Never forget how amazing you are!

Monday is FAMILY DAY in CANADA---  and President's Day in the U.S.--but--the very best part of to-day---
It's a HOLIDAY--- a day that we can do whatever we want to do---like-----

GOOD MORNING---  It is minus 22C  outside-- sunny-- EXTREMELY COLD----- Big Beau was out with me--did nothing-- ran back inside--then wee tiny Lopez was out in his Parka--  did nothing--ran back inside--did nothing-----  so,  that tells me , that it is too cold  to be out there.

I must tell you that  the person who had OPEN HEART SURGERY is back home--- Poor fellow---  his surgery was Monday--He returned home yesterday--Friday-with nothing good to say about the whole experience--I reminded him, that in 5 days , the DRs repaired his damaged heart--a huge deal---but--- no matter what I said, he did not enjoy the experience -- He told me he did not like the hospital--nor was he fond of the staff--or the food--especially the soups--said he was fed a lot of soup--- Poor guy eh???--And he is sore he told me, and still in a lot of pain--It made me decide to cut out the cream in my coffee, to stop buying ice cream--and cookies --and cakes----and butter-----and almost everything I eat  right now. Lord love a Duck!--I think this guy could get a job in a grocery store warning everyone what could happen if they  do not change their diet!----Poor guy eh??----  This man has no medical experience at all--so, it must've been a shock for him to experience  the medical procedure he had to to go through-

(I didn't say the above to him)

It really is wonderful to wake up this morning and not HAVE to go anywhere--that you can "loll" around a tad slower----no pressure--

                                                          This is to-day--I hope!

So----What are your plans for to-day?---hopefully--no stress--perhaps be a bit crazy--dance--???  read a book????----visit someone  who had heart surgery--or --just do nothing?????---
Whatever it is, enjoy the day---

Good Morning---and, remember---YOU REALLY ARE AMAZING____-

  1. It's Kathy. Yes, I would like to - well, I don't know what - to Bryan. He only thinks about himself and what he wants. We are going over to Laurie's for lunch today to see the boys. We're bringing lunch! Jake called me yesterday to explain that when he gets Mega Mad (his words) he needs to go downstairs and use his punching bag. My husband's suggestion but maybe it will help??? So it won't be a quiet day for us today but maybe tomorrow. I love the days when I don't have to go anywhere! I think I'm starting to love them too much! It's cold at our house too and Daisy doesn't go outside as much but they're telling us by the end of the week all the snow will probably be gone. I sure hope Spring comes early this year! Enjoy your day!

    1. Hi Kathy---so cute about Jake using his punching bag--poor wee child eh?? Why does a child so young have to go through all this ?--- Yes, ,my favourite days are when I can stay home ALL day---And before I get up every morning I go over in my mind what I have to do-that day--and if its "nothing" I go back to sleep for a bit--Always nice to hear from yu--Lynda

  2. Happy Family Day! Is your local family getting together or is it just the 5 of you?
Tonight is karaoke, but I am considering not going. Joanne will not want to with the cold and the ice (it's the equivalent of 11.667C). I don't know if my 'adopted daughters' will go, either. They work hard during the week, so it depends if they're in the mood for rest or fun.
I got a lot done (Sadie stuff) yesterday and did my exercises. Maybe that's why I had to take Tylenol today. I'd probably be uncomfortable at the venue for karaoke.
    Please be careful out there with your pups, sis. None of us wants you to slip and fall and break your pelvis like I did. {{{HUGS}}}

    2. Have never really heard of a parade or such for Presidents' Day. Mostly lots of people get the day off from work as it's a federal holiday. Banks are closed and we get not mail.

  3. OH my gosh! Stay warm in that bitter cold.

Good lord! Open heart surgery on Monday and home on Friday! Well, honestly sounds like he did well. I don’t know of many who enjoy the hospital experience. But the bottomline is being made healthy again. And sounds like he’s on the road to recovery.

LOL! Yes, agree . . . wine is a good cure for stress!

    Yup . . . YOU are amazing.

    Enjoy the holiday!

  4. Happy family Day, I thought it was Monday though. That poor man with the bad heart, and maybe it was already not so good to begin with. He is mad because he can’t eat anything that tastes good, makes a person feel like an old fishwife! Alive but pissed off, same way we feel, going on any diet! Humbug! It is super cold here in north Texas. Tomorrow will be the same, but by Tuesday, will hit 70‘s and low 80‘s! Weird stuff. Careful walking outside with the poor dogs who can’t find their pads in the house to go on.

    1. Hey--I corrected it--Family Day, Monday--Good thing yu noticed it-Thank yu--It is super cold here in Northern Ontario and more snow is falling-- Horrible!--The 2 canines like the snow but minus 22 was pretty harsh for them-- Hugs, Lynda--- PS Do you have a horse?--I always used to think people in Texas have a horse--

  5. Hi Lynda: It's cold enough here. It's really cold there. I don't blame the dogs for not doing anything. Your friend that had open heart surgery should be thankful he is still alive and better than he was. Hospitals are not known for having great food here. But the important part is successful treatment. I don't think you need to change your life based on his opinion on his experience. Just stay warm inside for today and relax tonight and maybe play the piano. Hugs Brenda

  6. Hi Lynda, Marge in St.Louis. Very cold 15F but the sun is out and some of the crud from yesterday's blizzard is melting. Predicting high 60F by mid week. Crazy St.Louis weather.
I did get out today for errands. I don't do well trapped inside. Roads were OK this afternoon but icy this morning with the teen temps.
Sadie was here this morning. This afternoon I'm a lounge blizzard. President's Day is a day off for banks, schools, post office. Regular day for most businesses. Stores advertise special sales. Monday, will be another day for me to go to exercise class.
Family Day sounds nice. Will you two get together with the local boys and grands for a meal?
Your friend sure came home quickly. He sounds a bit depressed which can happen after major surgery. When I read you were forgoing coffee creamer....I'm not sure I can drink coffee without cream and I love coffee with a lot of cream. I don't buy ice cream, cookies or sweets but I do love cream, lots of it.
Be very careful taking dogs out. We all need you. You are amazing.
    Hope himselfs mood improves.
Read your book, take a nap, play your piano. Take exceptional care of you.
    Hugs and blessings

  7. Hi Lynda! I agree, no pressure days are the best. Tomorrow is our FAVE day so let's do it again! Slow mode and rest. It is 16 here in Ohio. It was very windy when I shoveled a bit today. Hope it melts soon. Stay warm and enjoy your day tomorrow!
