You are special because---

We walk through many storms----Mom used to say, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. " Yesterday was a good example--I wanted to weed whack but I could not remember how to get the weed whacker machine to go--(Himself always tells me, that I am losing my mind now , because of my "older age"--of---82 -------- ( I do not respond--out loud-- !--)-- But--You know, I filled the machine with the gas mixture---moved a couple of buttons --and voila, the weed whacker began to go--and I trimmed all the side lawn and the front--I felt stronger because I did it! --  My trouble is, I have to walk thru so many storms---

                                                                        True eh?

I did not take Himself to his Day Program to-day as that scope  kinda "did him in"--  "pooped him out," as Dad used to say--I may regret not taking him,  by Monday, which is a holiday---- the Queen's Birthday--
And we are supposed to have 2 days of sunshine, starting tomorrow--so, I may get the grass on  the lake side of the house cut--I used the new lawn mower yesterday, and I am beginning to like it---(another storm Ive had to walk thru)--- I discovered when you buy a battery lawn mower, it takes up to 12 hrs to fully charge a new battery----  amazing how the mower works with a fully charged battery!---  There is so much to learn isn't  there?----Good thing  that we are tough, I'd say!

Lopez is  crying---wants to come upstairs here and chase Sushi----  He really is a little rascal---tough little guy too!-----Women should be more like a Chihuahua----Just remember----- - Have a great day---and remember that "YOU"-----are  special--because-----

  1. Good morning, Lynda! My nephews went to a car show so I will be Sadie until they come back this evening. We will pick up dinner tonight. Yes, Tommy likes to harrass Kloi so I keep a collar on him with a remote. Lol Although, Kloi used to harrass her big brother when she was little. You need a battery weed eater. We have all battery stuff. Much easier for us women who have enough aggravation. Right? Lol Rained all night here in Ohio but has stopped now. Thank goodness, so the boys can enjoy the car show. Don’t work too hard! Hugs!

  2. It's Kathy. I love all the memes today! Yes, we are strong because we have to be. I should learn how to use our weed-wacker because while my husband mows the lawn with the riding lawn mower, he only does the parts he can do with the mower. So all the grass around the trees and around the gardens don't get done. It doesn't bother him but it drives me crazy! I think you're one of the strongest women I know - getting everything done mostly by yourself all the while helping himself! Thank you for this positive blog today, I really needed to hear all of this!

  3. Love the older meme! We are still young at heart...just certain parts of us seem older!
If Himself didn't have the energy to go to his day program, maybe it's better that he can stay home and rest.
We are having great weather, too. Mostly sunny, no rain, very little breeze...and no black flies here. Haven't even seen a house fly or gnat yet.
Just did a couple errands. I will have a busy next few days.
My daughter wants to get together tomorrow. I haven't heard the time, but WE HAVE KARAOKE and leave at 630. I invited them. She probably won't go for that and will want to get together for lunch. Sunday I will probably be exhausted from the busy Saturday with no nap and karaoke (getting home at 12). Sunday I go to the Minneapolis Veteran's Hospital for my appointment with my primary care doc.
Hope I'll get a rest after that one.
Sweet Lopez needs relief from boredom...Sushi is his answer to that! Maybe when you go back downstairs he'll be all right.
Hope you get done what you wish to get done, dear...and a rest! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  5. Hi Lynda, great inserts. Yes indeed, if at first you don't succeed try, try again. You are mastering all the garden equipment lol. You've already mastered the snow blower so you are a certified landscaper lol. Good on you. 12 hrs for lawnmower charge is quite a long time. It's called planning ahead.
Fred resting at home is good....hope it stays good since he won't be able to go Monday.
Lopez is a little trouble maker. Sushi will set him straight if she gets the chance.
    Hot in St.Louis...high 70sF.
Enjoy your day. You are so very special...a blessing to your family and all of us. Thank you for your daily updates. I love reading them.
    Hugs and blessings

  6. Hi Lynda: Brave woman. Himself may be in a bad mood with not going to the Lodge until next Wednesday. But nothing you can do about it since the test wore him out. Hopefully no negative results come back from the scope. Poor Lopez probably didn't want to be left alone downstairs if everyone was upstairs. Sounds like your next season of work has started. Landscaping instead of snow! Try to relax tonight. Hugs Brenda
