Smile at someone you meet----

It is Sunday---  The "Lords Day"--that's what we used to say--I used to think that because Sunday belongs to the Lord  (well-sorta)  that I could do nothing--just veg-ALL DAY-----doesn't happen however--

We had snow falling all night--- another 105 inches --- NO No  NO!---Of course I am exaggerating-- maybe 4 inches fell--on top of the other 12 that fell yesterday--so---- I was out shovelling----early--- and--then the snow plough went by and ploughed about 4 ft into our drive----so, I gave up, and came back inside-- but---- Son#1, just came with his big Kaboda ---- so, now we are good----

How is your Sunday going?--

Don't forget, we get another Holiday to-morrow! Yeah!!----- I just counted the days until the end of February--11 more days-- and then MARCH---and then APRIL---  and we all know that April showers bring --MAY FLOWERS__Life is good!

big Beau---  well, not really-but, it looks just like him!---  and he does bark at nothing --a lot---  but, that's Ok---He is a good boy--and I know he hears more than I do---

It is my Sister's Birthday -to-day-- my younger sister--so, to-day is a special day for her--I remember when my older sister and I used to push her around in her carriage-and I was so excited when she became a part of our family--

I hope to-day is a wonderful day in your part of the world-- Make it a good day--Do something that YOU want to do--If you are alone-you don't  have to be sad--Do your own thing--

Son#2, the Pilot is flying to LA this evening---  and  guess who the other "CREW" member is--- his best friend from high school---  They both decided  way back when, to become pilots, after watching "TOP GUN" at least 200 times---- Now they  work for the same airline, and this evening, are in the CockPit---TOGETHER---Funny eh??----

No Sadie , the cleaning Lady, (who is really me!)_-to-day ---hopefully to-morrow---- but she may not come, as it is a Holiday-and if it is snowin g AGAIN---- for sure I may not see her!---We shall see----Lord love a Duck!---

Yes, there are days we all need many hugs--I also worry about everything --(as you all know)-Dad used to say, when I would cry at the drop of a hat,  "There she goes again"---I was known as "a Worry Wart"---I can't remember  people ever trying to calm me down---  as the sayings below----

Enjoy the weekend---Don't cry---I'm here with you--LOL-and it's lunch time--Smile at someone you meet to-day-- It just might lift their spirits--

  1. I am so glad you didn't get 105 inches of snow! We didn't get more, the sun is out, it's almost freezing, but things are melting.
Sadie won't be visiting here today, either.
Got more shopping done and filled up with gas. In less than 3 hours, I need to get my hair cut. Must wash hair next. Then I'm going to take a friend to her friend's house for a visit. It's in a neighboring town, but she has a ride home.
Your son is such a help! I have 3 sons, but 2 are still in the Chicago area. My doc son in CA is a help when I desperately need $, but I won't ask him more than twice a year. My son-in-law just 45 minutes away has been a help, too.
What would we do without our kids, without are furbies (that's a word I learned on Spark People. I guess you could say fur babies)?
    No nap for me today, but hopefully you will get some rest time in. Take care with that snow, sis. {{{HUGS}}}

  2. Thank goodness that son #1 came along w/his plow! That stuff plow drivers leave on the driveway is H-E-A-V-Y.

LOVE that meme. It’s true in this house. Miss Lilly always alerts us to everything going on!

Beauty of a day . . . .warmer than yesterday, sunny and just pretty.

What a treat for Son #2 and his friend to be piloting in the cockpit together! AWESOME!

Awwww, sending you hugs and reassuring you everything is going to be all right. We ALL need that once in awhile, don’t we! I LOVE those suggestions for comforting someone who is just crying and having a hard time!

  4. It's Kathy. I agree, Sunday's should be a day of rest! It's easier for me right now than when I was younger, but there's always something that must be done! It's the middle of February already and I haven't updated my 2024 Calendar with birthdays! That's usually done before the new year happens. We went to visit Lauriellen and the boys yesterday and that was a disaster. I can't believe how naughty Jake has become - like he's trying to upset his mother. And she's pretty much at the end of the rope hanging on by one thread. I hoped being there would help but it sure didn't! All I can do is pray - and yes, worry. Seems I worry more now than when the children were young. At least then I had some control, not much but some! I'm so glad your son plowed your driveway. And how wonderful for Son #2 to be able to work with his best high school friend. I hope you've been having a good day today!

    1. Aww Kathy--so sorry for Jake and his Mom-- She really needs help--but--giving help must be difficult--son #2 the Pilot is leaving for the airport-- It's the funniest thing isn't it--these 2 boys watching "Top Gun" and dreaming--and there thy are flying that Dreamliner, together----Yes, I worry more now-- I think--- When the kids were young, Fred helped me-- now I worry that I will not be able to do everything-- but--I do--so, why do I worry??--Now I worry that I worry--LOLOL-- Ohhhh Kathy-- just must keep going --everyday--LOL_- One nice thing--Himself wore his hearing aids all day--makes such a difference--Hugs , Lynda-

    2. That is cool, how your son and his old best friend can pilot together now and then! Glad Himself wore his hearing aids again. Sorry for the poor gal who fell on the ice, oh my! That is scary. I fell in the bedroom once, could not get up, had to ask Alexa to call my son, so she did! Saved me. Take care out there!

  5. Hi Lynda: Wow, you get so much snow. Good thing Son#1 has his big snowplow to help you out. Great guy. You need that help. Lucky son #2 gets to fly away to a better climate and to fly with someone he grew up with! My day didn't start good either. I fell outside on the ice and couldn't stand up by myself. Fortunately a couple of people came and helped me but my dog got messed up by this and has had the runs all day! Hopefully tonight is better! And you don't get more snow and yours is better too. I guess there's no day program tomorrow for himself. Have a good night. Brenda

  6. Hi Lynda! The plow trucks can be a pain. They do the same at my driveway and mailbox. Thank goodness for your son to help with it. Bring on the May flowers. Plenty of snow still on the ground here in Ohio. That does look like Beau. I think they all hear better than us and bark at crickets in Africa! lol Happy Birthday to your dear sister. I hope she is having a fun day. How neat the pilot will have his best friend from high school on the plane adventure with him. They will enjoy that. Have a great holiday tomorrow!

  7. Hi Lynda, UGHHH MORE SNOW for you.
Thank goodness #1 and his tractor cleaned the driveway and the 400 foot tall mess at the end of the road. Be careful out there clearing dog paths.
Sadie didn't show up here today. Day of rest for Sadie.
How nice that pilot son and friend are flying together. Dreams do come true.
Lynda. Special hug for you...you need it....every day.
Beau is doing his job...protecting his people. He hears something outside.
Loved all the inserts today. I always enjoy your positivity, your can do attitude, your strength, humor and wisdom. You are a very special lady.
Hoping himself is having a calm day.
Relax, take it easy and treat yourself to free time to read, nap or play your piano.
    Enjoy

    2. My daughter is like you....she worries about everything! She is like her dad. He did the same. I sometimes think they both suffered from anxiety problems - sometimes I tell my daughter that she lets her head think the worse about things....but then I know I need to valid her feelings also. I am packing to leave for Florida for 10 days! I am happy to get to travel and have some down time on the beach. I hope it is sunny and warm! I will still check in with you as often as I can. I am hoping that all goes well for you too! Cheers to staying healthy and living the best life we can!
