You just need to believe!

The year's at the spring, and day's at the morn: Morning's at seven;  The hill-side's dew-pearled:  The lark's on the wing,  The snail's on the thorn; God's in his heaven----All's right with the world.___-------Robert Browning

What season do you enjoy the most?  ---probably summer  ?----  Spring IS exciting tho--like, everything  is waking up from a winter's sleep ----Summer is fun for sure,   and  Fall is beautiful--

Spring to me is like being born again----The birds return---The grass begins to grow ---Leaves return on the trees---and----then-----BLACKFLIES ----which I suppose have some purpose  ----

How are you all this morning?--  We did have a pretty good day yesterday ---and I have decided that I really am WAY too young to be this old--so, I shall not think about "aging" anymore--- because--the more one does  give it too much thought----well, you know----BUT--  Adlai Stevenson said, "It is not the years in your life but the life in your years that count."  And that is true isn't it?

Groceries seem to be the number one item on the agenda to-day--The number two thing is raking the front grass AND fertilizing- so, as I once heard one child say, "Let's get this baby into action!"---and, the sooner I get to town, the better--

We both got a "Covid Booster" shot yesterday--  They told us, everyone over 80 yrs (SEE?----that is ME!)----  needs  it--  No pain-- nothing--  AND, I PUSHED HIMSELF RIGHT INTO THE CLINIC IN HIS WHEEL CHAIR___Holy Cow --"without"-- him yelling and screaming that I was going to bounce him out----  Holy Cow eh?

Life is certainly not easy , but-----we shall not think about that, and carry on here--- because--- WE ARE STRONGER than we believe--Right?---

                                                            --no matter what it takes----RIGHT?

I shall talk to you all this evening--- read how your day is going--- and  I know it will go well, because, YOU WILL MAKE IT GO WELL!-----big hugs-----now SMILE and get outta here!

  1. Hi Lynda, lovely morning in St.Louis. It's sunny, birds chirping, gentle breeze and 78F. Rain later today.
You got himself a shot with no problems from him. Yahoo. We got the booster several weeks ago. I've lost track but by now we've likely had 7. Shots may never end. But, gotta do whatcha gotta do when my himself has a myriad of health issues.
I agree, how the heck did I get this old
..but I'm blessed and able to do what I need to do.
Our power is currently off. Projection for restoration isn't until 2pm. Laundry, vacuuming, and cooking have to wait.
I'm glad your outing with the doc was good.
I picked up a few items at grocery store early. It gets so crowded on weekends and traffic gets tricky.
Spring and fall are my favorite seasons. Love the new beginnings and flowers in Spring. Summer is good for driving but when it gets terribly hot I end up cooped up in the house, just like winter. I don't mind the cold but despise the ice and sleet of winter.
Oh wow, power just came back on. Yipee
Stay strong and AWESOME. YOU ARE AMAZING.
    HUGS AND BLESSINGS
    Marge/St.Louis

  2. Nope. . . my favorite seasons are spring and autumn, in that order! LOL

Glad you both got your Covid shots. We got ours, too. Better safe than sorry, eh!

Soooo glad that you were able to get Himself in the w/c into the clinic w/o incident! Progress.

    Here’s to a good weekend.

  3. Good morning, sis.
I did some shopping, too...more than I thought I was going to get.
Went to Walmart for a refund on some cans of food Lucky can't eat. Seems he has a very sensitive stomach. Maybe that comes with age. Ended up getting a smaller pair of pants, denture 'glue,' cookies, my diet 7-up...
You will have a good time getting your groceries, too. The hard part is getting all inside and putting it all away. For me, anyway. I believe I have seen you mention that, too.
Commenting very early as there is karaoke tonight. I get home so late you would have already read all the comments.
Love the memes. You're right. We make our day (and our whole life) by our attitude, our thoughts, etc. We just gotta focus on the good stuff, and know that we wouldn't know what we really want if we didn't have what we don't want. Hmm...
Time for a wee lunch now...leftovers from last night. Then a snooze with Lucky. When we get up, it will be a snack, meditate, shower and change for karaoke.
Hope you get a bit of raking done...but don't push it...it's the weekend!
    {{{HUGS}}}Love, Maggie

  4. It's Kathy. Another rainy, cloudy day here - fits my mood (Dreary). Didn't sleep well at all last night, my leg bothers me so much at night. But today I have the CT Scan and while I don't see the doctor until the 23rd, at least I know that things are in process. Maybe that will help my mind settle. Went back to bed with my husband and Daisy this morning and slept until 10! Guess I needed it. Good for you both for getting your Covid booster. I'm happy to hear that it was quick and easy! Take care and enjoy your day today!

  5. Catching up on your blogs this afternoon - I have been extremely busy with several things and just haven't had much time to spend on my computer. Had my prayer group here yesterday morning and they stayed for several hours. Had to clean like crazy to prepare for them and baked a gooey butter cake that we ate with coffee/tea. It was a very pleasant morning. Today is a very pleasant day....but ground is still wet - but I went out and mowed for 4 hours anyway because more storms are predicted for tonight. I hate it when the big mower leaves dark marks on the lawn, but I felt it was now or I would be fighting even taller grass if I waited until next Monday! Worse part was spraying down and washing the mower as it was really dirty and full of wet grass when I finally finished. The man I called came Thursday and took down the the huge tree in my backyard that was dying. I was afraid a wind would come and it would fall on my pool! He only charged me $1200 - hahaha! -only! Oh well, couldn't do it myself and he hauled it all away! Anyway, his trucks made ruts in my yard which mad it even worse for mowing today! But I need to quit complaining and just be thankful that the job is done before the pool gets opened in another week or so! And summer is my favorite season - because I like to be outside and more of my grands come around in summer when there is no school! I am the housekeeper, yard mower, bush trimmer and weed whacker here - and oh yes - the pool cleaner maintenace gal too! You just do what you gotta do to keep living the best life. Hope you are having a great day! Picking up lunch today sounds like it will make it a nice afternoon for you!

  6. Hi Lynda: My favourite season is summer. I like the heat. Second would be spring as it starts to get warmer, sunnier, longer days and then it turns into summer! Glad your outing with himself went well with no problems even getting the shot. May your weekend go as well. Supposed to be rainy here on the weekend but mostly light. Love your meme about being too young to be this age!. I agree with that. Have a good night. Brenda

  7. Oy! Yesterday? Who remembers yesterday when today is already ending? Yesterday to be honest was a bit on the hectic side; today went more smoothly. Ember is growing up! My son and his wife brought Carl over to play this afternoon, and they both commented on how big she has grown. I noticed it by where her paws reach when she tries to get to something I have "put up". The dining room table is no longer safe, the kitchen counters soon will be at risk. Yikes!

I sure hope the training of the "off" command catches on and sticks because this one is going to be a big girl!

Yes, too young to be this age, for sure!

Hope you have a good Sunday ahead!

  8. Good evening, Lynda! I like all seasons. I don't like Winter weather but I do like the quietness it brings. I had a good day. I went for flowers and shrubs this morning, picked up lunch and a coffee. My nephew called this afternoon. He is looking forward to getting to Ohio for the Summer when school is out. He loves the yorkies. He is going to Bermuda in September with his mom. He is looking forward to it. So happy Himself played right along to go get the booster with you. How are you feeling from it today? Hope you had a super Saturday! Hugs!
