Always remember how special you are!

I have learned that I have to "MAKE" it a wonderful day----There are so many things that can get in the way of  that word, "WONDERFUL"---For instance, to-day, Himself seems good--- no Day Program though---and I have arranged to pay his taxes----so that is out of the way---I believe it will be a better day to-day, than yesterday--and there will be NO CRYING---  Lord love a Duck!---

--and we have rain falling--AGAIN---and the grass needs raking , which will eventually get done---I hear that Son#2, the Pilot , is off to England to-night-----More food pictures will be on their way--eventually----groceries to-morrow-----fruits and vegetables will be a priority--oranges, and berries---

How is your day going?---  Is it raining in your area?---Are the Humming birds back to your windows? I haven't seen them here--yet-----Have gasoline prices increased where you live?--  They have here--Are you "HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT "--to-day?---Do you get a lot of help  in your life----like  a house keeper, or a gardener ?-----and lastly-----Are you grown children a tad bossy?---
I just found the above , pretty funny---AND true!

So, I must call the Clinic and get the latest update on a Covid Booster--- tidy the house----  and get to town with Himself to fill the car up with gasoline--and we are getting a "take-out" lunch----

To-day might be a good day to just sit and remember all the good people and events, that we have had in our lives----

AND--always remember how special you are!-

  2. Awww, NO CRYING. That’s a good goal. ((HUGS)) Sporry Himself doesn’t have the Lodge today, but I know you’ll make it a good day.

Nice day! The sun is out (though that is going to change – soggy week ahead), but for today, I’ll enjoy the sun.

No hummers yet. A little too early. By the end of the month they’ll be here

Actually, our gasoline prices have gone down 10 cents/gallon, but I KNOW that will change come Memorial Day when people are ‘on the road’ for the holiday.

No, not a lot of help in my life here, but thankfully it’s manageable. Jason is back to PT for core strengthening and balance work, so that takes up a lot of time for both of us. That’s fine! Makes me glad that he’ll do what he needs to in order to remain stable. He has spinal stenosis, so pain and it affects his hands and legs. *SIGH* I’d rather have it then him, but . . . not how things were arranged.

Well, hope that DS enjoys his food in London.

Enjoy your take-out lunch w/Himself. Good for both of you to get out and about.

    Hugs

  3. I am a widow, and since you asked, no, I get no help. My only child, a daughter, lives a thousand miles away. So, we all must keep on keeping on, doing the best we can. Thank you for the positive messages.
My best advice to myself is to find some enjoyment in each day and “maybe tomorrow I”ll get to that’😁”.

  4. It's Kathy. Yes, you're right. We have to MAKE it a good day. I've been forgetting that a lot lately. But today, so far, is a pretty good day. Tom and I went to Costco for a few things - always a challenge because Costco is so filled with people just wandering around. But it was a quick trip. In a bit we'll go to the actual grocery store for a few things and then we are also getting take out for lunch! And it's going to be in the high 60's by this afternoon so Daisy and I will certainly get out for a short walk. You asked about help, not really. When I was recovering from my back surgery not one single one of my children offered to come by and help clean. And now the yard needs to be cleaned up and the garden bed needs to be prepared. Tom talks about what we should do but will he do it? Probably not. So Daisy and I will be out there pulling weeks and hauling dirt! But as you say so many times, we are strong women! Enjoy your day!

    1. Rain again? Well, it is better than snow. It will grow your flowers, grass, weeds and nurture the little critters and birds, too. Do you have a bird bath?
No, I've seen no hummingbirds yet.
I messaged my local 'adopted' daughters to ask if the lilacs were ruined. You know with all the rain, gale force winds, etc. LeAnne said they are fine and she will let me know when they are ready for picking. Their driveway, on the far side of town (they're the couple I used to pet sit for) is lined with lots of lilac bushes.
For a change, we have a completely sunny day. I am careful to wear my sunglasses.
My main check will come late this afternoon. I have all my bills figured out, and a grocery list, too. I pay most of the bills online. I would do a food order that way, too, 'cept I need to go to Walmart to return something.
Haven't seen Sadie yet, but she will probably be around for a while.
Lunch out sounds fun. You may take Himself to his favorite McDonalds.
I will have another of my huge salads for supper. Have no idea yet what to have for lunch. Maybe nothing. I just scarfed down a pecan sticky bun I got on clearance at my favorite grocery a couple days ago. There were 4 in the package. There's 1 left.
I am very happy that today is a better day for you! It is for me, too, and hopefully, your other followers. Lots of what kind of day we have is our mindset. We gotta look for things to appreciate and focus on them.
Hope your rain stops. Drive carefully in it. I was told not to use cruise control in the rain cuz you can hydroplane.
Did you see my very late comment yesterday?

  6. Hi Lynda, glad to hear himself and things are better today. I didn't comment yesterday as had 2 doctor appts. for himself and time got away from me. I hope you enjoyed getting out for hair day.
It stormed/rained last night with more rain in forecast. It's 60sF in St.Louis and cloudy.
There have been hummingbird sightings but I haven't seen any.
    Do I have help
..LOL...absolutely none. That's why I adore you and your postings as it's all mine to do. As long as I can do it, life rolls along smoothly.
Gas prices increased here too. By memorial Day they'll likely raise again.
Glad you'll have a little outing and lunch out.
I need to do some errands so need to roll.
    Sadie was here early.
Only child, son gives his opinions freely BUT if I give mine...that's a no go. Kids!
I heard yesterday Air Canada is going to have a route to St.Louis but I didn't hear where it will go in Canada...likely Toronto. Pilot son might get to St.Louis which won't be exciting like the places he goes but there are McDonalds here lol.
    You are AWESOME...don't forget that.
    Hugs and blessings

  8. Glad you will go to town, get gassed, and pick up lunch, no thought provoking time over what to make for lunch! Your rain in May will usually happen, keeps everything green. Glad your son is back in London, eating whatever he enjoys. We have to be grateful to have choices of food, live indoors, safe from whining and moaning. Stay safe!
