The Happiness Fairy just sprinkled Happy Dust all over you------- You WILL have a great day---
The man of the house is at his "Day Program"--- and getting him to go, was not an easy chore--He gets his own ideas that when the lady who runs the program is away, that he does not want to go----BUT--- I GOT HIM THERE___late of course----but--"Better late than never--"----and I know when he comes home, he will be happier, just to get out of the house--
I spoke to Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot , on my way home this AM--He is sitting in Montreal, waiting to go to Brazil, this evening--He will be flying over the equator in the night and that is where the cooler air meets the hot air, and he expects turbulence around there. I hope everyone in his "plane" buckles up--- I know he will tell his passengers--He tells me that people who fly that route often, are always aware of the turbulence in that area.
Did you enjoy the weekend?-- I sure did! And I did get the front and side lawn cut--have the lake side now to work on--There is no time for a "Pity Party"--just because I am "sorta old"- does not mean that I cannot push a lawnmower does it? --Aging --is not an excuse--
I never remember my Mom , EVER cutting grass--Funny eh?--- You know, I do not remember my Dad doing that either--- Maybe my 2 brothers cut the front and back lawn-- I don't know--so, perhaps I should have stressed to my children how important it would be to take care of their Mom and Dad----particularly the "MOM"-----oh well---I must not mourn that now---- Dad used to say, "The good Lord helps those who help themselves!"--Maybe its the colour on my head--the Hair Dye-- that is deceiving---you think???
So, is your day going well?------a smile always helps----a song perhaps--always remember that you can choose to be strong---------
Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Thank you for your prayers. Yes, I have to just Buck Up! I probably won't be able to have the surgery until sometime in August so I have a couple months to take care of the important things. Every day I think of another thing I need to do before surgery! But there are a lot of days in 2 months. Thank you for the Fairy Dust! It must be working because I feel so much better today. And I agree, I'm too young to be this old! I love hearing about your son the pilot - it must be so exciting to go to so many interesting places. I've been to many of the states in the US but only to Japan, Ireland and Norway internationally. We have traveled to Canada a couple of times too. Back in the day when all we needed was a driver's license! Today is my catch up day - it rained overnight with possible rain throughout the day so it's time to start working inside! I'm so glad himself went to the Day Center. There are a lot of times when I really just don't want to go anywhere but when I make myself go, I always feel better afterwards. Have a wonderful day today!
ReplyDeleteYes, I picked Fred up and asked him if he liked the program and he said "YES--He did---"---so I guess it was worth the trip there and back-Its meeting the people there that make him happier--and it gave me more time to work around here-- Hugs-Lynda
DeleteGood Morning, Lynda! Today is going well so far. My version of Sadie came out while the electrician was here installing two new light fixtures and an exhaust fan "innards". Somehow having light on your counters and things cleaner make for a better day, don't they?
ReplyDeleteEmber has been nicer to me so far today, and I have been more consistently patient with her, too. So yes, a good day!
Wishing you the same, and I know Fred will feel better for his going to his lodge!
Yes Fred was definitely better after going to his Day Program--Poor you and Ember--- It takes time to raise a pup but it is all worth it--She looks like a deep thinker---- That is a good thing--LOL--I sure miss big Beau ---- Give Ember a big hug for me-Lynda
DeleteSis, that last meme was powerful! Saved the first two.
ReplyDeleteYes, I enjoyed last weekend, but now another will start! Great news for all those people who work full time Monday through Friday.
I'm glad Himself went to the day program. You're right, better late than never.
You stated in your comments to me yesterday that you have thyroid disease and that that is also an autoimmune disease. I have low thyroid myself and am on meds for that.
Ran a friend for her errands this morning, and did some shopping myself (yogurt, bread, cat food and ice cream). She treated me to breakfast.
You do lots of lawn work. Let Sadie handle the inside work (don't you wish, huh?)
I am sure your son and his passengers know how to handle the turbulence. You and he will feel relief, though, when he is through it.
Chrome is giving me a warning that my virus protection needs fixing. Better go check that now.
Hope the rest of your day goes smoothly...remember not to try to get everything done at once! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie--WE both have a Low Thyroid--I am on Synthroid for that-I have been on that for years--I managed to cut the grass on the lake side--- so that was a good thing-- matt will be in the air soon-----busy day here--but himself was good-- --Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, thanks so much for the fairy dust. Yes, I do feel better. Magic in fairy dust.
ReplyDeleteGlad you "pursuaded" himself out the door this morning. He'll be fine.
My mom mowed the yard, not my dad or brothers. I mowed ours, not himself. I enjoyed grass cutting. I miss it now that we're in a villa and a lawn service does it.
Got up EARLY, 4am, a bit of insomnia happening. Sadie and I cleaned the bathrooms and Roomba did the floors. I went to Sr. Weights and Toning at the gym and picked up a few grocery items on the way home. I'm off to do some stocking at the food pantry. When I return. It will be time to prepare dinner for himself. That's a routine day.
Brazil sounds quite exotic. Pilot son will let you know he's safely landed.
Rain on the way tonight and Saturday so no outdoor activities this weekend but forecasters are often wrong.
Have a blessed day
STAY STRONG
Hugs
Marge/St.Louis
Oh dear--YU were up at 4am??_-That is worse than me--but--yu did get a lot done which must've made you feel good.Hopefully we don't get rain to-morrow---dunno--- Lynda
DeleteGood afternoon Lynda, Thanks for the Fairy Dust, I needed that. Dan mowed our lawn this morning. He has a rider. I usually weed whip while he mows but I am dealing with a bout of diverticulitis. I developed this an I am still trying to figure out what to eat. I need to let my stomach rest so I am pretty much on a liquid diet. At least for the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteThis is a horrible way to lose weight. Glad himself is doing ok. Don't work to hard and enjoy your piano.
Your Friend
Bev
Poor yu with tunny problems--must be difficult!--It was a lovely warm day here today-- Lynda
DeleteLOVE the Happiness Fairy Dust! Worked well today.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got Himself to the Lodge. Sometimes for me it’s a struggle to get myself out of the house, but . . . once I’m out, I’m glad I did!
Safe flying to Son #2 tonight. He’ll take good care of his passengers.
Looking forward to the weekend. Tomorrow . . . . First Saturday of JUNE! Unbelievable.
Yes, sometimes it’s hard to believe we are the ages we are!
Good day today. DH had a business meeting, then went to lunch w/a friend. Had a nice time. He is always energized when he does these things, so . . . I ENCOURAGE IT! And, it gives ME some ME time hee hee. Always welcomed.
Beauty of a day . . . . sunshine, so that helps fuel the magic in a good day!
Hugs
