My wish for you today is---- PEACE .

I just returned from taking Himself to his "Day Program" at the Lodge--Well, on the way home, I stopped at the Pharmacy to pick up my Synthroid----I have a thyroid  whatever---  take a pill a day--

All went well--Himself was quite grouchy with me--but, as soon as he got out of the car, at the Lodge, he began to talk about the Football Game coming up on the weekend--  talked all about it with the staff- He seemed quite happy there--- That is good--I am beginning to believe that he is happier there than at home here--which is a good thing---

We have rain falling--on the snow---  which is turning into ice as it hits the ground----  I salted out by the gate--- The 2 dogs have been out --- I went in the dog pen with them as its not as ice-y----- and I can see grass in there.

So, Son#3--- well, LOLA, his Chihuahua, who I just adore---  has not been eating--The vet told him, it is Pancreatitis---- She has to be the sweetest wee Chihuahua----  anyway she has been on meds for it and it is clearing up---but--she will not eat her kibble---  so--last evening, I sent a bag of Lopez' kibble home for her-made especially for Chihuahuas-----and apparently she loves it--AND IS EATING IT---I was so happy for her---

That is LOLA --many moons ago--sitting beside Himself-- many moons ago---Lola is an Apple head Chihuahua--with big attitude--
I hope you find "PEACE" to-day---  or---  perhaps, you might need to make it happen--It is "YOUR " day  to dance up a storm---  put on something flamboyant-- ---  smile at someone you meet---be a tad crazy---
-not everyone lived to see to-day--- -----We are so so fortunate---Turn off the news---just enjoy the quiet-

---These Ladies will dance with you---

so, until to-morrow----------

  1. So glad Lola likes the special kibble. Prisoner is "getting up there", too, and I'm now feeding him a 3 oz. can of food in addition to having the dry food down, because he likes it. He not only likes it, he demands it, and greets me every morning, purring and asking for his breakfast.

We love them so much, and whatever we can do to make their lives full for the time we're blessed with them, blesses us in return.

And such a boon the "day care" has been for your Himself!

    (( hugs ))

  2. I am happy that Himself is going three days a week especially since he enjoys it. It is probably because he sees new faces. Enjoy your time alone. Hugs to you also.

  3. Himself in a good mood 'til the Super Bowl is over. Let's hope his preferred team wins. I don't do sports, except for watching kids who have good coaches that encourage them to have fun. I always feel bad for the losers.
Poor little Lola. Hope your son knows where to get the new food.
I am sorry you have all that ice! That's hard, especially with a property like yours. I don't want you to fall and fracture your pelvis and get a closed head injury like I did!
My Social Security check posts this afternoon, so I have to figure out what bills need paying right away. Then a bit of shopping to do. Well, maybe more than a bit.
Weather here is still above normal for this time of year, but not like it was last week. The wind is crisp and cold, but supposed to die down soon.
Sadie did lots around here yesterday. Thank her for me if she visits you today. That's okay, because I wouldn't be much help for her with my banking to do.
In the US we are celebrating Black History Month, St Valentine's Day, and Presidents' Day on the 19th. I have already received a wonderful Valentine card with funny kitties all over it. It states that I am 'the cat's meow.' It had $10 in it...from my adopted daughters.
There will be no mail or banks open on the 19th.
Lucky is looking for his snooze with me now that lunch is over. I need to lay down with him 'til he is sound asleep. Then, if I haven't fallen asleep too, I can crawl out of bed and do my banking on the computer.
    Hope your day continues to go well. Mine, too...and all your followers. Be happy, sis! {{{HUGS}}}

  4. So glad all goes well with the Day program. That has been a blessing for you. No wonder he likes it now - he is the center of attention from the staff entertaining them and he doesn't have to do anything that he doesn't want to do! You certainly cannot give him undivided attention all day long!

I guess our 60's weather is about over. Saw that we have a 65% chance of snow in the next 7 days. Of course, it is for a total of 0.3" so I'm not worried. Just hate the temps that come with it. Oh well, could be worse. And it is still February. Dot

  5. Hi! It's Marti. It's just beautiful here today, sunny and 62 degrees, but the rain will be moving in overnight. Evidently it will still be warm tomorrow and then drop back down in the 40's. Won't see the 30's again until next Friday. Really, really weird weather we've been having, all of us! Maybe you can get your hubby into daily Lodge visits, or maybe all day visits? I'm glad he's found a place where he's happy, and then you can breathe a sigh of relief too! :)

  6. Awwww, HUGS to you and glad that the chow helped LOLA. Poor pup having pancreatitis. NOT easy for humans or pups.

We had a thunderstorm last night. VERY unusual for this time of the year here. And a tornado north of us! Now THAT is unheard of @ this time of the year. Makes me wonder what is going to happen when spring really springs! YIKES!

Well, glad at least that Himself enjoyed his time @ the lodge.

  8. Hi Lynda: This is my 3rd time trying to post this! Glad himself is enjoying going to the day program more now. Can he go more often? Hope he'll enjoy watching the game. Poor Lola. Hope the new food helps and your son buys it for her in the future. May the next few days be peaceful if himself is looking forward to the game. Brenda
