Good morning---- The doggie guests have gone home---left around 10pm last night-- It seems so quiet on the home front without them.--- To-day Himself goes to his day program at the Lodge-- We will be leaving shortly---He seems eager to get out of here--That is a good thing!
He got is results yesterday from the bowel scope --all went well--- with not a big problem--so, he was right to have it done, even tho I was against it. Funny how he knows all this--- The Dr came to the house-rode his bike over--- opened the gate and came right upstairs -- That must sound funny to you all, but we live in a small town, in the north and everyone knows everyone--and the Doctor just lives down the lake from us--
I will return --must get Lopez out--then Himself to town---then be back--Hang in----- LOL---- Oh--- never got to read all yer comments lat night --will this morning--- See yu all in a bit--
Yes--just back--I read all your comments from last night, you good people!--- Son #3 returned home here, from Toronto last evening--then drove 10 km north to our place, to get his 2 dogs-so--it was after midnight when he got here, and you know me----Ms Worry Wart--- was so worried he might hit a moose, in the dark and late nite--So-----guess what?--- After saying good bye to the pooches, I just went to bed--completely forgetting to turn on the computer--Crazy me!!!
Last night also, I opened the refrigerator --=TO GET OUT ICE CREAM--- (I was worried--remember?)
And guess what?--The ice cream was all melted--like soup--Someone-(like maybe Himself?) had flipped the water thing up in the ice maker and the freezer was all thawing-----so--I guess it was GOD up there in Heaven, protecting me from the ice cream---
Good morning, Lynda! Happy news that Himself had no big problems. My husband is off today and on dog duty so enjoying my yorkie break. Always crazy in Yorkieville! LOL Tommy escaped out the door the other day. My dogs respond well to the “cheese” word, thank goodness! My nephew comes for the Summer tomorrow. Happy for that. Cloudy and cool in Ohio. It’s Memorial Day. Will grill some hamburgers and hot dogs. Enoy your day and have a Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteYour dogs sound cute--Enjoy yer Memorial Day--===Nice to get a change from a routine eh??-- Lynda
DeleteAh, a fairly quiet house, I assume, with the doggy guests back home.
ReplyDeleteGlad that Himself is eager to go to Daycare! Nice for BOTH of you.
Nice that the Dr. lives so close by! Glad to hear Himself’s scope was good. PHEW.
Here’s to a peaceful day!
Hugs

Well--almost the scope was good-- but--- we are not going to do anything about it Barb-- Yes--I do love those dogs --but--- nice to see them go home too-LOL--Lynda
DeleteLynda, happy all is well with you. Of course, we kinda are concerned when you don't comment...
ReplyDeleteI am sure that, though you adore your grand-dogs, you will be calmer without them.
Very glad that all went well with the procedure, and that Himself is at his program. You can get stuff done then.
Sadie already has done a couple loads of laundry here. She has a bit more to do...folding, hanging, putting away and the kitchen floor.
I will check back later for comments on both blogs.
{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
OMG--was so happy to say goodbye to Phil's dogs, that I just went to bed and never thought to comment--=so bad of me! -And his dogs were very good pooches!-- I dropped Fred--stopped at bank--ran into a grocery-- and got gas in the car-- never ever enough time in a day -as yu know--Happy that yu are on here--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteFor some reason, my last post to you disappeared! That has happened to me a couple of times! Oh well, today is a new day and maybe this one won't disappear. Sounds like a good day for you! Someone helping with the grass, Fred happy to go to the Lodge, extra doggies have gone home! It is Memorial Day here. I thought maybe some of my kids and grandkids would come out an want to hang around the pool - but doesn't seem like that they will come....they are all so busy. In the blog that disappeared I was telling you about how the strong winds the other night blew my hightop unbrella table over and busted all the tiles in it and blew a chair and some other stuff into the pool! #2 son came over and helped me clean up the mess. Had more storms yesterday and now the grass needs to be cut but it is way too wet, so it will have to wait. I wanted to share with you that I just finished reading "The Women" by Kristin Hannah....and since you are a nurse, I think you would really enjoy it....a tear-jerker, but so appropriate in regards to Memorial Day, as it is about nurses in the Viet Nam conflict. It is a historical fiction novel....and I cried several times - sometimes just had to put the book down and go do something else for a while, just to give my head/heart a rest. I listen every morning to a blog website called "The God Minute" - and this morning Father Ron said stores and shopping and restaurants should be closed today because of all the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for all of us so that we would have the freedoms we enjoy - shopping, eating out, Starbucks, golfing, etc....a very profound thought - as we seem to think of it as a party-time! We barbeque, go boating, golfing, swimming, shop the Memorial Day sales, etc. Kind of made me rethink everything, especially after reading the book "The Women".
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra--Wonder why it disappears??--That wind you speak of sounds strong--There have been a lot of storms in the US--maybe that was part of it??Oh--I must get that book--"The Women"--- I so appreciate you telling me that!Thank yu------ Interesting --the blog you listen to--=and so true eh??---POn our Memorial Day--everything was closed--- but---Canada is still very British--Always nice to hear from yu-Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: Glad your doggie guests didn't stay too long. Very good that himself wants to get out to daycare. Great sign that he likes it there and if he has to move there it shouldn't be as terrible for him instead of going elsewhere. I think a house move would be more difficult for him. Glad his scan came back with no problems. Good that doctor lives so close. Have a good day. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda-- Happy to see yu on here-- yes--his scan did show a bit of some abnormal cells but--- at his age--- no problem-- Yes he was happy to get to the Lodge today-Lynda
DeleteI know I haven't commented in a few days, but I'm still hanging in, too. That's good news, both about the results, and that Himself is going to his day place so you can have a bit of a break. Love the small town feeling in your neck of the woods, and it's not surprising to anyone who has ever lived in a rural area!
ReplyDeleteHope your Monday goes well!
- Barb (OKM)
H Barb--managed a few grocery titbits plus gas --home again--going to push that vacuum around--How did your wee Ember make out with yer outing the other day?--Lynda
DeleteShe did very well, thank you! Ember did throw up (minor) on the way TO the BBQ, but managed the trip home without losing her supper! Of course, the cautionary note is that I carefully controlled what she was allowed to eat at the gathering (I packed her regular kibble, and hand fed her a small amount).
DeletePoor her eh??---Does she not like the car??--Remember Beau used to vomit in the car--never got used to it--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda
ReplyDeleteGood news on Freds teat results and that he looks forward to going to the lodge. That time he's away gives you a breather.
I'm glad the extra puppies left. I know you enjoy them but its extra work for you.
Quiet is good.
Staying in the moment is sometimes difficult for those of us who like to "plan ahead". When I stay in the moment I so appreciate the beauty of nature, the singing of birds and even the noisy cicadas. It's a beautiful day in St.Louis. we had storms and heavy rains, wind and hail yesterday. Sun and a high of 80F today. Just gorgeous.
We'll be leaving soon to attend a Memorial day service. It's become a day off work, shopping, boating, swimming for most Americans, unfortunately.
I loved that the doc rode his bike over. I miss some things about small town living. I don't miss that everyone knows your business and gossip runs rampant.
Have a wonderful day.
Sadie came early and got her inside tasks done.
Hugs and blessings
Marge/St.Louis
hi Marge--Yes happy that scope is over----- He worried a lot about it--We had a buggy overcast day here today--Nice to have a holiday Monday isn't it?? I'm glad that you enjoyed it-Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I'm glad himself was happy to go to his Day program today. We have rain again. I feel like it's rained at least a little bit every day for a week. It's good, the grass seed that I planted is really popping up now. I'm hoping to get a bit more grass planted before it gets too hot. Sorry about the ice cream but yes, it saved you from indulging. Our freezer downstairs doesn't close well unless I make sure - which I didn't one day a couple years ago and we had to toss a whole lot of things that were in there. I have resigned myself to the possible surgery, now I have a whole list of things swirling in my head that need to get done! Starting today! Hope your day is a good one.
ReplyDeletePoor you--worrying about that surgery--but--after you will probably feel better---I hope! Rain here all day also--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, me again...Marge/St.Louis.
ReplyDeleteOh yes sometimes it's hard...keep friggin going. Just returned from outing with my himself. OMG at times he is above and beyond my patience allowance for the "year" LOL. IS WHAT IT IS. HE IS A VERY SWEET MAN, but molasses DOES move faster. I NEED the chocolate and the 6 million.
Sorry about freezer, but, you didn't eat ice cream and your arteries say thank you.
Carry on dear lady.
Beautiful here today
Marge
Hello Marge--kinda a sleepy " lazy day here-- overcast and a bit wet-- a day to stay on the couch--Lol-Lynda
DeleteHey listen Lynda - could you put me on the list for the chocolate & 6 million $?????????????? Thanks Friend....you made me laugh on this one.
