It is freezing cold here this morning-minus 22C outside---- too cold for even big Beau to go out--but--we can still be amazing--To-day I shall not go for groceries --I believe it will warm up later--at least to around zero--and that means, to-morrow will be a lot better to go out in the car. We still have about 4 mushy bananas--plus, it will give Sadie a chance to clean the dining room and living room--
When you listen to the news on TV and you hear of all the wars going on in the world, does it worry you?-- Then there is climate change, with fires --out of control fires due to the lack of snow and rain in certain areas--We live in the Boreal Forest--other words, in the bush---lotza trees----lots of dead trees--- I believe it could be a real fire hazard-- I have a list on our frig of what to pack in a "Grab and Go" pack in case of fire-- Who would ever think it might come to this?--- But then, I am a real worrywart---I must keep believing that everything will turn out for the best--or--maybe I should have that "grab and Go" package, ready to go---
-Himself uses an "I PAD"----checks the weather on it hourly-- I presume he will always keep me posted as to any situation arising-
I see Skidoos heading down the lake- going ice fishing-- The cold weather is good in increase the ice on the lake--
I suppose we should not give a RATATOOTIE------just enjoy the day --- and be happy--- after all. it is the weekend---ENJOY while we can----Did you realize that TODAY is the oldest that we have been, and the youngest you will ever be---?--That kinda puts a good slant on things--
I do think about I will never live this day again, that I need to embrace the joy of living this long.
ReplyDeleteand yu are so right--- Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda! It is sunny, 23 and new snow on the ground here in Ohio. Yes, it will be better tomorrow for us to go out. It will be 20 degrees warmer tomorrow. Yes, I do worry about all of the news. My husband was in the military for 30 years so I am always asking him, do we need to worry about this or that! He mostly says NO so that always encourages me. Don't be Sadie too much today and we will enjoy tomorrow as we love Sundays! Have a super Saturday. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear from yu--cold to-day-yes, better to-morrow-- Now tell me--Does he worry about all these wars going on now--yer husband-- hopefully I do not need to worry-LOL--Lynda
DeleteNo, he doesn't. He says it's highly unlikely to have a reason to worry.
DeleteIt's Kathy. Love all the memes today, especially the one about being the oldest I've ever been and the youngest I'll ever be! My husband Tom teaches art classes. The one he's doing right now is called Color Theory - teaching the people how to mix colors together to get just the right shade of whatever they're looking for. In the Spring he'll be teaching a drawing class that will ultimately be colored in with watercolors. He loves teaching and had a brain full of knowledge but he can't seem to do his own painting at home! Sorry about the cold. We are having such a string of nice weather. Apparently this will be our warmest winter EVER! I love it and Daisy is so happy that the snow has nearly all melted! Have a good day today!
ReplyDeleteKathy-- It would be wonderful to take one of his classes- I took a great many classes over the years--enjoyed them a lot--Lynda
DeleteYour temp would be -7.6 Fahrenheit. Here now it is 25F. Mostly sunny, too. We are lucky.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, the doggies will be able to do their business in this cold. It's a good idea, I think, not to do shopping until tomorrow.
I took Tylenol today. I believe I get more done around here and enjoy my mini-nap more when I am not feeling the pain.
Do need that nap to prepare for karaoke tonight. We don't get home until midnight or after. It is such fun, though, seeing all my friends and singing. What would life be without music?
Maybe you'll get a chance to play some music today on your piano. Bet it soothes all of you. I know Lucky likes it, especially the new age music on the computer that I play in the afternoon when I am meditating.
Just like Himself feeding Lopez beef, I gave Lucky some bits of ham day before yesterday. He kept begging for more, so...Now he has thrown up several times. I find it's easier to pick up if I let it dry. Now I have to clean the spots. Ugh.
I check this, sis, when I get back from karaoke.
We DO make our day good...when we focus on the positive stuff, not the cat throw up. {{{HUGS}}}
HEY--- It is Karaoke night eh??--- And yes, that Tylenol should help yu relax from the pain-- Not much going on today--I played the piano a lot--The 2 dogs sleep when I play--Even little Lopez went out and did his business this afternoon- a good little guy--- Sadie never turned up here to-day--said she was going to your house--=Did she turn up there?--LOL---- Have fun at your Karaoke--No more falling---Hugs and go to bed--LOL Lynda
DeleteOh Lord, stay warm. That’s too cold.
ReplyDeleteYup, politics, wars, climate change and fires. *SIGH*
Having a good day!
Love that lady smiling.

Well Barb--- It has warmed up a lot here--almost above zero--It was a good day here=--I hope it was there--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: It is very cold here too but not as bad as up there. When it gets to fire season, you might want to have a "go bag" although I don't know what goes in one. Fires seem to be getting scarier. And the wars going on seem like a lot of dictators want to control more area. Scary stuff! Anyway positive thoughts for the rest of the day. Relax and play the piano. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteYes--I was playing the piano a lot this afternoon--I really enjoy playing---The 2 boys (dogs) go to sleep when I play-- LOL--Lynda
DeleteIt’s 78 in North Texas, blossoms on trees and shrubs, not good, too early and pollen is making folks sneeze already. Hoping your shopping tomorrow goes smoothly! I carry bags in here, using both arms, it’s exercise time, lol. Take care.
ReplyDeleteImagine, it being 78--- Holy Cow!--Ever nice!--- I do not like the Pollen tho--LOL--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda. Hope your cold temp day is going well.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the news....I really don't want to be inundated by the negativity and endless barrage of frightening news. I live this day only. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.
Hope you can stay in and stay warm. I've been a couch slug today and it feels pretty nice for something different.
Hugs and blessings
Marge - St.Louis
Hi Marge--Good for yu to live for to-day only! Yes I dd stay in most of the day--to-morrow II shall grocery shop-- Nice to rest on the couch--Lynda
DeleteMarti here. I too, don't watch the news. Just too much negativity, and being bipolar, I can't let myself get too down. News is like that, they only talk about the bad because it's what sells, basically, what catches people's attention. Dear Lynda, try to take it in smaller doses. Yes, it's good to be informed. For that, I read the headlines. But no, we don't need to dwell on it. And besides, is there really anything we can do about it? When we get to be, ahem, older, do we want to dwell in sadness and worry, or enjoy the rest of what we have? :)
