Everybody to their own taste said the old woman as she kissed her cow."
    Be happy, sis. Oh, I saved the Jane Goodall quote. Thanks. {{{HUGS}}}

  5. It's Kathy. Every now and then we have a wild animal hanging around. I've see red foxes and we used to have a possum live under our shed. This fall my husband took Daisy outside and there, at the bottom of the step, was a different possum. Daisy didn't know what to do - but the possum did! He turned around and ran!! The boys were pretty good last night. However, the little one refused to wear any clothes, just his diaper. Jake was happy to come and was very helpful. But, of course, little Roman broke something. I should learn to gather all the breakable things and put them in another room. It wasn't anything important! We have a nice sunny day today but it's on the chilly side! I hope to get Daisy out for a short walk later on. I'm on the fence about the football game. I would like to see the half-time program and I'm always up for the commercials! Have a good day today!

Nice, easy Sunday. Cool, but that’s all right. The sun has decided to come out this afternoon.

Good for you playing the piano and entertaining Lopez and Beau!

Prayers for the health care team and the fellow undergoing open heart surgery . . . and his wife, of course!

  10. Hi Lynda! Hope your Sunday was restful. I see the pilot landed at McDonald's. lol Oh, I hope the surgery goes well. My mom hasn't been feeling well and it makes me so nervous. She lives 6 hours away. There was a little sun peaking through in Ohio today. It was high 41. That lynx looks scary. Always something to look out for when we have little fur babies. Have a great night.
