Ordinary Days are the Blessed Days---

Good morning-- and--so far, things are going well---I was going to go for groceries, but, I think we can survive one more day with what we have in the frig--Lopez and I walked the back road---me in a bug suit---Lopez did what was required of him---

Monday is a Holiday here , so most stores will be closed----Remember?--  Here we have Victoria Day- I believe it is Memorial Day in the U.S on Monday---There are so many black flies outside---  I think the bugs would cart me away ---- They usually last until mid June--or longer----then come the Deer flies and the Horse Flies--so much to look forward to, living in the bush here.

I need to see this handsome man---Sadie feels my house  needs a good  cleaning--- but, any spare time, I seem to be outside now cutting grass--weeding, or raking-- and then there is the trip to the nursery for plants-- Where is that handsome man?------Do you feel the chores seem overwhelming as each season changes?--I must remember that eventually it all comes together--and one day, you look at it, and think, "Now why did I worry"---
I hear Himself pushing the Dyson around downstairs--Maybe he is "the Handsome Man",  who will throw me into bed and clean my whole house while I sleep--????-------(Well, one never knows!)--  LOL

Before bedtime, I have been reading Whoopi Goldberg's book, "Bits and Pieces"----and I am enjoying it----I never knew much about her, but always admired her independence, both in her appearance and her down to earth, common sense--an interesting life she has had--Her Mother contributed to making her a strong individual in spite of  them being very poor----

Anyway, until to-morrow, I hope you stay strong--
                                                                FIND TIME "FOR YOU"

You are special because---

We walk through many storms----Mom used to say, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. " Yesterday was a good example--I wanted to weed whack but I could not remember how to get the weed whacker machine to go--(Himself always tells me, that I am losing my mind now , because of my "older age"--of---82 -------- ( I do not respond--out loud-- !--)-- But--You know, I filled the machine with the gas mixture---moved a couple of buttons --and voila, the weed whacker began to go--and I trimmed all the side lawn and the front--I felt stronger because I did it! --  My trouble is, I have to walk thru so many storms---

                                                                        True eh?

I did not take Himself to his Day Program to-day as that scope  kinda "did him in"--  "pooped him out," as Dad used to say--I may regret not taking him,  by Monday, which is a holiday---- the Queen's Birthday--
And we are supposed to have 2 days of sunshine, starting tomorrow--so, I may get the grass on  the lake side of the house cut--I used the new lawn mower yesterday, and I am beginning to like it---(another storm Ive had to walk thru)--- I discovered when you buy a battery lawn mower, it takes up to 12 hrs to fully charge a new battery----  amazing how the mower works with a fully charged battery!---  There is so much to learn isn't  there?----Good thing  that we are tough, I'd say!

Lopez is  crying---wants to come upstairs here and chase Sushi----  He really is a little rascal---tough little guy too!-----Women should be more like a Chihuahua----Just remember----- - Have a great day---and remember that "YOU"-----are  special--because-----

TODAY WILL BE A GOOD DAY

We have sun--with black flies--Lopez and I walked early this AM--I wore my bug suit so I looked like a Lady from Mars--but--the good news is--Lopez did what he was supposed to do--What a good boy!----

I picked up Himself from the Lodge yesterday and he was exhausted-- Poor guy! -I believe  at the age of 95, after a scope at a hospital, he was just plain tired and I never thought of that happening-- Why would I not  think of that?--  And he still seems tired--  Dunno if he will get to the Lodge to-morrow-- No results back from the scope yet---They removed some polyps  and sent some scrapings away to a lab----

This is the wall that had to be dug up--then rebuilt, yesterday--The 2 workmen were here at 9am and left about noon---
When they finished with the wall, they carried lawn furniture down to the docks--and my huge table which I use to fill planters , they dragged out of the shed--and we cleaned out the shed and I sent them home with countless items that had been stored in the shed for years--shovels--a rain barrel--even tricycles, and toy "Tonka" trucks which their Grandchildren could use-- It was things that had been shoved into the shed a million years ago and never taken out--So, the dock area looks great again--
Somedays the work around here is overwhelming-- There is so much to do, and only me, usually does it all-- It was such a treat yesterday to have help--

And I so appreciated hearing from you all last evening--I felt badly also for not posting yesterday--but--you all seemed to understand--

This weekend coming up is a holiday weekend in Canada--May 24th--As a kid, we used to chant: " the 24th of May is the Queen's Birthday and if we don't get a holiday, we'll all run away--"--the Queen we referred to was "Queen Victoria"--thus--this holiday is also called,  -  Victoria Day '---This was the weekend that Mom and Dad   used to  drive us all to Port Stanley , on Lake Erie, to the cottage-- and we would open it for the season--Below is a picture  of Himself, "Fred the Med" , as Dad used to call him, on the beach at Port Stanley with  our son#1--

I best get off of here--Himself is trying to watch the swimming championship on the IPad  and it keeps going off-- Did you know that Son#2, the Pilot still holds the record for the fastest time in Breast stroke for 10yrs--all our children were Speed swimmers--

The "BE STRONG '"  poster , below, is interesting--something to keep in the back of your mind--

                                                            Enjoy this beautiful day---

"Life Renovation"

Yesterday  was yesterday---Things  kinda fell apart as the day progressed-- It began with Himself not being very happy--and the whole day , to me just developed into a big mess--Have you ever had days like that??-- I sat down to type a couple of times but I was frazzled and knew that whatever I tried to put down here on the blog would be  not good---I felt like the woman in the picture below--
I missed talking  to you all---You always  are  my salvation---  keeping me happy--  LOL--  helping me to forget that I have lost my kind and caring husband- and he doesn't even know it--but--then,  I remembered why I blog---
I blog because I always feel that Women do so much--more as we age-- We raised children--And we don't ask for any thanks  really---It is just expected of us--and we  are so proud of our grown families---  then our parents need us--and  we try to be there for them---and now our husbands--  and we do the best we are able , again, without  expecting  a reward-because we love them all--and the various stages of life.

We are strong women, because we have to be---
I guess we must be thankful that we are not a cow-----Life could always be worse, I suppose----The sun is out, I have a working lawn mower--- I don't believe that I am sick--Himself is not aware that he needs  care-- (but I do tell him this)---  and I know I am doing the very best I can to keep my mouth shut  many a day-----SO----another day is  here and I have talked to you all, and that makes it even a better day than yesterday--

Yes, I guess yesterday , I can put it up to "Life Renovation" for sure and we all need that , at times-

The day of "the scope"---- and all is well-so far!

Good morning--  Himself is in Hospital--- The scope is at about 10-30am---so, we are both OK, and I shall tell you how it went later on to-day--- til then, "keep yer chin up," as Dad used to say--

It's a lovely day here --sunny--See you later Alligator----  Lynda

It's Mother's Day

                                                                Happy Mother's Day--

Best wishes to all you Ladies , who give up so much, to take care of your families--You are the best!        We have sunshine---no rain---  Lopez did his business--I mean. what more could I ask?
This picture was taken by our camera  this morning, looking  out to the road -- You can see that it is a glorious day here----  This afternoon I may even get the front lawn trimmed--

So, to-morrow is "D" Day --- Himself goes for ""THE SCOPE"----  Son#1 will get him there--He wants to go to the "Foot Lady" for a toe nail trim at noon--and at that time I will get to the grocery for bananas- (I think he believes this scope is a big deal so needs to look his best--*S*) ---  But it will give me some time to get  his apple juice--(No solid foods to-day he tells me)--

Are you sitting , with your feet up, wearing your crown ?--Moms are in the same category as Queens--(and---do you really believe that? )--  Now--if you had your own way, what would yu be doing to-day?-- What can yuu imagine your vey best day wold consist of? --Now I would love one day where I could just sit with a good book and read all day--My hair dresser would love to be on a cruise ship-----What about you???

-at least we can dream, can't we???--
Son#b sent a few pictures---from London--
BBQ ing at the inlaws and below, the Train station to get there-
Packaged roast beef ready to put inside fresh bread
And---  I must send you big Beau's URN---  It is made of "STEEL" --I placed the ashes in it--
Best wishes for a Happy Day---Moms are the best!
just remember---
God could not be everywhere, so he created Mothers.-"-a Jewish saying''

Spend more time making memories-

Good morning beautiful person!---  Rise and SHINE! -It is a new day--- a new day to get everything right--I have a bit of "house-y" stuff to do--then a few errands to run---groceries to-morrow I guess!

I was walking little Lopez this morning and son #1 who lives at the end of our road  drove by--He will take Himself , Monday morning, to the hospital---I will go in later on , and eventually bring himself  home. For the life of me, I dunno why he is insisting on having this bowel scope done-even if they find anything, at his age, (almost 96)-they will not do anything--But, I was told yesterday--by him, that I am just a (now get this)-a "lowly nurse" and "what do I know"--  Now how do you think that made me feel?--Why on earth did he marry this "lowly nurse"?--- Good thing I know he is definitely NOT himself anymore--so I don't take what Himself says very serious!

And it is a good thing that we all know that "WE" are--Weird, wonderful , sensitive, impulsive, crazy, mystical, lovable, magical, and beautiful-----no matter what anyone says about us--and even more-- just look at how we can dance up a storm--

How is your day going?  Don't ever be like everyone else--  Never be afraid to be unique----authentic--

Son#2 is in Britain-flew overnight--probably sleeping now--  I was happy to see his text early this morning-saying, "landed"----Apparently it was a very full flight--His pictures will begin to arrive later on--

I must get this house tidied--and get on with the day-----I saw the meme below and thought of all of us-- trying to declutter what went before us, and reliving our memories  as each day passes now and everyday--The above reminds us to  forge ahead , and to make new memories-- not relive the past -
