A day , maybe--- without POWER___

I am blogging as fast as I can here--We will probably, lose  power with a temperature drop---maybe in an hour --or before--Our driveway is sheer ice--no way could I get the car out--and there is no way I can take Himself into town to his day program--and if I did take him in, I probably could not pick him up, after the flash freeze hits and snow--so------  I thought I might as well talk to you all, and tell you what is happening in our part of the world.
This arrived from Son#2 ---  He is back in Toronto---  out for coffee---  and guess where he bought the coffee?-----his favourite place for sure---

I had to take the 2 dogs out---in the pen--to do their business-- I was afraid big Beau., who speaks English--(dog english tho)-- I was afraid he might break a leg on the driveway ice-------

Good Morning to you--said from my heart--

-I have no plans for to-day---Sadie was here yesterday--so---  if I just survive this day--- without a power outage--I will be very happy--- In this area all our schools are closed----- no school buses on the roads----I suppose it is another day to be strong--think "survival"--play the piano maybe----  read my Kindle--- (Do any of yu have a Kindle?)-----

                                           - I wonder how it is in your part of the world?--

----If I have any advice for to-day--it might be---to not be a miserable cow--

and-----never trust anyone who doesn't like cows

and do not forget to SMILE to-day--'specially if yu do not lose power-
It is almost MARCH--- a month , hopefully  when one can go fly their kites--the March Break arrives and we can all go to "Porta Front Porcha"-( it's sorta like PUNTA CANA, only on your front porch)-get that bikini out-----and the Flip Flops--Well----one as to dream-----

  1. It's Marti. Be safe. We had a tornado warning about 6 am but I was fast asleep. It is supposed to be very windy here and temps are to plummet. A good day to be inside and at work.

  4. Oh my. Sounds like you’re having the weather we did yesterday (overnight). Rain/thunderstorms/wind, temperature plummet, snow and ice. At least today the sun is out for a bit. Stay safe! Hope you don’t lose your power.

Have to admit, McDonald’s has good coffee. People rave about Starbucks, but . . . not for me.

Yes! Looking forward to visiting Porta Front Porch! No bikini here (LOL) but probably flip flops soon.

  6. Hi Lynda, LOVE and admire your endless positivity and humor. You are a blessing and inspiration to all of us.
HOPING you don't loose power. PLEASE be very careful on the ice taking the boys out. I also hope himself isn't grumpy today. The weather in St.zlouis...well 85F yesterday and 24F and windy as all get out today.
Take an indoor vacation day. Yes, play your piano and read on your Kindle. I'm not tekki enough to figure out how to download a free book from library.
    McDonalds does have good coffee!
Be careful on the ice, PLEASE.
    BE warm and well
I DO like cows, from afar lol

  7. Lynda, so sorry for your terrible weather! We got a couple more inches of blizzard last night....so windy. Temp is -3F this morning...-19.444C.
Thankfully, I don't need to go anywhere today, either.
It's really sad that Himself doesn't get to go to his day program. I hope he understands.
Beau will be okay if he takes it slow. I am sure he will perform quickly as he won't want to be out long, either. Just wait 'til he really tells you he's ready.
Coffee at McDonald's? I don't think so. Workers there say if they clean the coffee machines once every 6 months to a year, you're lucky. They say that it's the only drink you should not buy there. Read that on a Readers' Digest newsletter. I get them in my email.
Sadie doesn't need to come to your house so she's coming to me instead. Never did get to that new vacuum yesterday.
I love cows! I love all animals! Of course there are some I prefer over others. We have 2 zoos in our area. My local 'adopted' (not officially) daughters and my 'real' daughter have all promised to take me...2 years ago!...and haven't done so yet. One is said to have better gardens, the other to have more animals. I want to see a red panda in person! They are SO adorable.
Put me down in a zoo, a hobby farm that doesn't raise animals for slaughter or a rescue and I'd be happy 'as a clam.'
All for now, sis. Tried to get hold of my bank with a question, but can't get through. Will try again.
    Sure hope you get through the day with power. Be sure your Kindle is charged. I will have to plug mine in later. {{{HUGS}}}

    1. Re the cleaning of the machines at McDonalds - that's the McCafe machine where they make the fancy coffees. If you jsut get regular old coffee, they brew that in the old-school coffee pots, and they do clean those LOL. That's what I get, don't like the fancy ones. Straitlover/Lisa

  8. It's Kathy. I'm so sorry about the ice. That is the scariest thing to me these days. We had snow yesterday and our temps dropped a lot but the sun is out so the roads should be good. I have to go to Lauriellen's today, and the only way to get there is on the freeway. I'm not a fan of driving on the freeway because everyone goes so darn fast but I'll have to put on my big girl panties and be brave. She has her first court date to retain full custody of the two boys. Bryan, their father, thinks they should live with him - and then he'll hire a nanny. Makes no kind of sense to me! I hope it doesn't make sense to the judge either. He's really not a good influence on the boys either - he believes women belong at home doing what the man tells them to do! Not sure how he ever thought that would fly with my daughter! I hope you didn't lose power!

  10. Hi Lynda: Hope you still have power. When I went to the store earlier some major intersections had no power but don't know about the residences in those areas as I had power. Glad you're not going out. Ice is the worst - you can break a leg, a hip, etc. It's just not safe. Good thing you took the boys out just on the property. Himself won't be happy without going to the Lodge. But better safe than sorry. You asked about my dog - she is a Sheltie and burnt her entire esophagus a few months ago and must have a liquid diet the rest of her life - lots of fun! Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  11. Love my kindle. I can read lots on it - real books seem so awkward now. Woke up at 4:00 this morning with lightening, thunder and sleet and ice. Not a pretty scene. Actually, a tornado warning also. What else could there be - the temps went from 82 to sleet in 12 hours. Just glad I could stay in all day. Dot

  12. Hi Lynda! I sure hope you didn't lose power. There were several that lost power here in Ohio last night but thank goodness, we did not. We did awake in the middle of the night with huge hail bouncing off the house and storming. Tornadoes, too but not near us. Oh coffee at McDonald's. lol He should get his own McDonald's. HImself would love that! lol I don't have a kindle but I think I would love it. I am constantly reading on my phone and laptop. I am afraid to have another gadget. I would be reading ALL the time. My mom says that I never played with toys much it was always reading and writing. I hope your ice is gone soon. Makes it too dangerous. How was your day? Enjoy your evening!

  13. Lovely weather today in San Francisco but more rain coming tomorrow! We have had a lot of rain this season and our reservoirs are full! We will have our 2 year old grandson for the next few days. He keeps us on our toes, for sure! But his parents need a little break, too. Stay warm and dry! Alice, the nurse in San Francisco
